DESCRIPTION: Carrie stands at about 5'3" and is of an athletic build. She has three scars running down the length of her left arm from a fight with one of the Malihini. She has deep green eyes, medium length black hair, and ivory skin. She is often seen wearing jeans, long sleeve shirts/hoodies, and converse sneakers. She also has a long tattoo down her spin of the different planets in the solar system. 

PERSONALITY: She is a fighter in her jaeger and on the ground. She is spunky, outspoken, hard headed, and stubborn. She has trust issues and doesn't let people close to her, but when she does she will be your best friend. She is loyal, trustworthy, spirited, and extremely sarcastic. Most of the time when having a conversation with her she lets her sarcasm and witty remarks get the best of her. Overall, she is nice and caring, but hard to get to know.

HISTORY: Carrie grew up in San Francisco, CA with her parents and 2 twin brothers that were 2 years older than her. Both of her brothers joined the military when they turned 18 and soon were off fighting overseas. Her parents both worked at the local hospital. Her father was a surgeon and her mother was a trauma nurse. Needless to say, she knew how to fight and protect herself when needed, and how to bandage herself up when she lost.

Both her brothers were killed in action when their vehicles hit an explosion on their way back to their camp. Carrie was 19 when they died. Her parents, stricken with grief, packed everything up and moved to Patan, Nepal. They did volunteer medical work there, and Carrie got in to trouble a lot while in college. When Carrie was 20 her parents were murdered by a radical extremist who invaded the hospital they were both volunteering at. Carrie was beside herself with grief.

She dropped out of college and became a nothing short of a gypsy. She fought often, stole, and bargained herself for money and food. She was in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, when she was picked up by some government officials for petty charges. In exchange for not going to jail, she agreed to being sent to one of their compounds and fighting the alien invasion that was upon them. She was sent as a representative of Nepal even though she wasn't a native.

JAEGER NAME: Comet Specter

JAEGER DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL: The Comet Specter has a deep grey metallic undercoat with reds and blues overlaying the arms, legs, and major joints of the machine. There is a narrow yellow/orange window in the face of the head unit that allows vision. There are 2 long daggers stored securely inside the joints of the metal at the underside of each wrist that spring out at the press of a button. A long double edged sword is stored along a hidden compartment on the spine of the machine and appeared when properly switched into attack mode. There are also plasma cannons on each palm, on the center console of the chest unit, and a small port right under the vision window on the head unit. The way you operate Specter is by connecting to the head unit. You must be dressed in the proper suit and connected via wire by arms, legs, etc to control movements correctly. (this is wear my suit is similar to PR. The suits and connection-just with one person). 

SPECIAL WEAPONS: The plasma cannons, and a long double edged sword stored on the back.

SPECIAL ATTACKS: Twisting thunder (using both daggers on the wrists and spinning rapidly through/at the opponent.) Triple plasma blast (using all 3 cannons to fire plasma at the same time.) Slashing fury (calling the double edged sword and slashing downward at the opponent.)

WEAKNESSES: Plasma cannons take a lot to recharge and once used it takes a while to regenerate energy to fight. The machine itself is weak in the lower legs and can be easily knocked down if the opponent hits low enough.

EXTRA WEAPONS/ADD-ONS: The sword, the daggers, and the option to attach a high powered grenade launcher to the right arm.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Most of the machine is made of a strong steel that has been custom painted. There is also a custom paint job on the right and left forearms of constellations Orion and Pegasus.

DESCRIPTION: Gideon is a massive, powerfully built man. He is around six feet five inches tall and 250 pounds with especially broad shoulders and big hands. He prefers to dress in uniform and is nearly always smiling.

PERSONALITY: Gideon is a cheerful, boisterous man with an infectious laugh, the type to slap you on the back and tell a joke, the type who declares you his best friend after knowing you for only an hour. He enjoys a good fight, maybe a little too much. 

HISTORY: Growing up a poor Zulu in the slums of Johannesburg was no picnic for Gideon, but it did teach him one valuable thing: how to fight. Fighting has more or less defined the man's entire life- it is his passion and his expertise. It's a good thing for honest people everywhere that he chose to join the Army rather than one of the many slum gangs like other members of his family.

