Wishes Gone Wrong (Genie & Witch RP)

I'm looking to play a guy who inherits an old mansion only to discover it's still inhabited by a Genie and a Witch -- and they have no intention of leaving. Looking for it to play at as a mix between 'I Dream of Jeanie' and 'Bewitched' -- with potential for it to be a love triangle, but that sort of stuff will probably depend on how things turn out.

The general idea is that I, the mortal man, and the Genie and Witch, agree to open up the mansion as a hotel for guests; both supernatural and normal. It'll have comedy, romance, lots of magic and supernatural mystery.

I'll be playing the mortal man ; Charlie.
Seeking a GENIE and a WITCH.
There's room for more characters if there is enough interest.

Great. I'm looking for a Bewitched type which. Basically you're not very good at the normal living side of things; you know all about your witchy world and powers, even though you might still find the odd tough spell a bit too tricky from time to time. Definitely not the green skin and boils type. Thanks for your interest. Want to fill out a character sheet?

Bring your own charm to it of course. I'm thinking that you are a person from a different time in history (could be a decade or two ago, or many centuries ago) who has found themselves stuck as a genie in modern times. You've got to adjust to it as best you can. Maybe the mansion used to belong to your family once upon a time and that's why you refuse to leave. As for your powers I imagine you can do a lot of reality changing without needing someome to make a wish. But when someone does then your magic becomes super powerful. The three wishes rule doesn't have to exist for this.

I would imagine as well that the genie has no choice but to grant the wish? Also as for the age of my witch, would it be plausible for my witch to have maintained her physical and mental youth, but have been born in the early 1900's?

As well @QTmutie, is your character complete? It helps in character creation to see what would fit best with the others around it, you see. If he is, he could be a good jumping off point for our characters.

As well @QTmutie, is your character complete? It helps in character creation to see what would fit best with the others around it, you see. If he is, he could be a good jumping off point for our characters.


I was going to go for a pretty standard character to off-set both of yours. So--

Bio: Alana, when she was still mortal, grew up with in a poor family with 4 other siblings. Her older brother died when she was eleven in a gang fight, making her the oldest from that point on. As she got older, she struggled to support her family and had to juggle multiple jobs. One day, when she was trying to look around for money there was a strange man who offered her the powers to make all of her dreams come true because magic truly did exist. She didn't believe it at first, but she was desperate and gave it a shot. However, while the man did grant her magical powers, she was trapped in a mansion like a modern genie. She could send magic gifts to her family from a distance, but she could never see them ever again.

Name: Lilura “Lila” Maeveen (May-veen)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Bio: Lila had always been a traveller, over distance and time alike (as such, she's actually older than she appears, but this is measured only in numbers, not in mental or physical condition). On her travels, she learned much about spell casting and potion mixing, becoming quite a talented witch despite her quirky nature, though of course some uncommon/difficult spells and potions are still works in progress. Over her travels, she befriended a genie, bound to a grand mansion that had lain abandoned for some time, as the owner lived elsewhere. Since then she’s lived in and maintained the mansion with her Genie friend, and has made it her permanent home.

This is very rough and barebones, but by the time a full sheet is released she'll be complete!
