Earth has been successfully monopolized by the International Energy Corridor District, the most prosperous district in the world. Every four years, two racers, one female and one male, from each of the seven nations is selected through intense competition to race in the World Grand Prix. The nation who owns the citizenship of the winner of the World Grand Prix is granted political leeway and exuberant amounts of sponsorship funding for the next four years. The races are deadly as well as convoluted with illicit behavior and cheating. Despite the enslaved desperation of each nation to win the World Grand Prix, Earth has not seen a war in several generations.

An area or project of slums and formidable low socioeconomic status, ostracized on the outskirts of Roue. Zero Light District is largely run by corrupt low-lifers and various organized criminal organizations. In vain attempts to contain and restrain the amoral and unscrupulous illegal activity, Marshal Law has been implemented at various civilian check stations between districts with similar status. Therefore, paying off the right person to smuggle parts and other wants or necessities into Zero Light District is far from being uncommon. However, the red tape only adds to the fraudulent behaviors and Zero Light District's inevitability to spiral downwards. For such reasons, the people living in Zero Light District are addicted to racing, seeing it's an out that isn't controlled by the likes of the military.

Stellar Initiative Power® (SIP) is the world's largest energy company located and in control of the International Energy Corridor District. The likelihood of a nation winning the World Grand Prix is based largely on having SIP as a sponsor. Therefore, it is not unusual for a nation to win several World Grand Prix in a row. However, having SIP's sponsorship doesn't necessarily guarantee anything.
