[IC] The Orphanage for the Unusual (Page 62)

Liz pick a few shirts and a couple of skirts. She hesitiated at choosing pants, but she might need them when the weather changed. With that she called Jason. "I will meet you at the register."

"Kay." He grabbed all he needed and followed her.

The housekeeper met them at the register with a frown. She paid for their purchases before sending them off.

"I think there's a food store down here." He pointed down. "You can get your candy."

"Do you need anything else?" LIz asked as she headed to the food store. She tried to decide what kind of candy she wanted.

"Yeah.... Food... And soda." Jason said laughing.

"umm... why do you need food. I mean the housekeeper feed us pretty well." Liz asked uncertainly.

"My own stash. You know, for a late night snack." He explained.

"Oh." Liz didnt really understand but she had never been much of a snacker. With a shurgged Liz studied the candy aisel. There were so many choice that she had no idea what she would like.

Jason grabbed two bags of beef jerky and a box of soda. Then over to the chips, then some candy. "I'm ready."

"Alright." Liz was dismayed. But she knew she couldn't keep Jason waiting. She picked three different candies hoping she would like atleast one of them.

"I would get these." Jason pointed to one on the bottom. "And get rid of the one on the top. Not a good one. I mean... Take your time... I can wait." Jason said.

"No you can't " Liz said with a laugh. "She made the changes Jason suggested and headed to the register while dialing.

Jason blushed and placed all of his stuff. "Oh and this, wait, Nevermind." Jason walked over to a shelf and put some fireworks back.

Liz was glad that the housekeeper hadn't see Jason pick up the fireworks. She didn't want him to get into the trouble. Which made her wonder what the housekeeper would do if they caused trouble.

Jason gt his stuff and went to Liz. "So what now?" He asked.

"I guess we sit and wait for the others." Liz replied with a shrug. She sat her bags by a bench and sat down.

Jason had a blank face. "Fine." He put the bags down and sat by her. "Think of an animal."

"An animal?" Liz asked. "Umm ok. Bird."

"More spisific." Jason said.