Promoted to sergeant and a regimental hand-to-hand instructor, Khambalo was among the many soldiers screened as potential pilots for South Africa's burgeoning Jaeger program in 2024. With the South African economy growing due to more and more Asian industrial concerns deciding to relocate to Africa (with kaiju destroying factories left and right, there was only one continent left with a large labor pool and low tax rates), it made good economic sense to build the capabilities to protect these new assets.

Khambalo was the only canidate to get through the rigorous training to pilot Olifant Rogue, the first African Jaeger (Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt have since built their own). Intended as a just-in-case weapon in case kaiju reeemerge, now Khambalo is being pressed into action in this new war.

JAEGER NAME: Olifant Rogue

JAEGER DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL: Olifant, like the name suggests, was built for sheer size and strength, intended to be able to manhandle even Class III kaiju. Standing around 102 meters (334 feet) it is larger and heavier than many other Jaegers and painted a uniform gray. Instead of conventional hands, it possesses large pincers. The connpod is in the large head, which posseses a long, flexible prehensile tentacle (the trunk) and two massive artillery pieces built into the collarbone (the tusks). More on these below. 

SPECIAL WEAPONS: 
Pincers- Olifant Rogue's pincers, while incapable of fine manipulation, can close with enormous force, enough to flatten a freight ship. When closed, they work equally well as maces to batter any foe who gets too close.

Trunk- The tentacle from Olifant's head is around 55m (180 feet) long and unlike the pincers, is actually capable of lifting or manipulating smaller objects, or constricting something with crushing force. On the end is a “small” but extremely sharp diamond-crusted blade.

Tusks- The two artillery pieces in Olifant Rogue's collarbone are 90 cm smoothbore guns, some of the largest such weapons ever created. Firing a shell the size of a panel van, the recoil is so great that even Olifant Rogue must brace itself to avoid being bowled over. The size of the shells prevents intricate aiming, however, the guns basically only fire straight ahead. However, the weapons can tear through even a destroyer with ease. The muzzles of the cannons have also been sharpened to a fine point, because why not.

SPECIAL ATTACKS:
Olifant Rogue is built for close-in brawling, meant to use its enormous size and power to overwhelm a kaiju- a tactic that suits the pilot well. Ideally, it would batter an opponent into submission, hold it still with pincers and trunk, then finish it off at close range with the tusks.

WEAKNESSES: Olifant's sheer size and heavy armor results in one major drawback: it is slo-o-o-oow, with around half the speed of most other Jaegers. In addition, the size and weight of the thing makes operating in urban areas almost as dangerous as a kaiju attack- just walking around would destroy buildings and collapse streets. 
 
EXTRA WEAPONS/ADD-ONS:
SAM battery- Mounted on Olifant Rogue's shoulders are two batteries of surface-to-air missiles with heavy warheads (two batteries of sixteen missiles for a total of thirty-two). They were hastily added when it was discovered that the Malihini were able to fly, hopefully they can knock one of the flying creatures back to earth.

Exocet battery- A battery of twenty-five Exocet anti-ship missiles (modified for ground combat) are built into Olifant Rogue's chest in order to give it at least some ranged combat ability. An Exocet can sink an armored warship, hopefully it can do some harm to a Malihini.

DESCRIPTION: Ramesh is man of Indian descent in his mid-thirties. He is of average height and build. His clothes are mismatched and his hair is constantly messy- he is not terribly concerned with his personal appearance. 

PERSONALITY: Ramesh is fascinated with knowledge for the sake of knowledge. The appearance of kaiju within his lifetime has especially caught his interest, and he will obsessively study the subject without food or rest. This does not mean he is unsociable or unkind, but he often doesn't realize that others might not share his passion- the unprepared will often find him off-putting and weird.  

HISTORY: Ramesh Pillay was born in Durban in 1999, the son of a lawyer and a real estate agent. He was a quiet, bookish type as a child. His interest was firmly captured by the first kaiju attack on San Francisco in 2014. Questions about how such an enormous creature could survive and function raced through his mind. He began to study biology and zoology, especially the burgeoning field of kaiju studies. His parents had money, which afforded him an excellent education both in South Africa and in the United States (he met the love of his life and eventual husband Phil Travers while studying at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore). With little competition, by his 20s Pillay had become one of the top macrobiologists- the men and women devoted to the study of kaiju. However, with the Kaiju War considered won by 2025, macrobiology became less of a dire need and more of a curiosity. Teaching at the prestigious Stellenbosch University, Ramesh was considered a competent if spacey professor and the faculty indulged his research as an eccentricity. However, with the Malihini attacking Atlantic cities, this position has been reconsidered. Pretoria has sent him to London to aid in the efforts against the invaders.

