Hey! My name's Ryciera. I'm an avid roleplayer, and have been for almost ten years now.

I'm currently a Lore administrator for MassiveCraft.com, a large-scale fantasy roleplay set on Minecraft. Otherwise, I love spending my time following Tumblr blogs about writing, studying web dev and Java programming, and scarfing down any food items unlucky enough to cross my mouth.

I'm very excited to get involved in this community, and can't wait to see what kind of roleplays I can squirrel my way in to! If you have any questions, ask away!

@Ellri: I absolutely love horror and sci-fi. I haven't swayed too far away from medieval fantasy in a long while, so it's difficult to give an idea of genre. But I do know I almost always manage to get sucked into criminal plot lines. If I had to do a shot in the dark, I'd say sci-fi and fantasy are what I get into the most.

As for your second question, I'm admittedly a bit confused. If you mean post length, I usually stick with 1-5 paragraphs. If you mean time I've been comfortable with my writing, I'd go with sometime in high school (the last 3-6 years or so).

I admit I was a bit interested in Minecraft roleplay for a little while, before I moved on to roleplay in another game and ultimately here.

@ArenaSnow Thank you! I thought I wouldn't get into minecraft roleplay myself, but I liked how accessible roleplay was and the effect of having a visual environment. Of course, then I dipped my fingers in the lore and started fixing as many problems as I could find. That's actually really interesting. Aside from the friends I met on minecraft, you're the first roleplayer I've seen who's done it.

Visual elements are very useful tools in RPs @Ryciera. We personally do it a touch more advanced than minecraft, building everything in sketchup. That lacks two features that would have been convenient: Interactive view & option for collaborative modification of the model. Games like minecraft can be beneficial for that. But the lack smaller details, non-right angles and the low amount of usable materials are big flaws in minecraft.

@Ellri What do you mean by "sketchup?" Actual drawing or just typical play-by-post rp?

The visible stuff is a weird obstacle, but we get past that with plugins to give items names and descriptions. Plus, the skins are kinda neat. Gives a good excuse to start interaction ("Hey, that's a nice ((pixel)) dress you have there!").

Actually it's kinda funny. When I first started with Minecraft roleplay, the server we were on was really like... the rp community was in its early stages and not too many folks liked how seriously we took it. Now the quality's much improved, but it's funny seeing that kind of thing happen.
