Hmmm. I would say they do need to be connected, and definitely connected to the user since the powers are well... powered by soul of the user. To be hinest that's one of the things I haven't thought about nearly as much. Also, these powers naturally won't affect normal people, no matter what.

Student ages range from 14-18. There have been incidents where the school has taken in younger, but they won't be able to go out into the field until they are fourteen.

Pure white souls don't happen until you've died with an extremely light grey soul. You haven't done anything that caused harm to another human being no matter the circumstances, in a human this would be an extremely light grey soul. This is because humans have the potential to slowly change the alignment of the souls through various actions. Therefore humans cannot have a pure white soul until they die, and angels avoid humans because they're pretentious.

This is a very interesting an idea. I'm thinking about a dual soul character but have a question before I do. You said that dual souls are like Jekyll and Hyde, but I was wondering do the dual souls have their own varying alignment? Using the example would Jekyll have a white or light grey soul and Hyde would have black or dark grey soul?

Yes. They're two separate entities so they would have different alignments. While in the castle you have to play them as two different people, since more often than not they are two sides of a coin and oppose each other. When outside they are one person who argue amongst each other. They can tag in and out for the body, but they still retain any damage done to it.

On another note, where would you guys like this to go? Free RP or Casual?

Doesn't particularly matter to me, I'm fine in both. Though I have to say I'm leaning more towards Free so I don't have to spend ~20-30 minutes putting together a post.

Also, I have two 'weird' abilities I'm thinking of, one of which I'm not gonna even attempt to explain since it involves parallel worlds and stuff, just wanna get an opinion.

-Air Manipulation: Not like blasting wind at people or anything, more like controlling air down to its smallest particles and cause reactions. Like turning Water Vapor into H2 and O and then using H2 and a lighter to start an explosion. Or taking the O and creating toxic Ozone.

I mostly RP in casual, but it doesn't really matter to me.

I like it. Your character would have to know a lot about chemistry to use it and not poison their teammates.

EDIT: I guess we're tied right now, for where we're going. I'll wait on posting it anywhere until the rest of us has voted.

I usually do a couple paragraphs. For me it wouldn't matter what you did with it.

Also, think of missions we can do that might involve character growth for your character. When you can, PM them to me and we can have arcs set up so this thing doesn't die easily.
