Tom Porter

Upon draining his 634th glass, Tom glanced around at the group lining the bar. He sighed. "So... remind me again why is it that we have been on a retreat in Bavaria for six months, and all we've done is sit at the bar all day, every day?" he asked.

Twelve pairs of eyes turned in his direction. Jonas, with a chuckle, responded, "Well, what would you be doing if you were home?"

"...Touché," Tom conceded, as he poured the 635th class. He wondered how the Wolfs could possibly have enough alcohol to permit everyone to drink like it's water for half a year, and still have plenty in store. But then, with a smirk, he decided that on a manor where werewolves roam free, a Jigglypuff runs the show and six random Americans are brought halfway across the world just because they can, he had no right to be questioning the vastness of their wine cellar.

All you guy's reactions made me realize I haven't said anything in way too long.

I've just been like, "Oh, here I am checking in. Oh, someone said hi! I'm going to say hi back!" *Doesn't*

Drink ourselves right to death, Tom, my boy! xD Man, I got hit by a huge wave of nostalgia.

All I've been doing is saying random things and popping in to draw dwindling attention back, so I know what you mean, Cops.
To be honest, this has been one of my, if not, my absolute favourite group of Roleplayers ever. And a roleplay that has a very special, miraculous sort of place in my itty bitty heart.

I just went over the Characters tab again because I found myself forgetting the faces of our characters, and BAM nostalgia.
...I must confess, I...kind of really miss Wolf Manor mostly Félix muh babe and its wacky inhabitants. It was, is, such a nice RP. With such a great environment. You're all wonderful people.
And I miss all of you dearly.

Especially @Jig, wherever you are. We send love and care packages as necessary!

Jonas spun a small glass around in his hands, kicking the legs of his bar stool and nodding sagely at the floor in response to Thomas. "Yup. For me though, there's just one thing missin' from makin' this feel like a normal Friday night...Hey, Felix?" Felix, in his now permanent spot behind the bar, looked up at him and blinked as Jonas asked, "Do our hosts have a karaoke machine tucked away somewhere?"

Marceline arched an eyebrow from further down the bar. "Karaoke? You?"

"Oh, yah. There's this bar on the corner back home...we own that tiny stage."

Evelynn grinned mischeviously from the seat next to him as Felix poured Jonas another drink instead of answering the question. "Jonas, do you have a secret wild party boy side just waiting to get out?"

Jonas responded, cradling his drink hesitantly, "Well..."

"...best not to think about it."

Suddenly, with a deep, unpleasant crack, the door erupted off its hinges, blasting splinters and split chunks of wood into the air. The silence that filled the room was punctured only slightly by the tinkle of a screw hitting the floor and rolling gently. There in the doorway stood Sol, still clearly hungover from the ball, judging by the pallor to his face and the prickly dusting of hairs across his unshaved chin. He was still wearing the best part of his suit, which was sopping wet. A wide, if frail, grin, was plastered across his mouth, even as his shivering body quivered where it stood.

"Did somebody say karaoke?"

This is the most resilient fucking group and I fucking love you fucking fucks for it. You fuckers. :P

Here's the skinny: we have options.

1) We limp along and hope I can get my shit together at a time that coincides with all of your shit not having fallen apart and see if we can keep this going. If this is what we'd like to do... I believe it's Cops' post. :P

or the frankly better one

2) We call Wolf Manor an awesome experience, and move onto the next Murder Manor with whoever would like to join and under the capable GMship of somebody who actually has the headspace for that. It means that I have to commit less, because I would be playing and not running the game, somebody else gets to bring a fresh perspective to this quirky kinda game, and it's actually a guaranteed way of finding out what was behind mysteries such as "Lena's surprise grudge against Jonas", "The secret of the maybe-missing paintings", and "Why the fuck Jig kept bringing up the fucking Handyschüssel". Other mysteries include whether or not there were indeed were-gators in the lake and what on earth was howling in the woods? In my ideal world, somebody would simply volunteer (I believe Ging was interested for the last reboot?) and the rest of us would pack up our old kit bags, hire a van, and all jump into a new thread together.

