Appearance:
Anubis is a slender female that usually enjoys wearing a long hooded cloak with ears stitched into the top in order to make it appear she has canine features with the same being said about her gloves to help make them appear somewhat like animal paws. To add to this the rest of her outfit consists of a knee length dress and flat sandals. Her hair is also a pure white and her eyes glow with a bright yellow hue.

When transformed into her animal form, Anubis has the appearance of an overly large wolf with black and white markings covering most of her body. The black marks were a trait that was left by Death's interactions when she was saved from her own fate. Her height when on all four paws is roughly a metre and a half tall with a tail that is long enough to easily drag on the ground.

Soul Colour & Traits:
Spring Green - Anubis' Soul has a large Ankh that covers the front of her Soul. When transformed her Soul will sprout a set of Wolf ears on either side.

Abilities:
  • Werewolf: Anubis has the unique ability to change from Werewolf to Human, and vice versa, at will. While in Werewolf form her soul will expand to about 3 times it's usual size, indicating that her speed and strength have increased beyond their typical limits.
  • Strengthened Bite: Anubis' bite is much stronger than that of a typical werewolf. Her teeth are sharp enough that they are able to pierce into metal and even snap it in half on the rare occasion.
  • Flash Leap: While engaged in combat, Anubis has the ability to Flash Leap from one position to another within the blink of an eye. She is able to perform this both in human and werewolf form, but the amount of times she can do it will differ between the two.
  • Resistance: The God of Death fragment that was left inside her soul has given her body a decent amount of resistance to most attacks and even some toxins. While not immortal, she can suffer some quite damaging blows and recover from them over time.
  • Combat Trained: Training for a few hundred years does give you the upper hand in many fights when compared to many other fighters. This includes many conventional weapons like staffs, twin blades and swords.
  • Almost Afterlife: In the event that Anubis suffers a serious injury, she is able to feign her own death and place herself into an unconscious state. During this time she is quite vulnerable but her wounds will heal at a much faster pace, allowing her to awaken with a renewed energy.
  • Death Claws: While in Werewolf form, Anubis is able to throw the back markings off her body and convert them into a pair of Death Claws similar to that of Death, and his son Death the Kid. These were an ability that Anubis gained through the soul fragment that was left in her body.

Weaknesses:
Most of Anubis' weaknesses lie in her stamina, which includes her ability to remain in her werewolf form for an extended amount of time. This also includes her Almost Afterlife ability, where she isn't only able to perform it once per fight, and her Death Claws, where after a few uses she will be unable to reproduce them until she has had time to fully recover.

When it comes to werewolf immortality, Anubis unfortunately doesn't share the same trait as many other Werewolves. This was an unfortunate side effect bought on from Death's involvement. She does have the extended life, but a stab to the heart or heavy head trauma will end her life.

Her Soul Perception ability is rather lack lustre with only the ability to sense the soul of another. She is unable to tell the type nor the true strength, and thus can sometimes engage in a fight without fully understanding the strength of the opponent.

She also has a weakness for adorable looking puppies, something that she never had until her transformation into a werewolf.

Brief History:
Anubis, a woman who has now forgotten her original birth name, can almost be classified as a distant cousin to Death the Kid based on the experiences that she had several hundred years ago with his father, Death himself, and how he once saved her life from certain death.

Anubis grew up in a small Egyptian village as the daughter of a local Weapon Meister. During the evenings her father would teach her about the various creatures and monsters in the world and the role that Death and the Death Weapons played in keeping these dangers at bay, while during the day her father would venture off to participate in the missions that Death required, defeating monsters and the occasional witch that would happen to enter into a human populated area and cause strife. Unfortunately it was on one of these missions that his desire to help others would leave his family in the most vulnerable state possible.

A werewolf on the prowl entered the village with a hunger for blood and happily slaughtered it's way through the people. When Anubis' father returned that afternoon he found everyone had been murdered with the exception of his daughter that was fighting for dear life. Unable to find the monster that did this horrible act and worried about the survival of her daughter he rushed Anubis off to Death City in order to see if there was anything that the Lord of Death could do to save his daughter.

