History:At the young impressionable age of 8, Lucian's power reveled itself in the most subtle of ways. Often, those who lived with him experienced shortness of breath, and in server cases, mental hallucinations from oxygen deprivation. With constant doctors visits and no concrete answers, Lucian's parents began to run mad from fear and constant oxygen depravation, often attacking and accusing Lucian. Soon, the answer came, Lucian was a mutant, with a power that he didn't understand, nor could control in anyway. Fearing this power, at the age of 15 he was sent to live with many relatives, bouncing from home to home throughout the nation before one of his uncles had enough. He was quickly enrolled in the Institute, a place were he would be able to better control this depraved power of his. For years, he has been at the Institute, learning the true meaning behind his power.
Appearance:Lucian is an African-American man with coffee bean-brown skin, deep-brown eyes and black hair. He sports a simplistic hairstyle of short dreadlocks although it can be viewed more as twists. Despite being ragged on for his poor physical fitness, he is quite well-built, though he tends to stand with poor posture, slouching over. Standing straight at 6'1" and weighing over 205 pounds, Lucian is 'very big' for his age.
Powers:Oxikinesis: Lucian has the ability to shape and manipulate oxygen. Increasing, or decreasing the amount present in a room, or manipulating its properties. This is an extremely dangerous ability, both for Lucian and his opponents. With this power, Lucian can lower oxygen levels in the surrounding environment to a point were many may succumb to mental hallucinations and near suffocation. This can inhibit the creation of fire by taking a large amount of its fuel away. This can also have the opposite effect if Lucian were to raise oxygen levels, fire would be stronger and burn much longer. With oxygen, Lucian can fly by riding on fast moving oxygen molecules, walk on them, glide, or levitate. The drawbacks of this ability are simple. By raising oxygen levels to high for to long, it can actually. cause brain damage to himself and others, and same is the effect with severe deoxygenization, but due to the fact that he can create a pocket of it to breath from, he can avoid its draw backs, but the concentration required to do this is quite massive. This ability also alows Lucian to combust molecules of oxygen, creating explosions within a ten foot radius, although very small.
Personality: He On the surface, Lucian comes off as a rather silly and lighthearted person, frequently engaging in comical behavior and retaining his oft-present grin even while making threats. He displays a childlike amusement for new situations whether or not they prove adverse or even potentially fatal. Even with all these idiosyncrasies, Lucian is extremely personable and has a particularly complimentary nature that easily gains him the friendship and trust of those surrounding him.
Of course, these aspects hide the complex and determined young man underneath. On the reverse side of his frivolous nature is his considerable shrewdness, which makes him quite capable of reading people and situations. He is particularly observant, taking into consideration even the smallest details of his surroundings in order to better understand and deal with challenges and is not above using cheap tricks or questionable tactics to ensure his own survival. Being an avid philosopher and skilled rhetorician for his age, he can be a very calculating and methodical man, able to seemingly perceive any and all matters at hand and use this information to better manipulate the situation, making him all the more dangerous.
