I like to think that Network does, in fact, own a battle skirt. Like, it's some gadget left over from Nucleus's old stuff from some job or another, and he just has it in his closet or something. So how old is Network? Does he go to Halcyon High with the rest of us? And how does his mentor feel about him being on a team with a bunch of kids who have never really went through the kinds of horrors he has? I mean, she must know that regardless of our issues, no one on this team (to the best of my knowledge) has ever killed anybody. Do we know that he's done any of this, or to us is he just some kid who Nucleus took under her wing? @Tengri

He is eighteen, and he indeed goes to the Halcyon High. Also, his mentor actually approved the whole idea because the team is basically the closest thing to stable and healthy relationships he has outside Nucleus. In fact, nowadays the two of them aren't really close for a reason that would be mentioned later. And no, nobody knows what he did before becoming a protege, and it's not he wants to talk about this topic, either. For everyone outside Nucleus and some of her fellow superheroes, he is simply a kid that popped out of nowhere and started helping. Ah, also, his career as a sidekick started when he was fifteen or so.

Okay, so, I just. Wow. That's the best.^^ I mean, Alex was going to be wearing Dallas Cowboy (or lore wise, Lonestar City Steers) cheerleader shorts, but now it's all about that Combat Skirt. I guess I'll work it in that she's just wearing a take on Lodestar's costume rather than basically straight up wearing the same thing (which makes sense, considering the whopping, largely unattractive scar on basically the entire right side of her body).

Do we have a school uniform? Is this a public high school? We have a football team, anyone want to suggest colors and a mascot? Same for the uniform if we have one.

@Tengri There is already at least one established super hero team (like the real, grown up kind) in the city. Dunno if you've read any of my stuff, but the Guardians are mentioned throughout and to the best of my knowledge (you'd have to ask Joshie to be sure, of course, but within reasonable certainty) are considered cannon by this point. Was Nucleus attached to them, an independent, or perhaps even a member of another team? Because I'd be happy to have Alex have been the person Rob teamed up with a few times before the team all came together (in the relationships section in your character sheet), and it would make sense that, being the same age, if Nucleus is with the Guardians and Rob's with Nucleus then him and Alex and (if Ermine wants) Andrea all would have known each other from before.

I think this is a wonderful idea. In all honesty, I don't know much about the presetablished setting, so a quick guide would be nice. If anything, I am absolutely in love with my mentor being a part of the Guardians. I also like having some kind of a connection with other teen heroes. I believe, though, that since Robert - he hates having his name shortened in any kind - has social skills of a stone and no-nonsense attitude in general, he didn't have many friends

@TengriSo, could you tell us a bit more about Nucleus? Like what their powers are, what kind of hero they are, and general demeanor? Also, regarding the second relationship thing, I think Ian's the most obvious choice. He's probably on quite area heroes watchlists, namely Lodestar's I'd imagine, given his heritage.

So, I was reading through what we had so far for the initial team meet-up, and I got to this little bit:

Dragoon is a professional, usually wouldn’t have set off any kind of alarm, we’d only have heard about it after she was gone and everything was said and done. It was some kind of fancy lab, one of the ones with Grade A Scarborough Enterprises security systems, and she must have done something off script because she wound up getting boxed and having to fight her way out through robot security drones, made a lot of noise in the process.

And I'm just gonna go appropriate this because nobody watches out for bugs and Hana interns at some high-profile corporate lab. And also because it gives me a neat little excuse for the whole "I need to tell my mom and dad why I can't go home" problem via "a supervillain happened."

Do we have a school uniform?

The answer to the first one should be yes, given two characters have "School Uniform" as their civvie clothes.

Is this a public high school?

I vote Upscale Public, since that would have the right combination of elitism + degeneracy needed to support the hellish landscape of clique baiting, and a bunch of superheroes' wards.

I'm a fan of stupid wordplay, so I'm gonna offer "The Halcyon City Kingfishers", because tree kingfishers' subfamily name is halcyonidae.

And for colors I'm gonna suggest royal blue with white and gold. No particular reason; I just like those colors together.

Ian's going to try his best to turn Net/Robb into a normal teen, even if it kills him. Also, you didn't really answer my question of what Nucleus is like or if you want Ian to be the one he has to watch.

@GreyI'm cool with everything you said, plus I think Ian should be the guy who asked your identity, since he's actively trying to find out anyway. The direct approach should always be the first approach.

If you don't mind, I will be watching over you then. And Nucleus is much like Batman, if Batman also acted like a worried mother in his spare time. In short, they are like a very dysfunctional mother-son pair.