Upon seeing the man's daughter Death performed an act that had the chance to save her, even if she would live with an endless curse. Death used a fragment of his own soul to help keep her alive, and thus giving her the yellow eyes and a much longer than expected lifespan, the downfall though was that the werewolf bite awoken on her body and completed it's transformation, converting Anubis into a Werewolf with minor God of Death abilities.

Being eternally thankful to Death for his generosity, the girl took up the name of Anubis as a symbolism name which refers back to her Werewolf origins and how she cheated death through the help of a God. To help pay back her saviour, Anubis helped Death to start up AID and as the centuries progressed, she became more and more passionate about her role and how she could use it to protect others around the world.

Allocated Contract:
Being the founder of AID, Anubis doesn't really receive any contracts unless they are of a high and urgent priority from Death himself. Because of this 'freedom' she is quite happy to help out on some of the contracted tasks or stick around the DWMA and Death City.

Name: Abel Ashira

Appearance:

Abel is about six feet tall with a lean build, and skin so pale that isn't almost sickly. He has long, pale blonde, hair that he likes to wear in a variety of styles, depending on his mood. His eyes are a mysterious, deep blue that almost exactly match with his soul. He has long, graceful, limbs as well as fingers, and his facial features are much more pointed than they are round. His signature outfit, or battle uniform as he likes to call it, consists of his favorite long black coat, a pair of dark purple skinny jeans, shin high black boots with laces down the front and a cleverly hidden zipper so he doesn't have to deal with the laces, and a provocative dark gray tee-shirt that has the phrase 'Tie Me Up' written on it. Both ears are pierced and he is always wearing various colored butterfly studs in them. A pair of wire rim glasses sit on his face, though people don't know if it's for show or because he actually needs them.

Race/Species: Human with a Strong Soul

Soul Colour & Traits: Steel Blue. Wrapping around his soul is what appears to be chains.

Personal Weapon: Abel uses dual chains, which measure from ground to nose if one was to hold them up to Abel. They are attached to brown leather shackles that he wears around each wrist. Attached at the end of each chain is a metal dart that's about three inches long. When he isn't using them, the chains wrap around his arms with the darts tucked safely into a sheath like pouch on each shackle. Or if he's feeling extra frisky, he'll wrap the chains around someone else. He can use either one or both of the chains, and they can easily double as a pseudo hookshot in a pinch.

Abilities: Strong Soul, as a human with a Strong Soul, Abel's soul is worth 99 normal human souls. This has it's drawbacks of course, but it also has it's strengths. It has made him a much stronger person, and his mind is so sound that people will it difficult to mess with it. His soul's wavelengths are also very powerful, though in matching with his personality they're also extremely stubborn. Most people will find it hard to match their wavelengths to his.

Strength: Due to wielding, and wearing, heavy chains all the time, Abel possesses a lot of upper body strength. He's been known to use this to do incredibly feats before, such as hanging from his arms for very long periods of time, keeping something much larger than him trapped with his chains, or just simply punching like a truck.

Movement: Abel has almost inhuman amounts of grace, balance, and coordination, you won't find him crashing into things or tripping over his own feet. Though he swings around dual chain whips all the time, he rarely hits anything other than what he wants to hit, than includes himself and any allies he may have. His near perfect balance allows him to walk around on small ledges without having to worry about falling off. You can see his grace in just about everything he does. It adds a little extra flair to what otherwise could be quite a boring task.

Parkour/Free-Running: What is only added onto by his skill in movement, Abel is also trained in the art of parkour and free-running. He is able to climb up buildings, cliffs, ledges, etc, with relative easy. He finds it much easier than most to run across rooftops or other dangerous areas to run. He isn't good enough at it to add in tricks and flips, but he's good enough to run around assassin's style.

Pain: Abel is borderline masochistic, while he doesn't get off on pain, he accepts it and can withstand more of it than the average person. This can also be considered a weakness because he also hides his pain from other people, thinking he can handle blood loss and damage just as much as the pain itself.

Weaknesses: Legally Blind, nobody actually knows if Abel needs glasses or not. Because of his unnaturally good grace and balance, he doesn't seem to be any different if he takes them off. But he is in fact legally blind, meaning that when he takes off his glasses, all he can see are blurry shapes. Making it impossible to engage in long range combat, and making short range stuff a lot more difficult. If people were to watch him battle without his glasses on, it would make it very obviously that he actually needed them. Going without his glasses for too long gives him a headache and makes his eyes hurt.

