Yugi was trying to think of something then looking at the markings he said "Yami...those markings....they looked like a trap card doesn't it?" He went to reach for their decks, hoping one of them had the card he was thinking of. "I know I've seen it before"

Yami looked to the marking's closely when Yugi pointed out that they looked like a trap card. He looked confused though. "A trap card? But how? How could that happen?" It was very strange. "Well maybe we can pull a card to counter the trap, somehow remove it."

Yugi was flipping thru his deck and said "here it is. Mark of the cursed. It curses any monster and in five turns that monster is destroyed..." He looked at Serena and said "when the invader had her by the throat...she must have used that trap card on her...when she didn't have her pendent on...Yami" Serena was shaking badly, tears running down her face.

Yami had an idea what needed a spell card to get rid of the trap card placed on Serena. So now that he knew about it he needed to figure out if it would work. Looking over to Serena, he felt this worry in the pit of his stomach. But they needed to try right? "I should the Remove Trap, spell card in my deck." He searched through his card and pulled it out. The pharaoh looked to the mark before he faced the card toward her. "Remove the Trap." He commanded.

The mark glowed brightly and shattered, Serena waking up and gasping, siting up and shaking badly. "Yugi...Yami...I have to..." She swayed and Yugi said "Serena, it's alright, your safe..." Serena looked at Yami, her eyes looking panicked. She was still in need of rest, but her fever had broken now.

Seeing the mark go away, Yami watched Serena wake up and trying to sit up and see her sway. Yami rested on arm on her shoulder. "Get some rest Serena." A comforting smile placed on his lips. Seemed to be relieved as well.

Serena looked at him, breathing hard. "Yami...what...what happened.." Yugi smiled and said "it's alright Serena, your safe now" Serena looked at Yami and said "how did...what happened outside..." She swayed again, feeling dizzy again

The Pharaoh was confused at first when she asked what happen. He didn't understand what exactly what she was talking about as to what happen. Only for her later to be a little more specific. Yami answered. "I don't know. Joey went looking for you when you went to the backyard. But you seemed to be running a fever. I think we should talk more later. You need sleep and you are still out of it."

Yugi got up, getting a fresh pillow for her. Serena looked at Yami, her head resting against his shoulder and said weakly "your little prince...I should have...seen it before...I..." She blinked hard, getting tired again

Yami sat sat up on the couch with her in hopes to somehow calm her down, only for her to rest her head on his shoulder. Yami could not help but blush, but looked back to her sort of when she spoke weakly. Wrapping an arm around her, Yami rubbed her shoulder softly, a gesture he would use when Yugi had bad dreams and those were rare. But she was tired so this was just something he thought would work for her to sleep. "Shhhh...just rest Serena," Yami spoke softly. "We will talk more in the morning." He waited patiently for Yugi's hoping he could ease away when Yugi came back with the pillow. Though tried not to ruin this moment for her, concerned him for as far as he knew, had no experience in a situation such as girls in general. At about this. Though thanks to her being tired. Yami was starting to feel a bit tired now. He cursed in his head, a small suppressed yawn escaping him.

Yugi came back, pillow in hand. He smiled and said "Maybe I should leave you two alone..." Serena opened her eyes slightly again and said "I'm sorry...I couldn't protect him...like I promised...I failed again..." She closed her eyes and Yugi said "Again?" He handed Yami the pillow, looking concerned

Yami looked toward Yugi when he came back, feeling some ease though was not particularly happy with Yugi wanting to leave them alone. Though his attention went from Yugi to Serena when she spoke up. Again? Promised to protect and failed? Who? Him? Yugi? Who did she make this promise to? Taking the pillow, the Pharaoh was thinking about what Serena was talking about. Removing the other pillow, Yami placed the fresh one where the other was and slowly moved, helping support Serena's head and body the best he could before carefully letting her head touch the pillow. If she made no objections that is. He would also cover her up. "It is alright." He told her with the hopes of reassuring her.

Serena smiled tiredly and closed her eyes saying "You are always kind, my prince...I never deserved your kindness..." Soon she was fast asleep, her chest falling gently. Yugi looked at Yami and said "She used your title...she hasn't done that before. What is going on?"

Yami noticed too that she was using his former title. At least before he had become the pharaoh in the past. Having noticed that Yugi too noticed. Yami made sure she was going to be fine, he faced Yugi and shrugged. He wasn't going to know why. He guessed though that she was just utterly exhausted. Which she was. Yami picked up the cold bowl and rags, heading into the kitchen to let them dry and gently pour the ice into the sink. However he did pull out a glass and filled it with water before returning and setting it aside where he knew she would find it and not get possibly knocked over. "I will meet you upstairs. I am going to wake Tea real quick." He told him before heading to Tea and shook her shoulder gently. "Tea?"

