Quick Pose:A fool and a God

The god walks up to the wounded warrior
"You know" he says waving the blades in the warriors chest out of existence like the smoke of a candle "I've never had a mortal so ready to simply deify me that they would get themselves killed to do it"
"Yes well" The old warrior croaked "Fear death as the 'Great Unknown' becomes a little redundant when you know a god who's personally playing around with you life for kicks *HAck HaCK*" The old man coughs blood out of his mouth before continuing. "Sort of spoils the whole mystery of the thing."
The god chuckles.
"Still, it is rather interesting." The god muses "A man so petty that he would die simply to refuse a god? You really could have just sacrificed a goat you know, or done some quick hand gestures to the sky and I would have moved on to some boy playing around with some sticks."
The old man grinned "Some gestures, please. That would have just been rude ain't nobody want that. The dying to deify you plan," he nods "was better."
"Indeed" the god grins too "However I simply can't let that happen now can I?" The pain and general stabbing feeling in the old warrior chest starts disappearing and a knew strength tickles up from his feet to the tip of his beard. "It is far to interesting to let go to waste, a mortal that defies me just for the sake of it, why I simply must see what you do next."
"Oh really" The warrior gets up with a smile and turns to walk to the village "Well I quite doubt you're siblings are going to like it."

Just had this sequence pop into my head between a god and a old man who goes so far as to get himself killed simply to refuse the god. Finding this mortal who so regularly defies him with such vigour interesting the god grants the man immortally so he can see what he does with it.

Continued:A fool and a God 001
Thrum wandered back, through the village gates, largely ignoring the immaculate stares on his current neighbours faces as he strode by, only pausing to causally kick the horse keepers dung bucket as he went by. That man reminded him to much of the horses he served, and Thrum wasn't all to keen on horses either. He turned into the Mermaid's tavern and noted the hush of voices as he walked in, turning only to grin and jump slightly towards the young lads sitting by the door. WIth the sound of a clatter and a thud behind him he goes to the stairs and up to his room. The old maiden was up the stairs sweeping the floor and was the first to only give him a vague look before returning to her duties, seeing more sense in it than staring at a resurrected old man, probably did something bad to your eyes.