Pervert: Abel is a very provocative person. He makes his interest in both men and women very well known. Though you won't find him sneaking into locker rooms to catch a peek, if you show it, even by accident, he'll enjoy the show. Sometimes he'll use his chains to wrap somebody and tease them, but unless they're of age you won't find him doing anything more than that. His perverted attitude tends to scare people away from him, and he finds it difficult to find allies let alone friends.

Pain: As stated above, his understanding of pain is both a strength and a weakness. Because of his ability to withstand more pain than the average person, he hides his injuries, thinking he can withstand blood loss and damage as much as the pain itself. He would horribly wrong of course.

Defense: Abel's weapons are made for attacking, not defending, giving him very little in the way of defensive moves. He's stuck with just avoiding and dodging attacks, or simply taking them. The chains can be used to hook an enemy or wrap up their weapon, but that's about it for defensive abilities.

Brief History: Abel was born in a very small village, one that was peaceful and usually free from witches, Keishan, and the like. He lived a boring, but peaceful, life up until the time that he was eight years old. That was when a passerby who happened to be able to see souls informed the village that Abel's soul was much stronger than a normal persons. Fearing both him, and his safety, the village elders locked him up in the basement of one of their houses, chaining him to the wall 'for his own good'. He was locked up, the only human contact he got was them feeding him once a day. The damp conditions of the basement weren't good on the chains though, and it only took a few years for them to rust enough for a now thirteen year old to pull them off the wall. He escaped in the night, not bothering to remove the chains any further, cause he really couldn't.

A bigger, smarter, nearby village found him in the morning and assumed from his appearance that he was some kind of escaped slave. They took him in and helped him recover from his ordeal. But were quickly turned off by his near obsession with chains and his disregard for personal space. Two traits which would only grow as he got older. He only spent six months in the village before moving on.

Slowly as the years went by he developed his fighting style and reputation for hunting down whoever and whatever needed taken out. Until finally about a year ago, he found himself in Death City. And shortly after that, he was approached and asked to join AID. He was reluctant and first, but eventually ended up accepting.

Allocated Contract: Abel is best at hunting things down and killing them, not so much at keeping things alive. So he's usually sent out on Keishan or Witch hunts. His current job is a Witch hunt in France. Not much is known about this Witch, but her animal is supposedly something poisonous. Though he won't be actively seeking help, if somebody wants to join him, he wouldn't be opposed.

Nadia Ylwizaker

Appearance:
Spritzy, brash, and overconfident; Nadia’s personality traits reflect her appearance in one way or another. Bearing her father’s crimson hair, she arranges it in the form of a crude ponytail locked with whatever she can find at the time— which includes bows, string, bands, and on one occasion a torn piece of cloth. Her hair is rarely undone and when it is it drops down fairly far beyond her back, but is not so long she can trip over it with her feet. Nadia prefers loose clothing for comfortability as well as mobility but always tends to have a schoolgirl’s sweater jacket on her person whether she is wearing it correctly or not. Her eyes are a shade of brown, and her expressions tend to be cocky and self-indulged. She tops out at around five foot three and has an athletic build.

Race/Species: Meister
Soul Colour & Traits: Sienna - Seems to be weighed down by an anchor as it flutters in energy.
Abilities:
  • Meister: “Meisters are warriors who fight and battle using the weapon forms of Demon Weapons, people who're able to transform into traditional weapons.” — Much like many at the DWMA, Nadia is a Meister; the leading half of a Meister/Weapon pairing. This leads to skills that come under the umbrella of the role.
  • Combat Trained: Lan Olzon trained Nadia constantly as a favor to her friend during the time she raised her. This included rigorous perception training, conventional weapon awareness, and physical conditioning. This however did not include any distinct level of advanced martial arts training, so as such Nadia lacks much more than resilience, athletics, brawn, and awareness.
  • Soul Perception: Nadia is skilled enough in perception of the soul to sort out the “noise” that lies as a challenging buffer for identification purposes. She however does have difficulties beyond intermediate levels of the ability.
  • Soul Resonance: A rare ability, but one that Nadia has the potential for as with all Meisters. When synchronized perfectly with her Demon Weapon pairing she can utilize sort of “true” soul abilities that are immensely powerful. It is hard to say if it is reminiscent of her father’s Soul Resonance ability due to the fact he never synchronized on such a level with his Demon Weapon partner.
    • Arisia Königin: When synchronized Nadia and Arisia create the Soul Resonance abilities that fall under the “Gun-type” category (despite being a Bow & Arrow foundation). The only one known to them is called Danmaku, a barrage category technique that uses the supercharged ability from a synchronization to spread the soul energy into a complex “machine gun” sort of volley.

