Steve McIntosh was a moderately successful short story writer for an online magazine. He credited his success on the fact that to him his characters weren't just ideas, they were real to him.
One fateful day, however, he received a call that changed his life. His wife and three kids were killed in a car crash. Steve shut down. He couldn't handle it but, he realized, his characters could. That was when they started to come out and, after a few weeks, Steve had hidden himself so deep within his mind that he couldn't surface again. We, his characters, could, though.
One day we started throwing up, however, and passed out. We knew someone was trying to kill The Body, and we couldn't allow that. We decided then that we had to escape and find out who it was.