Though Maria can be short tempered and rude, especially when she gets up the wrong foot first, she is a loyal and bold soldier, determined to do her best to protect her country, its allies and those with the same goal. History:
Maria grew up in Norden in Lower Saxony. Influenced by her two older brothers, her grandfather’s Afrika Korps uniform and encouraged by her father, she quickly fell in love with history, especially the military part. In 2016, a new weapon was created. The Jaegers fascinated her so much she joined the Jaeger program straight after graduating university. She was among the six candidates to pass and was assigned to the second German jaeger, the Panther. The Panther’s crew trained along with the other two german battle machines, the Tiger and Leopard.

In 2026, a friendly fire incident occurred. The Tiger fired its MGM-140 missiles at the other jaegers, destroying the Leopard, killing the two pilots and sending the Panther into the shop for almost a year, leaving its crew injured and trapped inside the conn pod for several hours. After the refit and a substantial upgrade, including a single-pilot system, German commanders decided to ditch the names of the famous WWII tanks and the jaegers were renamed the Mad Cat and Hellcat.

The Mad Cat was built for reconnaissance and hit and run attacks. Focusing on speed and mobility, the Mad Cat is also equipped with powerful detection equipment ranging from HD cameras to LIDAR, allowing it to attack far away targets with ease. Though the Mad Cat is equipped for close range and hand-to-hand combat, its speed is its biggest asset when enemies get too close.

Special Attacks:
In dire situations when it can’t escape, its pilots found out the best course of action is to lodge the wrist blades into its opponent and blindly fire all weapons, hoping the arm damage will be minimal.
Using the jump jets, the Mad Cat can pounce its opponent. This has proven effective against unsuspecting or downed targets.

Weaknesses:
The Mad Cat wasn’t built with durability in mind. While the front can take some beating, the back is nearly unprotected and the ATACMS launchers are quite vulnerable as well.

Description:
A little on the short side Ali actually wears a pair of semi-built up military boots. She has pale skin and short dark hair, midnight eyes that dominate her face, and can always be found wearing an oversized pair of headphones. 

Personality:
Quirky and optimistic, Ali isn't someone you'd expect to see in an army base, due to both her age, and her almost-innocence. She's seen some pretty nasty stuff, what with living in Aussie through quite a few Kaiju attacks, but she still generally seems to have this amazing love for the world. Jaeger obsessed, she loves tinkering and building and could talk your ear off given half a chance.
Seeming to always be in constant movement, Ali cannot seem to stay still, she's hyper enough that the nickname 'puppy' isn't really suprising.

History:
Growing up during the kaiju wars, in Australia no less, Ali has seen her fair share or terror and destruction thanks to giant rampaging aliens. She spent most of her childhood in and around Jaegers 'helping' Sara, her biological aunt and mother figure, with the construction and maintenance of the Australian Jaegers. Living in the Australian Shatterdome was an interesting time, she was one of the only children on base, and it could be really really lonely. In 2024 when she was nine, the Australian shatterdome was closed down in favor of the wall project, her grandfather, Jed, Jaeger designer and mechanic, was sent with Striker Eureka to head her maintenance crew, and Ali was left in Aussie with no home and no Jaegers. She spent that year living in the countryside with Sara at the family's farm house where she tried to be a 'normal' girl. 

After the war ended Jed came home, believing that the threat to earth wasn't over yet. So while other places round the world researched other things; solo piloting, better weapons, greater efficiency, ecctra , ecctrea, Sara and Jed started looking into ways to dual-core Jaegers, so that they could run digital, (it was generally more efficient), but be able to switch to analog if need be. Between going through her rebellious stage, (they threatened her with not being able to help with Jaegers when she was naughty) and actually attending school, (Boring as hell and not enough on the schematics of Jaegers) Ali also helped out. 
Currently Dual Core's work up to a point. It is possible to wire them up so either can be working, but switching requires a complete semi-manual reboot.

She made a few friends at school, and spent the years as normal as one can while video chatting with engineers round the world and building Jaegers in the back yard.

At eighteen Ali, and Sara, were 'conscripted' as head mechanics for the Australian Jaegers and sent to London. She's currently working on her own style of Jaeger, trying a different angle, better balance, more stability, greater speed and agility, if it works.
