Syrena looked at Loki before she watched swim up to the surface and towards the edge of the cove. She stayed in her spot within the water as she sensed his distress. It was known that mermaids also had some degree of psychic ability, like if they sense something has happened or that is currently happening, they would react quickly, and Syrena was already seeing it. Worried, she swam up to him and her hands gripped his left knee gently before her face showed at the surface, setting herself next to his left knee and leaning her head against it. "I'm sorry about Asgardian", she said to him simply in comfort, knowing that it was to mention Eric. Her brown hair was slicked back as it was damp and it dangled on her shoulders to her back.

A figure walked through the woods as a female figure appeared in the fog with her curled horns and her huge wings. Seeing the Jotun in the distance, talking to one of the mermaids, she hid herself behind a tree to watch them. It made Maleficent feel bad that Loki had to witness Eric's supposed suffering. He kept blaming himself ever since then and Maleficent found it hard to keep his mind off of him. The fairy stayed quiet as she watched him in the distance with her yellow-green eyes.

Loki had quickly come out of his thoughts of Eric, looking to his left when he felt a hand grip his left knee till he saw it was Syrena. He took notice of her gentle touch and comfort as she apologized, knowing about the Asgardian she was referring to. With a sad, small smile, the Jotun leaned over, placing a soft kiss on her forehead, his way of accepting her comfort. "Thank you. It takes time it seems. Time of which doesnt want to show itself. There is just so much I do not understand, Syrena. So many unanswered questions." He told her. Placing a hand on hers before getting to his feet. "There is much I am sure to attend to. I'll see again." The sad smile still there, but warm and remembering the swim they had. Getting his clothes back on, robes and all, he looked to Syrena one last time before waving to her. Unknowing to him that his mom was near and heading toward her hiding place.

Syrena felt his kiss on her forehead as she continued to listen to his distress. No matter how beautiful she was, she was gentle and compassionate to the Jotun. She knew that Loki cared about her a lot and that she did as well in return. Not to mention that her bond with her sisters was rather cold. Even when she was in trouble in the weeds, the other mermaids retreated without any visible concern. So, basically, Syrena was lonely. Until she met him. Her only true friend. "Yes. Time", she echoed him with her soft voice. "There is answer. For all questions", she said simply to him. As she heard that he was going to leave, she gripped his wrist as if she didn't want him to go, to make her feel alone. She made a desperate expression on her face as she did so. Of course Syrena didn't want to, but it was only because he was her only friend.

Maleficent, noticing her son beginning to leave, moved into the darkness of the fog that was near her hiding place, disappearing for her take flight back to the Hometree.

Loki hated to leave Syrena alone with you heartless sisters. But Loki had a duty, one her choose a long time ago. And that was being a protector of the Moors. To ensure it thrives and the resident within, happy. But the fact that he couldnt make all happy made his heart ache inside. "I am sorry, Syrena. You are never alone. I am always here." He had knelt down before her on the edge. His index finger lightly touched her chest. To her heart. "I will come back. That. I can ensure." With that, he waited for her to let go before he left. But he hoped to have cheered her up.

walking through the forest, seeing the faefolk around here and there, Loki did some patrolling, heading to the Hometree where he practically thought about spending some of his day on the highest branch he could get to.

Syrena kept her gaze on him as he knelt down to her level. As he apologized, she felt his finger touch her chest, where her heart was, telling her that he was always there for her. She wanted to make a tear run down her face, but she couldn't since she was so tough when it comes to emotion. Tears of joy were possible, but tears of sadness? Never visible. She finally released her grip on his wrist. "You sing song. It's message. To us", she tells him. The mermaid's song was very common to the mermaid society. 'My Jolly Sailor Bold' was the name. If anyone sung the mermaid song, it would summon them. Before he left, she managed to reach up slowly and pecked him a kiss gently. It wasn't the breathing magic, but a typical kiss. She let go after a few seconds. "Promise", she softly tells him as she slowly sunk into the water, disappearing.

Maleficent stood at the cliff of the Hometree as she looked upon the darkness of Asgard in the distance. "It's not normal for the kingdom to fall again like this", she spoke as she heard Loki climb upon the tree.

Loki said nothing, though continued to climb till he could see the fallen city of Asgard. He sat there. Watching as darkness still loomed it. "I have been patrolling the edges of the Moors. It was a surprise attack. As far as any of the Asgardian's knew....Eric...didnt know about it..." Loki said, knowing she would hear him for how high he was. He didn't want to seem to talk about this. He knew his mind was quite troubled. He tried to think of something else while he watched the Kingdom. Like the song that Syrena told him about. He was surprised that she would share something such as that, though felt happy and special. It was rather interesting. The Jotun remembered the song no matter how long it had been since he had last heard it. It was a special tune, one he would make sure to use if he really needed her.

