And so we begin!

so I guess one of the first things we need to figure out is the nature or the rebellion, how is it orginized, where is it centered, who leads it and what ever detail strikes our fancy. Any thoughts?

I imagine that they work in the same manner that any rebellion does. They try to thwart the plans of The Empire by any means necessary. Either by means of espionage/infiltrating the ranks of The Empire, causing trouble for them at any time that they can.

Seems likely enough, I'd also imagine aiding in any local resistances open conflicts with the empire would be part of there activities. would they have a primar base/world? If so do you think it would be a cannon/disney world or would we like to make an original one for that?

The way I see it is that the Fighting Hearts have a reach that is so far that they at least have connections in most worlds that they can hide out in and calculate their plans. Though, I do imagine that they would have a HQ, as you said. I would suggest Disney Castle, but I would imagine that The Empire conquered that world first as it's the world that's the epicenter of the good guys.

Yeah Disney Castle would definatly be taken if the situation is as dire as it I get the feeling it is. On that thought, a neat plot idea, Upon conquring Disney Castle they destroyed the Corner Stone of Light. As the shards are being trasported the members of hte budding resistance strike and reclaim the broken bits of the artifact of light. Now important/active agents and leaders of the Fighting Hearts wear a shard of it as necklace to help ward of the dark as the travel and strike? Thoughts?

Though that brings me to anouther point. How are we traveling from world to world? Gummi Ship or Dark Doorways? While the gummi ship makes more sense it does post the problem of being more easily caught and monitored by the Empire.

I really like that idea about the Fighting Hearts -- especially the higher ups of them -- having the shards of The Conerstone of Light as necklaces. It would be a good reminder of what their fighting for.

As for the Fighting Hearts traveling, they're doing it via Gummy Ship. Your point about it being monitored by The Empire is a good one, but we can easily make the case that the Gummy Ship that they use is a special brand that is totally concealed from the Empire's ships systems.

"made of gummi blocks good for stealth and not for combat, the war of the rebellion is not in the stars its on the ground and in the hearts of the oppressed" so to speak? That works for me.

So what are your thoughts on the Empire itself? What feels like a good percentage of the universe conquered? what are there standard tatics/non-heartless soldiers like? How do they tend to employ the heartless? Anything unique about these heartless or are they simply the same elemental darkness as always just following a new master?

Yeah, that sounds about right.

I think it just depends on what direction we want to take it. If we're going for an almost apocalyptic feel, then more than 60% for sure. The thing I see is that The Empire has been at large for more than 10 years, slowly building their forces until they were able to strike -- Disney Castle being the first world to go under their control. Actually, I see Disney Castle being The Empire's base of operations.

As for how the Empire works, this is the way I see it.

The non-heartless/foot soldiers would work in a similar way that the Archadian Soldiers do in Final Fantasy XII. They're armored up and pose no real threat aside from the number game.

As for how the heartless would be deployed, I think you nailed it right on the head. They are simply following their new masters. As they did with Maleficent in Kingdom Hearts 1 and The Organization XIII in Kingdom Hearts 2. If you want, though, we could try to put some original spin on it. Though, nothing really comes to mind at the moment.

Nothing comes to my end either, seems like the sort of thing we can add in as 'new opposition' if we think of something as the story goes on.

That seems fear, the soldiers are the authority and brains, heartless are the muscle.

So they were a presences for 10 years, how long have they been the dominate force of the universe?

Well, the authority comes from the generals and The Emperor himself(the Darth Vader-esque figure). The soldiers and Heartless are the muscle. And the generals themselves, when needbe, are too the muscle.

They still are, but yeah. The way I think it would have worked was that The Emperor showed up at Disney Castle one random day, ten years ago, and singlehandedly took out the top authority figures of Light. And for ten years, established a dictatorship(or tyrannic rule, whichever you prefer), building his Empire to the point where, as stated, most worlds within immediate reach were consumed by darkness. And he declared martial law against anyone who even dared to go against him and his empire.

This is where I think the Fighting Hearts came into the picture. Maybe they started causing trouble for the empire a year ago. So we can at least have some groundwork to build our timeline of sorts.

I'd imagine there were a verity of resistance movements, mostly localized on individual planets and unorganized until the founders of the Fighting Hearts came along and gave them a unified goal, structure, and such.

on that note I'd say it would be best if we had our primary 2-4 characters of various rebel experience? One with lots and one with little, ya know? At least one of them should definitely be complacently new to it. Getting them involved would be a good way to do an opening plot line and get the world and the various power structures set up, ya know?

Yeah, I get what you mean. I think definitely for at least two of the characters we could apply that to. As we discussed in PMs, I think we should have two of our characters -- preferably our real mains -- be unaffilated with the Fighting Hearts until the Empire comes to their world(still need to decide on that), and have that being the first arc.

Also, what would you say to having Sora and Riku being the leaders of the Fighting Hearts?

I certainly can't think of others off the top of my head, I think they are as good as any.

That seems a good plan, next question. How common will key bladers a be? Will our newbs to the FH be key kids or shall we limit that among our 4 leads?

I think aside from Sora and Riku, there would probably only be 3-5 Keybladers in total, maybe 7 if we can figure a plot reason to have that many. I think we should severely limit, though. Make Keyblades and their wielders mean something. Too many KH rps that I have been in either had bullshit reasons for Keybladers or there were so many that the original purpose of Keybladers meant nothing.

As for your second question, absolutely. Our mains will definitely be Keyblade kids.

Quick thing about Riku and SOra. I think so that nothing is contradicting with the actual series, we should make it AU to the original series, but still employ some kind of backstory that Riku and Sora saved all of the worlds from Xehanort and his followers. Thoughts?

Works for me, gives them experience to be respected as leaders and coordinat an inter-world rebellion.

And Coolio, though one of mine may not be, though that is best saves for when we talk about our characters...which I suppose we could do now if you are down.

Exactly. One thing I'm excited about that front is that we can have them as Keyblade Grandmasters or something like that and have them have drive forms(my favorite thing bout KH2). I think while Sora would have something of a Paladin form, like Final Form, Riku would have something akin to his KH1 Dark Riku form. Maybe something more Dark Knight-ish.

I think we should first decide on what world we want our non-Fighting Hearts characters to be on. Though, as to which world, I'm not quite sure. I don't want to go to the cliche Twilight Town. I want to consider any and all options. If we can't get one down, then I think TT should be the one.

Heck yeah dark knight Riku.

As for where to start...good question. My only dedicated keyblader oc is a native to Wonder Land, but that doesn't make sense our starting point at large... We could use a squar game as our starting world, like an early FF or crono trigger or sword of mana. Something that's not at all in a game as of yet.
