It kind of seems a bit redundant to restrict mecha to their canon pilots if you're not really getting their canon involved in the plot. Eh, I think I'm going to reconsider and withdraw too. It was a passing idea, and really I'm feeling my interest wane even after only a few posts. I was more interested in the mech than it's pilot anyway.

If I was interested in the setting, I would have used something from Code Geass instead. The complete lack of connection to the original settings is what lost my interest--the non-OG SRW games at least keep pieces of the setting for the mecha.

Why not give people the option of making an OC character that may or may not be from a canon series? I understand that by the rules, all OC chars must be part of the RP's main universe, but why can't they be OCs from an established franchise? Seems a lot of people are getting turned off by the restriction.
