Awesome! Yup, gotta have a theme song Was going to go overboard with gifs but it wouldve taken me forever lol. What do you think about them both being infected with the disease (obviously her illness is only in the beginning stages). Dunno. It could make for some suspenseful drama.

I was going to make a post about Jacob and all of his internal dilemmas and touch up a little about the fortress. I won't be able to get a post up until the weekend. If you want to get a post up before then, you can start off on Earth in whatever type of environment or situation you'd like to be thrown in and I'll work with it with my intro post. Both the Fortress and Earth are really blank canvases we can make up as we go along.

LOL. I would have gone overboard with gifs too. because it's fun going overboard.

Anyway, I was thinking the same thing, the two of them being infected with the same disease. But what disease do we give them? Something incapacitating obviously (since Jacob is bed ridden) and something progressive. I was actually thinking that we could make Jacob have disorientation later in the game... he will be unable to provide needed info and guidance for Julia making Julia vulnerable and at the same time panicky that she's not by his side. -insert dramatic music here-

Maybe make up some sort of DNA virus that leeches onto the system. First to go would be motor functions (Jacob being bedridden) and then sensory and then maybe the memory starts to fade, it becomes sort of jumbled up... and then the paranoia, the disorientation...and of course all of it leading to eventual death. I was thinking that this virus could be the reason why the rest of the humans have decided to convert to machine. I'm thinking of a fancy name to give the virus but coming up with a blank for the moment... What do you think?

And for the first few posts,I was thinking maybe we can have them together in the fortress. The scene before Julia goes down to Earth.

Ooooh I like all of your ideas! Yeah, I originally had the virus be this thing that was created by the machines to force them to convert. Maybe the leaders were the ones that made it to push their machine agenda all along.

Jacob will basically be controlling Matax in a VR kinda doohickey thing, but once he becomes disoriented, Matax will either go offline, or go into autopilot. I'll try and come up with some random names for the disease and we can hopefully mix and match what we brainstorm.

I like the idea with the first post having both of them together on the fortress. I'll be sure to add the dramas.

For the fortress I was thinking maybe a makeshift city built on a ship floating above Earth


Or maybe have the machine people already build an artificial planet. Kinda like Cocoon in Final Fnatasy XIII


And have said artificial planet have state of the art facilities and futuristic look.

I was thinking maybe have everything in ruins, most overrun by vegetation as nature claims the planet...

Although I haven't played any of the recent ones. FF4-FF12 are the only ones I've completed. FF6 is my all time favorite. And then battle for 2nd place is between 4 and 7.

You found an awesome picture of a floating city. I've been trying to look for the right one and you captured exactly what I'm looking for. Our aesthetic tastes are very similar. I'd like to run with that also the futuristic look pic. And yes, for earth, everything you've picked out is perfect.

As a matter of fact I'm down for having combat similar to FF as well. High tech sword and magic stuff kind of like Lightning from FF13. What do you think?

I like FF8 cause you know, love story there. For the battle I think I love them all.

Yeah, FF8 was pretty good too. I remember getting hooked on the mini card game. The airship they used is probably my favorite out of the whole franchise.

Sorry it took forever but its finally up!! Had trouble figuring out where to start it exactly.

So, basic timeline:

15 years ago they met. 10 years ago they found their way to The Fortress. 5 years ago the conversion began.

@Kyrisse No, it's an awesome name! Sounds authentic. Sorry, I know I said I was gonna think up some names but I couldn't come up with anything that didn't sound over-the-top lol.