Weaknesses:
A lot of Nadia’s weaknesses fall under her general personality, a fact that she has either failed to realize or care about. It would take much self-awareness and guidance for Nadia to break her frequency to emit arrogance, brash behavior, antagonistic playfulness, lack of care towards others opinions, her “act first, think later” methods, and temperament.

Beyond her personality, intellectually Nadia is lacking— a fact that is apparent on the exams despite her tenacity and cohesive understanding. She is ranked in moderate levels in academics and rarely applies herself due to her own apathy or spite towards her instructors for comparing her to her father.

Physically speaking, Nadia is generally the least flawed but is far from perfect. She is nimble and can endure a lot of damage, but lacks precision and focus preferring to blindly attack over elaborate planning. She has little advanced martial arts training and her acrobatics are only slightly above par for a typically ranged Meister. Her stamina varies depending on how much energy she chooses to exert both physically and mentally as well.

Brief History:
The result of the union between Ivran Ylwizaker and an unknown woman, Nadia Ylwizaker was raised for the majority of her childhood not by her father but by his comrade, Lan Olzon. This was because of the fact that Ivran had supposedly gone missing on a contract along with his partner, the Demon Weapon known as Hokori. This created a darkness above Nadia as she began her interest in Meisters and Demon Weapons as a sort of idolization from the stories she had been told by her guardian. Though Lan did not paint false pictures of Ivran Ylwizaker for his daughter, Nadia still found a passion ignited within her at the stories of her father’s earnest dedication to protecting others despite a reputation that painted him weak and unskilled— the reputation of “the worst Meister in recent memory”. A reputation Nadia would later learn to be a constant obstacle for herself.

By the age of eight years old Nadia’s passion turned into an annoyance for Lan; Nadia beginning to badger her guardian about training her to be ‘just as awesome’ as her father and ‘as cool’ as Lan herself. The flattery may have been the first step to Nadia’s aspirations; though the journey itself would be rough and meticulous due to Lan’s rigid perception of skills a Meister should be expected to have before they entered the DWMA due to Lan’s own status as a child prodigy in the past. Somehow, Nadia took to it despite the difficulties in front of her— the life of a Meister was all she dreamed for. A dream that was as idealistic and naive as it came… though perhaps it was because of that passion that hardened her for what was to come.

Upon entry to the DWMA at age thirteen, the truth of people’s perception of her father really hit Nadia— but what began to grind into the young girl wasn’t the whispers of her father’s skill alone but also the reputation that came to have her judged by proxy. “The Daughter of the Worst Meister”, a titular nickname that would drive Nadia to obnoxious levels of distaste; for whatever Nadia could do it always seemed to her to be dismissed in a condescending comparison to her father’s infamous level of skill and talent. A reputation that would twist Nadia from her innocent passion and forge her into a defiant troublemaker with a zeal that matched other problem students at the DWMA. Upon passing through the NOT program and pairing with Arisia Königin Nadia’s behavior only continued in this fashion for many more years.

Nadia & Arisia became an odd pair indeed as they took upon the contracts given to them through the DWMA as Nadia looked to prove herself and Arisia served as a buffer to temper her partner’s erratic personality. The quest to defeat and absorb corrupted souls (and eventually the goal to defeat a Witch) was hardly a simple task and one that would take the pairing through many challenges and obstacles. Though in the end, they stood as some of the younger pairs to complete graduation with the soul of Witch in hand. Upon that graduation the eyes of another organization came upon them called AID...