If anybody does wanna poke their head above the parapet (and I'd be nine billion per cent behind them if they did), check out the GM starter-pack below. If they can let me know ASAP if they wanna do it, it means I'll have ample time to start generating nicknames for you, this time. Either way, if you don't have my email but want it for any reason, send me a PM or, if I don't respond because I've floated off again, I know at least Flavs has it, so ask her.

By the way, it is a condition of any subsequent Murder Manor games that an awkward piece of manmeat called Felix be present. I'm pretty sure Ging wouldn't come back otherwise.

Omg brilliant ^

I know I wouldn't mind limping along, and I also definitely wouldn't mind a fresh new thread. I just know I wouldn't be able to volunteer to be GM because I'm still in school and can't spare the headspace to run around with, but I would also be 500% supportive of whoever wants to take that hat.

I would prefer limping along because new rp means new character (or redone character) and I am a lazy motherfucker and changing absolutely anything about my character would require work. Fuck that.

But seriously, if you guys would prefer to restart I don't mind, although I do still lean towards limping along., ALSO, HOLY SHIT SUB/SUP TAGS STACK!

I think I'd also prefer limping along, (as much as Jig probably doesn't wanna hear it lol) because Jonas has really grown on me despite the fact that he's basically made of Fargo references and I don't wanna leave him in the middle of Germany. I wouldn't be up for GMing myself but I wouldn't mind anyone else.

Edit: If Ginger takes over as GM then this will definitely end with Lynn and Felix riding off into the sunset together and I'm all for that.

As long as we're doing bonus points, if anyone can identify the band in the tiny tiny gif from my earlier post then you'll get bonus points and my respect for the rest of my days.

...I'm guilty of really really not wanting to abandon little Lynn, because she's grown on me a lot as well, and I honestly really enjoy her character dynamics with everyone so far.

(Even racist Gertrud. Lol.)

But I'm equally okay with starting up a new game, for which I will try my hardest to keep up. :)
Wolf Manor/Woll Manor are super important to me, after all!

...I won't be able to GM either, because there's so much I have to learn. It's always an experience, but I'm far from clever enough to weave a wonderful bloody tapestry like this deserves.
Plus, ew, real life tho.

What I do suggest is looking for someone, or a duo of someones, who just might be up for the job of collaboratively GMing and controlling sides. If we start a new game up, that means you can be one of us, Jig! Or you can thrust your known ideas into the hands of the newfolk and pray for the best.

Or you could continue to be our supreme overlord. I like that, too. :)

If you don't want to do it, that's cool, but I don't remotely believe you're in any way 'not good enough'. If it's a case of 'things to learn', the best way to learn is to do, and the second best way to learn is to ask people who have done, and obviously I (and probably also Bliss from way back when) can tell you directly what worked well for us and what didn't. If Real Life is doing its thang, though, there's not a huge amount to be done about that.

For what it's worth, a CO-GM is something I would definitely endorse. Trying to work out the insanity in my own brain alone was pretty challenging - I actually tried asking some RL people to soundboard, but none of them do PbP RPing and the closest I got to help was relevant only to P&P RPGs/LARPing, which wasn't super-helpful and honestly, wasted about an hour of my time in which I was too polite to explain how limited that person's utility as a resource was.

Apart from anything else, don't assume I did/am doing a super job of this. I think I did a good job of trying to make sure everybody had stuff to do and hopefully keeping intrigue high, but the actual plot is a glorious mess.

...

Alternatively, if nobody wants to GM, I could consider rebooting it myself - ideally with a CO-GM. This is something I'm absolutely under no circumstances promising, but it's an option. I get that people get attached to their characters (you have no idea how much fun Sol was to write for) but clearly, trying again would give me a chance to dodge the pitfalls I sleepwalked into last time and hopefully build a plot that is more participant-proof.

Kinda gutted that I didn't manage to tempt anybody with the spoilers, though. :P

Go on, who fell for the Starter-Pack?

I'm fine with limping along, but if need be I don't mind being GM. Since everyone says they are fine with limping along I think that's the descion though so no need for that.

I can also co-gm if needed.
