Like I said--new here, but not to roleplaying in any way. I consider myself to be an advanced RPer and would like a partner who is also. I respond often and reliably but I do work in theatre sooo.....sometimes I might not get to it super immediately. That said, I've found myself with a lot of free time recently. I keep things PG-13 but I love action and drama, be it interpersonal, plot, or inward personal drama. I don't really care much about romance. It's a thing.
Mostly I have a character I want to work with, but the details of the setting and plot are fairly flexible and open to interpretation, suggestion, and discussion (in fact, I encourage it.)
Long story short, I have a female character with a fiery personality and always something to prove, but is not an overly open person or terribly expressive when it comes to sadness, grief, shame, embarrassment, etc. She is quite passionate though and she prides herself on being strong in both mind and body. She's a drifter due to unfortunate past circumstances and doesn't have too much to her name but her own self respect and her sword/knife (NOTE: this applies in a scifi/fantasy/dystopian/parallel universe setting or any other settings, even if it would be odd for her to have one. If in a more modernized setting, she would also carry a gun but rarely uses it and favors her blades instead.
I was thinking like, there's some kind of attack on a city/nation/figurehead or something and her people are responsible. She's not directly involved but happens to be there when it goes down and thus, people look at her and think she's involved. Maybe she gets taken in as a prisoner for interrogation and after they figure out she's not at fault, she tries to help them navigate the subtleties of her culture and language as well as figure out why this might have happened, or maybe to catch those responsible or something.
Or maybe there's like an apocalyptic event and so different nations/factions are pitting against each other to gain some control over resources or power or just survival and she works with your character to either survive and get out of their way, or maybe infiltrate another group, or something.
I'm open to suggestions. Really I just want to work with this character--it's been a while since I've been able to and I have so many ideas for her.