Maleficent listened to her son's comment as if he was blaming himself. Just like how he used to be days before. Just by hearing him makes her fly up to his level and land on the branch he was on. "I hear you were told about the mermaids' song. Do you know it by heart?", she asked him. She hoped it would take his mind off of Eric. "If not, I can teach you", she offered as she kneeled down and stroked his cheek lovingly.

Loki heard the flapping of his mother's wings, knowing she had come to his level, but didnt look at her. He knew she would catch wind of that now problem about him learning the Mermaid's song. Offering to teach the song to him. He had to admit though. He knew the tune. That was all. If there were words, Loki would no know because Syrena only hummed the tune. Feeling the weight of the branch shift, a motherly hand on his cheek, the Jotun turned his head slightly in her direction. "I know the tune. Syrena hummed it all the time when we hung around each other. If there are words to it, I would not know them." He admitted to her truthfully. Turning his head to completely give his somewhat undivided attention to her, but leaned back against the tree.

Maleficent made a sigh as she heard Loki admit that he knew the mermaids' song, but only the humming of it. The song did have words, but since the mermaids don't speak in a common tongue of English, they don't tend to sing the song in words. The tune, 'My Jolly Sailor Bold', originated from a story that Maleficent used to tell Loki about the mermaid legend: A long time ago, a group of male Asgardian travelers sailed in a longboat, along with a lantern, to the shores of Tortuga. During the sail, they began to sing the song in words. Unknown to them, the song was so captivating, it seemed to have drawn the female creatures up from the deep. The mermaids entranced by coming close to them while they repeated the song, but in a hum, enchanting the men with their beauty. However, when one man got caught onto their enchantment by one female, all of them abandoned their gentle disguise, and attacked all the sailors viciously. It was then said that their attraction to man-made light, such as a lantern, and the song itself summoned them from the deep. Ever since then, the mermaids sang the song ever since, rarely in words.

The mermaids of the Nine Realms were fierce, and some-what benevolent protectors of its water boundaries. This means that if any traveler comes upon them, they can sense if that person is good or not. Usually when the newcomer is alone, only a single mermaid would approach them. They would captivate their target with their beauty and lure their faces underwater with their hands, where the mermaid proceeds to look them over. If the person is proven good, the mermaids will stay benevolent and spare them. However, if otherwise, part of their skin would turn into pearly white scales with long fangs forming in their mouths while their eyes glowed their natural color intensely before proceeding to pull them fully into the water, dragging them deep into the depths where they drown and dispose of them.

Maleficent kept her hand on Loki's cheek gently as he somewhat looked at her with undivided attention. "Remember this", she said before she began to sing in a melodic tune. It was slow, but harmonic.

"My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailor bold. Come all, ye pretty fair 'maids, whoever you may be. Who love a jolly sailor bold, that ploughs the raging sea. My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailor bold"

Loki listened to the words of the song that Maleficent sung to him, not surprised that his mother would know the words, he remembered the stories that she told him as a child, about the mermaids, what they were like, how the ones here helped the Moors. Once the song was over, Loki nodded. "I will remember." He told her. He though looked down to his lap.

Maleficent let go of his cheek before she saw the specks of light flying towards them. They were fairies! She stood up abruptly. "What is it? What's happened?", she asked them immediately as they flew to her. "It's Akasha!", one of them answers. "The grand seeress wishes to speak with you", the other said to her quickly. "And we shall answer", Maleficent told them before turning to Loki. "My son, come. Stay close", she tells him softly before spreading her wings and flying down the tree, landing on the ground below.

Loki looked up as the shifting of the branch, Maleficent getting up as some specks of light coming over, only to find out that they were fairies. Looking over to Maleficent, he had never heard of anyone named Akasha before, a seeress. Looking to Fairy to his mother, she nodded to what she said and started climbing down the hometree and land on the gorund, ready to follow Maleficent when she was ready.

Maleficent turned and began walking away from the Hometree. It was better at this time to walk instead of fly, because since Loki didn't know the way to Akasha, Maleficent didn't want to leave him in the dark, literally. It would be best for them both to stay together for this trip. It wasn't too long until it grew a little dark out as Maleficent walked through the forest, except this time, there wasn't much to the surroundings now. There were only lighted specks flying around instead of creatures everywhere where Loki used to hang out. "You may be wondering who Akasha is. She's a friend. She only has seen you when you were baby", the fairy began to explain to him if he was wondering. "Akasha is a seeress. A powerful young woman, but do not judge her abilities. She is very...uncanny", she added before a hut began to show in the distance. "But stay close", Maleficent finished as she waited for him to comply.

