Shiranui knew Brine would be extra potent after Pidgeot took a Thunder attack. "If Hoshi's Brine doesn't finish Pidgeot off, the recoil from Brave Bird likely would."

Pidgeot was able to keep going through the Brine and collided with Hoshi. The inpact threw dust up in the air. Pidgeot was first to emerge from the dust and was KO'd.

Shiranui was able to make out a pulsating light in the dust and when it cleared his hunch was right as he saw Hoshi's core flashing. The Starmie was also knocked out.

Liam smriked. This wasn't quite what he planned, though it would work. "Skill Swap!" Grimm did a few hand gestures and swapped his Pressure for Kinoko's Poison Heal. Grimm was than hit and badly poisoned.

"Kinoko, return; Gimansha, I choose you!" Shiranui made the switch before Dusknoir could use Mean Look. It was his Mawile that copped the attack and was thus unable to be switched unless she used a move to do so.
