When she was out of high school she moved out on her own to go to New York University to pursue a law degree. During her time at NYU she always had her nose in a book trying to keep up with her 18 credit course load, and it paid off; she graduated as one of the top in her class. After taking her LSATs and passing the bar, she got a job in New Jersey as a paralegal for a small law firm. By the time she was 29, she had the honor of working for the NJ US attorney’s office. Her career wasn’t spectacular; while she did work on organized crime cases she was mostly handed the lower priority cases due to her being the newest member of the division. It was mostly low level flunkies for the gangs she was prosecuting. However, that didn’t mean she wasn’t a skilled lawyer. She was known to never give up in court and won a good chunk of her cases because of it. She would fight tooth and nail with the defense lawyer finding the smallest holes in testimony and evidence.
