Hello all! How are you doing today? I'm glad that you've come to visit my thread, and I'm here to inform you that I have two different versions of this RP in mind. The first version is simple, your character has something happen to them, and makes a deal with my character. The second version, however, is a bit more interesting. The details about where and when it takes place are all up to you!
You can talk to me here on the thread, or PM me with the title being which of the two you want to do.
Your wish is my command
NOTE: I already have two versions of this going, so unless you can pitch a great character and setting, this one is off the table.
In one short moment, your whole life has turned to nothing. Your mother is nothing but ashes, and your father, without a doubt, suffered the same fate from trying to rescue her. You can't bear to look back at the orange and amber disaster that lay behind you, but the scent of smoke and warmth of the flame is still present, even this far away. However, you do stop to catch your breath. No matter how much you try, you don't look back. You scream out to the world, the emotions of fear, rage and sadness overwhelming your body. Your body is weak, tired, and aching to fall down, but you try to continue on anyway. The further the move, the more difficult it is to place your foot in front of the other, and eventually you succumb to gravity.
You fall, hitting the ground with a soft thud. Your breath his heavy, and the cold of the winter night starts making its presence known. You didn't feel it at all near your house set ablaze, and the snow had yet to fall so early in the season. You yell at your own body, hate flowing through your veins. The world around you shifts from the warm tones of the flames to a black that could only be utilized by the void itself. In your last moments of consciousness, you make a wish.
When you wake, the word will be pure white. Your eyes will not be forced to adjust, however, and you notice that you are not laying on the ground, or standing, even.
Before you lays a path in carved stone. It starts out only just wider than yourself, but spreads out to a great distance. As your eyes follow the short path, your eyes rest on the only other being in whatever realm you're in.
The snake was of titanic proportions, it's scales a pitch black and seemed to reflect darkness itself. They remind you of the cold black you felt before going unconscious. With it's closed eyes and coiled body, you figure that it's sleeping. With nowhere else to go, you take a step forward, no matter how long it takes or how hesitant you were.
The very moment your foot touches the stone path, it's eyes snap open to reveal it's stilled pupils, surrounded by a vile yellow color in the iris. It raises it's head slowly, making itself even taller than it was before.
"Why, are you here?"
A voice echoes throughout the white emptiness, slow and curious. The mouth of the snake did not move, but it is the only other thing with you in this space. You answer it, and after being coerced by the snake to tell you what had happened, it asks you another question.
"Do you want to find the people who did this? To make them feel pain... and SUFFER as you did?"
It's voice became excited at the thought, the pace and tone of of each word changing and emphasizing on the word suffer. Your parents and the people who killed them are the only things on your mind. You nod your head, and the snake's mouth opens, laughing in sync with the voice. It was a scary sight, to see a snake's mouth twist and bend in such a wicked way, laughing and emoting with sick delight.
The snake mouth approaches you, and stops only a number of feet away from you before laying it's head on the ground. The top part of the mouth opens, swinging back to touch the rest of the body to expose the fangs on the jaw, as well as the tongue and venom glands of the sname. All the while, each snapping muscle could be heard the further the head went, and when it stopped, the tongue began to move. It rose vertically, becoming just as black as it's scales before revealing two white dots.
The tongue began to morph itself into a human in a suit. Up until the knees, it looked like a person, but beyond that point, the black faded and was replaced with the sickly pink innards that the snake was colored in. It's organic and beating appearance still moving, as if the human figure was independent from the rest of the snake.
"Select your the placement of your mark. It will seal the deal between the two of us, and I shall obey your wishes up until we find the arsonists. After then, your parents will find peace, and your soul will be mine."
With time, you select the placement of your mark, and the suited man, if he could be called even that, leans forward and places his hand there. It burns with a heat like no other. No matter how much you scream or try and get away, your body is frozen, and the pain becomes too much for you to bear. Unlike the first time, when the blackness clouded your vision before you escaped reality, the word flashes black, and the only thing you can hear is the manic laughter of the snake demon that you just made a deal with.
The cold wakes you up, and as you look around, you see the first snowfall of the year around. You feel your body being picked up and carried, and as you look up, you see the same face of the man that you saw when you made the deal. It can't have been a dream, you know that much.
As he notices you being awake, he looked down at you in his arms. His very gaze triggers the echo of his laugh to go off in your mind. A smile forms on his face as he utters his first words in the human realm.
"Let's go home."
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
Do not leave them. Do not betray them. No matter what.
Since the unfortunate death of your parents some weeks ago, it has been near impossible for you to carry on and carry out their duties. Your find yourself unable to sleep or eat, and spend most of your time looking at their work, or looking at their pictures about the house.
A knock on the other side of the door brings you back to reality, and you allow whoever it outside the office to come in. You see that it is the family's butler with a tray of food. You give him a look, but he only smiles and sets the tray down on the desk.
"I know you've refused to eat more than the basest of requirements, but you must eat." He says to you. He was right though, whatever his name was. You never really did get his name in all the years you knew him, and whenever you asked, he would only reply with the exact same words, in the exact same way.
"Whatever you wish to call me will be my name."
You've known the butler all your life, yet he didn't seem to age a day. Apparently, after a scrape with danger when you were but an infant, your parents decided to get a butler.
However, you did not know that his form of payment at the end of his job were the very souls of your parents.
You can talk to me here on the thread, or PM me with the title being which of the two you want to do.
