As they strode into the small hamlet that was, apparently, called Udny Pass...


Just in case any of my wording was misleading, the hamlet was the tiny village that got swallowed up by the earth earlier in the story. Udny Pass deserves to be called a small city. A fraction of the size of Marion Bay, but still quite large and busy for such a remote area of Areta.

Now that we're here, I'm looking forward to something a little slower paced and less action-heavy. I've thrown you all through the gauntlet, and now we can finally explore our characters in a more peaceful setting. It's all been a bit hectic up until now, but it was necessary to get the plot going.

I think one of my worst pet peeves in RP is forced idle chatter, lacking heart or spirit. Now when our characters converse, they'll have something to talk about other than what's in their bios on the char page. Conversation will actually move the story forward instead of filling space.

Noted, JJ. I'm hoping this round moves pretty quickly. And as you may have observed with Fireball XL5, you won't be the only one waiting until the next round to join the scene.

No problem at all, it was a lot of info and you joined a little later in the game. I wouldn't expect or ask anyone to read every word of the RP when it doesn't pertain to their own character.

Also I found some more art. It reminded me of the spirit of my dear Knights.

Ah, I was just looking at the website. I use DevArt when I'm lazy and need pictures for something, but that place is a cesspit of fan art and I avoid it as much as possible. Haven't been an active user since about 2009.

There are legitimate artists who use it as an easily referenced archive, but mostly you just tend to get ponies, sonic, weird horse RP characters, or furries no matter WHAT THE SEARCH TERM. YOU CAN LITERALLY TYPE IN 'ROMAN ARCHITECTURE' AND FIND BLUE HORSES OR FURRIES

So relatable. It's kinda sad actually. The ones that always make me laugh are when you search for a serious term, looking for a serious character picture.. so I just entered a collection called 'Vikings' and I see some semi good pictures, and then there's this one picture of a woman with a sword who's wearing only a belt.

True art, that is. :/

Oh I forgot all about the "photography" of artful nudity, in which the subject stares forlornly into the camera, as if looking directly at me and knowing exactly how I came across their picture. Because I plugged in the search term "desert city".