Appearance:
Intellectual, poised, and focused; Arisia’s personality traits reflect her appearance in one way or another. Birthed with colorful purple hair, Arisia’s appearance seems prim and proper to a fine point— her long hair groomed and meticulously arranged no matter the hairstyle she chooses. Generally her hair is often undone, falling down her back and to her waist. When Arisia puts up her hair it is for occasion and not a frequent affair. Arisia prefers extravagant dress and schoolwear with bright bows and accessories. Her eyes are a bright yellow green. She sets in at about five foot four and has a above average build.

Race/Species: Demon Weapon
Soul Colour & Traits: Yellow Green - Seems dignified with what resembles a bow.
Weapon Form: Shortbow
Abilities:
  • Demon Weapon: “Demon Weapons are a race of people who can take on the form of traditional weapons.” — Much like many at the DWMA, Arisia is a Demon Weapon (or Magic Weapon); the weaponized half of a Meister/Weapon pairing. This leads to skills that come under the umbrella of the role.
  • Soul Perception: Arisia is skilled enough in perception of the soul to sort out the “noise” that lies as a challenging buffer for identification purposes. She however does have difficulties beyond intermediate levels of the ability.
  • Combat Trained: Trained by aristocrats, Arisia is skilled in some degree of self-defense despite her lack of mentioning so. Whilst she lacks the techniques of Anastasia Yngling (see; Royal Karate) she is similar in pedigree with expertise in European fencing and by extension Canne de Combat. This can be extended to hand-to-hand combat and isn’t limited to swords and canes.
  • Soul Resonance: A rare ability, but one that Arisia has the potential for as with all Demon Weapons. When synchronized perfectly with her Meister pairing she can utilize sort of “true” soul abilities that are immensely powerful.
    • Nadia Ylwizaker: When synchronized Nadia and Arisia create the Soul Resonance abilities that fall under the “Gun-type” category (despite being a Bow & Arrow foundation). The only one known to them is called Danmaku, a barrage category technique that uses the supercharged ability from a synchronization to spread the soul energy into a complex “machine gun” sort of volley.

Weaknesses:
Arisia is particularly reserved and ambivalent towards most things, which ends up being a costly double-edged sword. Whilst it might be hard to invoke an emotional reaction from her it also means she has less passion thrown out into combat which can cause weird off-put synergies with her Meister, Nadia.

Mentally, Arisia has the least obvious flaws given her high academic scores and her great level of focus intellectually.

Whilst Arisia has some conditioning (and is a Demon Weapon) she is not the most physically conditioned with lower stamina than most and a lower threshold of pain tolerance and endurance. She is extremely accurate and precise, which is perhaps why her Demon Weapon form is as it is, but that is her only central physical strength, with the rest being poor-to-moderate.

The youngest daughter of the Königin family, Arisia was discovered to have inherited the Demon Weapon ‘gene’ when she was thirteen years old thus starting her on the journey to DWMA. Within the NOT curriculum Arisia showed herself reserved and rather… introverted to the point of awkwardness. Arisia became know to speak few lines and seek little things and up until her pairing with Nadia Ylwizaker was believed to have difficulty finding a pairing of any sort with any potential Meisters despite her studious personality. Once paired with Nadia she would often be called the “ice” to Nadia’s “fire”— a reference to their vastly different personality types. But somehow the two would learn to become quite cohesive in their bond with one another for just that reason.

Nadia & Arisia became an odd pair indeed as they took upon the contracts given to them through the DWMA as Nadia looked to prove herself and Arisia served as a buffer to temper her partner’s erratic personality. Allocated Contract:
Nadia & Arisia have taken on a new contract — a trail of bodies leads through a small town located near an ominous forest; to which the villagers have hushed in a silent panic as no investigation has led to results other than death and suspense. The sighting of something dangerous could lead it to be the work of a monster, witch, or perhaps both? It seems that another neighboring village is facing similar issues… but that’s another contract entirely. Or is it?

