Jenso stopped at the door of the shop. "Front door KICK!!" He cried out, attempting to kick the door open. "Excuse me, can you guys tell me where Bobba is? If he's at the mines, can you tell me where?" He shouted. He was somewhat annoyed due to the fact that his shirt was stolen. He believed it was Bobba due to his attitude from before, but he really didn't have any proof. It just seemed the most obvious that it would be him.

Bobba's workers all dropped what they were doing at the sight of Jenso smashing their door open. It almost flew off its hinges for goodness sakes! There were two near the hall, and one ran deeper into the store. "Wh-Wh-What do you want with Bobba?" One worker asked.

"W-W-We're not aloud to tell anyone where he is!" Another commented. The third came back into view and waved his hand to beckon Jenso forward.

"Boys, don't be rude!" He said, "Come, friend! Bobba's in the back. He's just taking care of an errand..."

"Oh, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to be rude." Jenso said in a calm tone. "Someone just stole my shirt, and uh, I wanted to ask Bobba if he saw anyone suspicious or something." Jenso responded, and followed after the third man. 'An errand, huh? This is obviously a trap..' He thought.

The third man nodded, sympathizing with Jenso. "Everyone thinks Bobba will know something about their missing belongings just because he knows everything about Orobo... It's a shame, really..." He man lead Jenso into a back room at the end of the third display table as he spoke, and shut the door behind them. The ground was rocky, jagged, and didn't have any floorboards at all. There wasn't even anything in here, except for blood stains.. "A shame you have to die!"

In a quick motion, the man's long sleeve was pulled back to reveal a light brown bracelet that glowed. Suddenly the ground below Jenso moved up like a sharp pillar, threatening to pierce his groin.

Jenso's eyes widened as he noticed the blood stains. He got in a combat stance immediately, as the ground below him began to move and the man revealed the strange glowing bracelet. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but he knew that he couldn't just stand there. He quickly dashed further to the right to avoid the pillar, and aimed a quick kick with his left foot at the brown bracelet that the man wore.

Jenso's kick was faster than the man had anticipated, and it immediate knocked the bracelet off his arm and shattered it across the ground. It immediately stopped glowing, and the ground stopped moving. The man looked at Jenso in terror, defeated in an instant. "Wh-What?! No! Please!" He immediate dropped to his knees and begged for forgiveness. "Bobba told us to dispose of you if you came by and questioned us! It was all his idea!"

Jenso gave the man a cold stare and looked right into his eyes. He was furious. "Where is Bobba?!" He shouted, clenching his fists in anger. If the man were to give up Bobba's location, he would attempt to knock him out.

The man rose his head and met Jenso's eyes. "Bobba... Bobba's at the mines with the rest of our workers... He... Ahh... Sir, what do you plan to do??" He asked, frightened.

"Take me to the mines. Now." Jenso demanded, waiting for the man to open the door and lead the way. "And don't try anything."

The man shook his head. "No way! Bobba will kill me!" He shouted, "The mines are down the north road! It's been worn out so much that it's impossible to get lost! Please, leave me be!"

"Sorry about this, pal." Jenso said casually, and attempted to knock the man out with a quick punch. He kept his own strength into account however, not wanting to accidentally kill him instead. If he were succesful, he'd attempt to kick the closed door open and dash out of the store to head to the mines. He kept his focus up however, prepared in case the other workers from a few minutes ago were still within the shop.

Jenso knocked the man out easily, and kicked the door right off its hinges this time. It seemed to be older than a normal door, and didn't have much strength hold it up. The other two workers immediately turned to Jenso and flourished their own bracelets. Suddenly, rocks jutted up from the floorboards like daggers, all blocking Jenso's path as more rocks flew up from the ground behind him, and headed towards him like little bullets.

Jenso stopped right in front of the wall of rock daggers and turned around to face the incoming rocks that came from behind. He hoped that the rocks would smash into the wall of daggers. As they got close to him, he dashed forward, aiming to weave through the onslaught of rocks.

The rocks weren't nearly fast enough to hit Jenso, and ended up crashing into the rock wall, sending small shards of rocky shrapnel towards their commanders. They were both impaled by the rocks, and collapsed on the spot. These workers didn't seem very good at their jobs. Then again, their jobs never accounted for Jenso.

Jenso looked down at the workers and frowned. He didn't want them to die, but it was their own fault regardless. Jenso dashed out of the store and headed for the mines.

On his way out of the store, Katie was just getting off of work, and noticed Jenso's rush. She was about to call out to the shirtless man, but wasn't able to say anything in time. Was he headed towards the mines? Why? She looked awfully curious, and headed towards Bobba's shop to say hi to the workers, and wish them a nice day...

Chapter 11

A Heretic's Wasteland


The entrance to the mine was in his sights after only half an hour of running. Jenso felt fine! His stamina was truly something to behold, and it felt like it kept improving as time went on. Was that his Ki getting more powerful? Who knew. The important thing right now was finding Bobba and exposing him for the dirty criminal he was.

The entrance was a hole placed dead center in the middle of a large rock that lead downwards, held in place by support beams and lined with a rocky path. It looked like there was nobody on the outside, and no trees for at least a mile. It was like a rocky desert out here. But before Jenso could reach it, something burst out of the ground and blocked his path. It was a giant worm, about 5 feet wide, and over ten meters long! Part of its body was still underground, but it aimed its mouth towards Jenso, and revealed several sets of razor-sharp teeth, right before it rushed him and attempted to swallow him whole.

As the beast lunged at Jenso, he quickly jumped further to the left to move out of the way. He turned to face the creature and dashed at it's right side, aiming to ram his left fist into it's side. He made sure to keep his distance from it's teeth.

Jenso's fist crashed against the worm's rough exterior, but didn't seem to do anything. His strength simply wasn't significant enough to harm it... The worm dug underground again, and appeared behind him, attempting to swallow him up for the second time.

It seemed that unless Jenso could harness his abilities, he would not be able to harm this worm. Either that, or he would have to find another way to win this battle, or retreat.

Jenso took note of the dirt shifting behind him and dashed further to the left to avoid the worm's attack. 'Darn...if only I was stronger..' He thought, jumping further back. He needed to get past in order to stop Bobba, but this beast was in his way. He had been able to harness his stronger inner Ki before, but that was only because he had been pushed to his limit. He had no real anger towards this creature, despite the fact that it was trying to kill him. 'If I don't leave, it's going to get me sooner or later..' He thought, and dashed back towards the village. Perhaps someone would know how to keep earthworms at bay or how to defeat them.
