In Basin you have respectable citizens, nobility, politicians, soldiers, children. And of course their opposites. The Green District in Basin, located by the Southwestern wall, houses all manner of scum bags and scoundrels ranging from fugitives to black market dealers to bounty hunters. They are discreet, so as not to bring down the wrath of the Marshalls, but currently business is booming. After all, war is a profitable enterprise.
And war is indeed brewing not only between Basin and Oasis, but tensions with the exiles are escalating and the threat of a rebellion is overwhelming. So naturally the Black Market is on the rise. Once abundant resources, such as fruits, meats, fuel, and weapons, are now under close scrutiny and are being rationed by the current Ruling Family in Basin. Which makes them all the more valuable.
So! When a well known dealer called Bidder puts out the call for a crew with the promise of a high paying score, all manner of GD residents come clamoring to his door. Including ours.
