My suggestion would be to

A) Run away, no offence to your character
B) Get a group of warriors to run in and steal your thunder.

But if a sword is powered by flame due to magic, or a staff shoots lightning due to magic, it's completely fine. Seriously though, that was kinda the point - they are different, completely alien to this world and everything the world knows. But after all, sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, isn't it?

But even then, this whole idea still a work in progress, though I'm currently leaning towards the current "design".

What you are doing is comparing magic to technology. Sure our characters wont be able to tell the difference but we will and that'll affect our writing.

If you have a flash light but it's powered by magic rather than a battery is it not suddenly not a flash light? Aliens tend to really not mix well in a medieval setting.

If we want to add Gods to this I've got some original ideas and a creation myth that is as of yet unused but I don't think adding advanced tech is a good idea even if it is powered by "Magic".

I'm actually gonna have to side with Laue on this one. Mainly because I haven't played a fantasy-game with high tech "celestrials" before. Also, I loved the game "Too Human", which is pretty much what Laue is going for here so...

Parker, feel free to give us a rough draft of your creation myth so that we have something to work with in comparison.

Hal, I just got around it reading your post. I really enjoyed it, not only because you know how to write but the structure you used. You began with walking and ended with walking. That was something that I learned was suppose to be done in writing but I've never been able to do it affectivly. I just want to say that I appreciate your writing skill.

Hmm, which gives me another idea, if deities are involved. The Celestials have killed their own deity (somehow), and are using it's remains as a power source for everything they use. Bonus addition - Entropy. A dangerous and uncontrollable anomaly sometimes forming due to high concentration of said energy, like after a big battle. I would still need to figure out what Entropy would actually do.

Ideally, this would put up another contrast between Celestials and Humans/Elves/Demons - while others still have their gods, forgotten or worshipped, they have killed and exploited their own.

@Halvtand - check your PMs. I would like your opinion too.

I have to say, that's quite an interesting idea. That would bring an interesting new point to the story. If it somehow got to the point with the pagan gods interacting with the celestials, I could see some interesting outcomes from there, especially with the god whom I was thinking Urisk would be patron to. He tends to be rather...protective.

I'm waiting on Laue's post about Nianxi to continue on with Urisk, but I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to get them somewhere for them to sleep.

Sorry, but between my internship, Diablo 3 and League of Legends I sometimes find myself with little time. I'll try to post soon.

And hopefully, you won't mind me adding bits of dialogue for Urisk.
