Short bio (+personality): Elizabeth Parks was a beautiful woman who lived around the same time as Shakespeare. She was a noble's daughter, and was extremely skilled with instruments. She was kidnapped and held for ransom, and when they got their money, they went back on their word, selling her into the dark world of prostitution. She was not treated well, but was frequently visited by a man who told her of another world away from this one, where the darkness would comfort her rather than terrify her. One night while this man was in her bed, he turned her. She had never seen the world so clearly. Her first kill was her captor who had sold her to random men all those years ago. At first she was scared and confused, and ravenous, killing on a whim. She tried to go back to her family, but they all aged and she would never. So she turned to the underworld. Short bio(+Personality): Locke was once Amir Bahadur, who was born to a very poor and destitute family. While this meant days without food and hard labor in the fields, Amir felt his upbringing prepared him for the harsh military life of a Gurkha. Joining up with a Gurkha rifle regiment as soon as he was of age, Amir participated in several armed conflicts. His unit eventually became absorbed into the British East India Company, and he fought for the British Crown. His unit's exploits soon won the attention of a certain British Officer. He told Amir of vampires, and how they were a threat to the civilized world. A Gurkha would be a great asset in dealing with the vermin, the officer stated. At first, Amir thought this to be the ramblings of a man hampered with combat fatigue. But the man had pictures of the victims of vampires, and while this wasn't proof to Amir that there were actually vampires, it at least convinced Amir that he should at least kill these murderers. It did not matter whether they were human, or vampire, as the man had stated. Amir was then transferred to London, and given a more English name, Locke.

While Locke has attempted to assimilate into London Society, he finds it hard not to lash out at some of the racist attitudes of many British Citizens. For now at least, he has managed to control his temper, and stay calm and collected.

Of french origin and british education, Marquis Laurent de Liberté was raised to succeed his father at the Court of Louis XIV.

Far from being exceptionally literate or hardworking, young Laurent found his key to success in a much more mundane gift; his physical appeal. Alluring glossy lips and blue eyes cold as ice, covered by platinum blonde locks of silk adorning an angel-like face, delicate as his thin body and round, almost feminine hips. He was the favorite at the Court, and he never hesitated to use his charm to make his way up in the complicated political hierarchy of the Renaissance.

It was on a stormy night that fate wanted to put an end to his luck; after spending hours courting some fine gentleman, the man grabbed him by his wrist and dragged him out the palace. Laurent tried to break free, but the strength of the man was extraordinary. The boy got cornered in a dark alleyway, looking at his captor in the eyes. The man was like an animal. He seemed driven by an instinct much stronger than his own will, as if Laurent has woken up on him a desire for a long time asleep.

He ripped his clothes with his fangs and sliced his throat, blood splattering the wall behind them. The boy tried to fight back, uselessly. The man, or rather, the beast, fed on him until his heart almost stopped beating. This was the end, Laurent thought. But the boy wouldn't die without fighting back. He bit the hand of his aggressor trying to free himself. He could taste the man's blood. It filled his mouth and dripped from his lips. That was the first time he ever tasted blood, though he didn't know then that it wouldn't be the last.

The vampire left, leaving the boy there, thinking that he would be too weak to convert, that he would die from blood loss. Laurent fainted then, but when he woke up a few days later he knew he had lost his humanity. He had become a beautiful monster. An alluring, bloodthirsty and lustful monster like the one who attacked him that fateful night.

Following his new instincts, he left his home in France and travelled to London looking for more of his kind, where he was brought to the House of Grangrel. It seemed that his new 'family' could recognize one of their own. How? That was something he was yet to learn, like many other things. But for once in his life, he was eager to learn.

Far from being scared, he embraced his new nature. His heightened senses, his sinful appeal; now he could fulfill all his ambition and more. Who wants to be at the Court when you can have the world?

He decided to work hard for his house, he had plans to get himself a the top. He wanted to become an elite and rule over the lowly humans as the superior creature he was now. But that was until he met Master Grangrel. Tall, imposing, majestic... And cruel. That was, in Laurent's eyes, all the things a vampire should be. It was perfection. And it was unreachable.

From that day on, all of Laurent's efforts went directed toward one single goal; impress the master and gain his favor. Even if that meant loosing his own life to bring his master the so desired throne of the vampires.