Tea was asleep in the other room on the floor by the fireplace, looking peaceful. She stirred and she opened her eyes, looking up at him. "Yami? Is everything alright? Is it my turn?"

Yugi nodded and headed up stairs, feeling tired. He sat down on his bed, changing into pjs and sighing, resting his head against the wall. Then he got up and went to the window, sitting by it and smiling softly. He was still worried, but he felt better that not only Serena was going to be alright, but that even in his lowest moment, his friends always had his back. He closed his eyes and soon was fast asleep, his head against the window.

The pharaoh waited till she was awake enough to tell her what happen of which did not seem to take that long. He nodded. "She is alright. Her fever broke recently and sleeping peacefully. If you wish to stay up with her anyway, that is fine. But I believe she will be fine once she has rested. I am heading to bed." Yami told her, a soft smile on his face, standing up and heading upstairs and into his own room. Yami opened the door to see his partner at the window and asleep. He could only smile at the side before him. Walking over to Yugi, picking him up with a little difficulty but not by much. He walked over to Yugi's bed and as gently as he could, placed the young teen on the bed before covering him up as well. After that venture, the pharaoh get changing into his own pajamas before heading to bed as well.

The next morning Tea was making breakfast with Adam's help, who had fallen asleep at the computer and felt bad for not helping with Serena. Serena was still fast asleep on the couch, looking at lot better then she had the night before. Up in the bedroom, Yugi was turning in his sleep, muttering softly.

He was standing in a huge ruin, a alter in the middle. Yami was fighting against two hooded figures that were trying to bind him him to table. There were other hooded figures lining the walls, chanting in a low tone. Yami was trying to break the chains that bond him as huge red eyes appeared above him and laughed darkly. "Your Shadow can not save you now, Pharaoh...nothing will spare you this time around..." Yugi tried to move but couldn't, the Nameless God laughing darkly as the alter glowed red and Yami cried out in pain.

Yugi gasped in his sleep, sweat running down his face. "Yami...no...Serena where are you...we have...help him..."

Joey woke up with a stretch while on his back like a cat of sorts, feeling a little tired still. But was up, got some clothes from his bag and went to get changed. Seto was still sleeping and near Mokuba. Not a morning person and never really have been but would get up when the spell of sleep started to lift. Tristen was up with Tea and Adam, having tried the best be could to help with breakfast but started up some coffee and tea.

Yami felt sleep lift from his mind and eyes, however heard the nearby rustling of a bed sheet and blanket. He tried to figure out where it was coming from. Slowly opening his eyes and adjusting to the light that naturally came into the room. He really didn't want to get out of bed, rather wanted to stay in bed. Though remembered that he had much to do. Hearing what sounded like Yugi, Yami rolled over to when he was on his side and lifted himself up a little before looking in Yugi's direction. "Yugi? What's the matter?" He asked, getting up from bed to check on the young look alike. He sat on the edge of the bed and rested a hand to Yugi's shoulder. "Yugi? Yugi wake up." It was a bad dream and Yami could sense it.

Yugi shot up, breathing hard as he looked around. Then he saw Yami and sighed, holding his face in his hands. "Just a nightmare...thank goodness..." He rubbed his eyes and said "Sorry I woke you...that dream was..." He shuttered, closing his eyes again. "Those big red eyes...that laugh..."

Mokuba yawned and rubbed his eyes, looking around and saw Seto asleep. He smiled and didn't move, not wanting to wake his older brother. He pulled the blanket up rather so it would cover the duelist.

Serena stirred slightly as Joey was walking out of the bathroom, trying to open her eyes.

Yami could only smile when Yugi apologized. Though turned to a frown only when he talked about the nameless god. He scooted on the bed more into it and rubbed Yugi's back. "Its alright Yugi. Just a bad dream. The red eyed god is one of the subjects I was going to ask Malik and Ishizu about today. Which I should expecting a call from soon." Yami told him, sitting there with Yugi till he no longer needed comfort.

Seto looked peaceful as he slept, hadn't budged when Mokuba pulled the blanket up. Though moved a little later only to stir. It looked like there was a debate in his mind if he wanted to wake up or not.

Joey felt a bit refreshed now that he was in clean clothes and all. He noticed Serena stirring from sleep it seemed and left her be. He put his dirty clothes away and went to go get something from the kitchen to drink. Duke was in the backyard since he got up. He was sitting next to the tree staring at the necklace around his neck that appeared on his the time he met Khnum and then vanish. He still didn't understand why really.
