An aircraft (or spacecraft) is a 'bogey' when it's an unknown contact, and if it shows hostile intent then it's tagged as a 'bandit'.

I didn't explain it as I thought most people would've heard those terms somewhere. Especially since the game's advertised as a fighter-based one.

@RainDash don't sweat it, I've often seen peolpe confuse the terms as interchangeable. Even people who are otherwise enthralled by realistic military fiction.

Honestly, I was interested because I like space combat sims (Elite: Dangerous being the one I've sunk time into)...but the ones I've played so far don't involve a lot of communication using those terminologies. I thought it'd be fun to participate in a space combat RP, even though I'm not well versed with the terminology right off the bat.

That said, I had to research as quickly as possible and did find a few pages that listed the words along with with their meanings:



Of course, not all words in those lists are going to apply in space combat but a good chunk of them should be useful to know.

Needless to say, this has been a learning experience so far :)

Attention pilots, just an FYI: You'll have longer to make your posts this week, as I have a friend coming to visit and an otherwise busy weekend. So, the new IC won't go up until Tuesday at the earliest.

Alright, let me start off by saying I definitely don't want this rp yo die. In fact, I'm making a fuss precisely because of that reason.

We've all been waiting for a GM response from you. Not even an ic post either. Just a sign that you still care would be good enough. I know you can see this, so please, make a response. Your silence is extremely aggrevating. At least for me.