Lincoln 'Linc' Caliber

Gender: Male.
Age: Nineteen.
Appearance: Linc is almost always seen wearing a thick black headband with strands of wispy silver-gray hair poking out over a pair of slits where pale brown eyes sit accompanied by a large roguish grin. A jacket or hoodie of some sort always with はくしょん (Hakushon 'lit. Achoo') stitched down the back. A plain or buttoned shirt in either white or a different shade of brown over a light gray undershirt with plain black slacks tucked neatly into a pair of ankle-high black combat boots.
Race/Species: Demon Weapon

Classification: Autonomous Weapons
Soul Colour & Traits: Pale Goldenrod - A bomb-shaped soul wearing a mischievous smirk, wrapped by a thick band across the forehead allowing a few wispy bits of what appears to be hair fan out above the thin eyes. A long fuse stems up from the top head which has been noted to shrink with his temper.
Weapon Form: Artillery (Cannon)
Abilities:

  • Autonomous Weapon - Being such a powerful weapon type and displaying a load of prowess on his own, Lincoln is one of few Demon weapons who lack the need for a Meister nearby. By transforming his limbs into cannon barrels, Lincoln can unleash a chain of low powered blasts (typically blue or white in color) or alternatively he can charge up his attacks for more precise and destructive force (which radiates a golden glow similar to sunlight).
  • Stationary Weapon - An uncommon trait in some weapons where they take the form of a completely stationary weapon when fully transformed. In Lincoln's case he takes the form of a "howitzer" type cannon which allows him to attack a target far away with a high level of destructive power. Meisters can empower his blasts to increase his range, accuracy and destructive force.
  • Tough - Lincoln is tough. He's not the biggest or the strongest one but he is the last to give up and admit defeat. Call it whatever you'd like; determination, arrogance or old fashion grit but this boy lacks an off switch.

Weaknesses:

  • Reload - Although Lincoln can fight for a long time and has a good amount of endurance, his abilities require him time to 'reload' his which leaves him quite vulnerable.
  • Allergies - For some reason Lincoln constantly has a stuffy/runny nose, a slight cough and an occasional sneeze as if he is plagued with a constant sickness. Unable to figure out his exact allergy or how to medicate it, he is stuck constantly suffering. These symptoms appears to fade the more his bad temper shows.
  • Flippant - Lacks the ability to be serious and direct his full attention to a task at hand. This often leaves him exposed or caught with his pants down.
  • Foolish - Is known to be the type that will "take the bait" and allows himself to be provoked into bad situations.
  • Volatile - Once Lincoln's fuse is ignited he becomes rash, arrogant and self-destructive. Anything that isn't with him entirely becomes another obstacle to blow through.
  • Maverick - His unpredictable nature makes it difficult to work well with others, views himself as stronger and more capable alone.


Brief History: If you asked where Lincoln was born, he would tell you a large city beside a beautiful river sometime when the moon was out. How he knows this and whether it is the truth or not is unclear entirely. The first record of Lincoln that can be corroborated is the night he was found on the steps of the South Hilltop Orphanage, an ancient business run by an even more ancient older woman who Lincoln only recalls ever calling 'The Madam'. Lincoln and the other children were never allowed to leave the building at all, they were even schooled from within by the Madam herself. Without a solid peer group around him Lincoln became a withdrawn and quiet child, often found reading books about animals or the world around him. Occasionally the young silver haired boy bore the brunt of tormenting by a pair of older kids, brothers who would tell Lincoln they witnessed squirrels placing him on the stairs of the orphanage or that his mother and father were the same person and they were ashamed of the thing they made.

When Lincoln was ten, a group of ghouls invaded the orphanage at night with the intent to devour the helpless children inside. Young Lincoln had managed to grab a group of the younger children and hide them in a bathroom with himself. Unknown at the time, these ghouls tracked prey with the smell of fear and located the children. Fueled by fear and a will to protect the children, Lincoln's arm transformed into a small cannon. Using this new ability he managed to fend off the ghouls but found his newly discovered ability was too underdeveloped to kill them. The ghouls eventually overcame him and continued devouring the children before his eyes. Fighting tooth and nail Lincoln tried to save who he could until a nearby Meister arrived and dispatched the ghouls. The Meister was sickened by what he witnessed but found himself impressed with the sheer desire to fight within this child who displayed Demon Weapon traits. After contacting the DWMA, Lincoln was officially adopted by the academy where he created his own surname, Caliber. As he continued through the DWMA, he found it increasingly more difficult to find anyone to work with opting instead to fight by himself.

Allocated Contract:
The Sack Man - Lincoln is currently investigating alleged sightings from multiple regions of a man carrying a large black sack with some claims of children's cries emanating from the sack. Although most trails have gone cold, a recent lead from South America has Lincoln headed en route to a small mining village located along a river.