Following Maleficent, Loki stayed close to his mother noticing changes that he wasnt use to. Specks of lights and no creatures around. He wondered how he didnt know about this. But then again, he guessed that this is the place of the Moor's that his mother told him not to go. He looked around, made sure to be careful, even making sure that he was still close to her. Hearing her talk about why Loki might want to know who Akasha is, then telling him, what he needed to know he guessed. Noticing the hut and hearing Maleficent's warning, Loki didn't need her to say it twice. Nodded as he kept his eyes set on the hut. "Of course."

Maleficent walked on before she was at the door of the hut. Opening cautiously, there was an African American woman sitting at her table looking at what looks like crab claws. As she heard someone enter, she looked up from her reading. "Dearest Maleficent", she drawled with a smile, which meant surprise. "Akasha", Maleficent responded with a small smile. "I hoped you would blow back to me one day", Akasha said as she stood from her seat. "T'is is a grand pleasure to reconcile", she continued.

Loki walked close to Maleficent and her opening the door, Loki noticed the African American woman that was sitting at a table. Hearing their grettings, Loki looked around Maleficent to see the Seeress more clearly and know that Maleficent did not come alone. However did not peek around like he was a little child. He came over and over close but to where the young woman would be able to see him. "Greetings." He greeted with a bow of his head.

Akasha made a chuckle before she set her eyes on Loki, hearing his greeting. "You", she stilled in bewilderment and pointed at him. It wasn't an accusing point, but a wise point. She began to walk towards him slowly as she kept this position. "You have a touch of destiny about you. Young Loki", she said slowly in her wise, but thick accented voice. "You called for us, Akasha", Maleficent spoke up, just to make sure Loki doesn't get too uncomfortable around the seeress. She may be a bit odd, but she never fails Maleficent when it comes to her foreseeing powers. "Said it was important?", the fairy added. "I did. Come!", Akasha answered before turning away from Loki and walking back to her table. "Come", Maleficent said softly to the Jotun as she gave him a signal to follow with her hand. The fairy stopped and sat in the chair before the table as Akasha sat on the other side in her own. "I saw some'ting as I sensed your grief. Some'ting impossible. Some'ting t'at shows t'at he is indeed alive", Akasha spoke slowly to Maleficent before her gaze went to Loki as he stood next to his mother. "He lives...", she said to Loki.

Loki looked to Akasha with a confused look, though noticed that she didn't seem to hate him or have any ill will towards him, Loki didn't understand what he meant about him having a touch of destiny about himself. It wasn't the fact that he was uncomfortable, but just didn't know what to think about what he had just heard. With a questionable, standing by his mother as she sat down across from the Seeress, the Jotun looked around the hut, not moving, just looking. When Akasha spoke, Loki turned his head giving her his undivided attention. He noticed right away that she was talking to him for as far as he knew, was the only suffering from grief. But he didn't know about something impossible. Only till he knew what he knew then how this 'something' was impossible. His eyes widened in disbelief. "Eric...Alive...?" He seemed to feel his heart lift, but then sink as he shook his head. "It cannot be, he was killed back in Asgard when those Dark Elves attacked the kingdom. Word had spread about his death." Loki spoke out, his heart unsure what was true in the first place now. He looked away, his arms folded and crossed over his chest, almost as if hugging himself. "How can it be so...?"

Akasha kept her gaze on Loki as she heard his response. She couldn't help but give a light chuckle before straightening herself. "T'ee young Loki wonders", she said slowly as she observed him. She leaned forward a little bit in her seat. "A man, wit' a brave heart. A soul wit' strength", she said while raising her voice a little. "He never stopped loving you", she shook her head as she said this, softly. "Determined to bring back hope. Light", Akasha said the last word with a raised voice. "Witty Eric, is closer t'an you t'ink", she said slowly before she leaned back again.

Looking to the Seeress, the Jotun heard her but didnt understand who she was referring to exactly. he took the guess of whom she was speaking of was Eric. But he knew that Eric didnt stop loving him. Loki never stopped loving Eric. Loki swifted his stance, having stood like that for a little longer than he had expected. Hearing her say that Eric was closer than he thought. the one thing was, where could he possibly be? "Where is he that he could possibly be closer than I think?" He asked her.
