The Rules
Not scary don't worry
RULES
1. Observe standard RPing rules. No godmoding, no-metagaming, stay in character, and stay within the storyline. If you want to make any major changes to the story, ask us first. Be polite to the other members. You know the drill.
2. Write in third person, past tense. Try to make your writing coherent and legible. Although there's no official word requirement, avoid one-liners when possible. 2b. Move the plot when you post! This is a “slice-of-life” RP, but please try and focus on forwarding the story with every post you make. We don’t want every other post here to be your characters leisurely having tea or monotonously deciding on what clothes to wear. We have a very dynamic world here that you can use to develop your characters.
3. You are not your character. Your character is not you. Please don't be offended because someone else's character was mean to yours. Likewise, please do not carry real-life arguments into the RPG world.
4. Character images need to be in an anime-style. Also no crossovers and no Mary/Gary Sue, please.
5. Try not to let anyone get left behind. If you and another person have posted back and forth several times, take a break and let the other players catch up. Of course, there may be times when only a few characters need to be involved in a particular scene; just don't get two days ahead of someone without giving them the chance to respond.
6. Stay active! Everyone gets busy from time to time, but if you’re going to be absent for a while just let us know. There’s no set amount of time allowed for before we start working around dormant players, but if you leave and stay gone without telling us, we’ll move on as we see fit and the plot will roll on without you. If you wish to come back after being naughty, we’ll talk.
7. This game is rated PG-13+, so just about anything goes as far as language, violence, sex, etc. However, you will need to observe standard guild rules should you feel that your posting is headed in this direction. Please read the Moderator posts concerning these topics.
8. Obviously this isn’t going to cover everything, so the GM and Co-GM’s reserve the right to make decisions as situations arise.
Thank you for reading the rules! Hope you have fun RPing with us!

The Lighthouse
The story about the girl in the lighthouse is one of the urban legends that roams Sol City, and is the origin behind the restaurant’s name.
Back in the days when the Old Harbor was the city’s main income, several ships came and went each day. The city was disease ridden, and many people had already died because of shortage of a cure. One dreadful night, a ship loaded with medicine for the city got caught up in a terrible storm. Because of the weather, most of the pier workers had retreated indoors, and there were no one to come to the ships aid. No one except a brave girl who lived in the lighthouse with her family. She had only watched her father steer the lights before, but when she heard the screams coming from the ship she rushed to the top, safely guiding the ship to shore. She saved thousands of lives, both on the ship and of those who needed the medicine. Though nobody knows her real identity, the legend is one that every citizen of Sol City has heard as a child.
The Lighthouse has a casual atmosphere, good food and occasionally features live music. It’s located within a 5-minute walking distance of the Old Starboard.

Western Shore
The city centre apartments and glittering lights of Sol City Centre Point are not always for everyone, Western Shore is the friendly neighbourhood where prices are lower, life is slower and still home to many mom and pop independent stores.
Larger homes, gardens and even a garage are the luxuries that abit longer walk into the city cost. It's a small price to pay for your own private bathroom!
SOUTHSIDE by Pilatus
Southside is where the majority of Sol-City’s industrial business is located with most of the prominent manufacturers, equipment dealers, contractors and the like based up and down the main thoroughfare of Southside Boulevard, one of the City’s oldest traffic arteries. Visiting this area usually means business. Freight trains run the tracks in all directions carrying raw and finished goods from the various large corporations stationed here. Don’t be surprised to find a traffic jam as a load of containers comes from the port or a large piece of machinery is being loaded up for transport.
Light Lane
Light lane, as locals calls it. The street has a small book shop, a ramen shop, and several other local oriental types of fast food restaurants. Most of the eating places aren’t bigger than one line of bar stools at the counter, with a tiny kitchen behind it. The street is highly casual, and is located about a 10-minute walk away from Central Point. The atmosphere is cozy and the paper lanterns that goes along the entire street is the origin of the nickname for the street.

Solaris County Regional Airport
Solaris County Regional Airport, opened and inaugurated on the 4th of September, 1951, services Sol City and the surrounding counties. Established as a result of the discovery of natural gas in the greater Sol area. The original airport, purchased from a private citizen by the Berry Petroleum Company, was a few flattened dirt strips on a dusty plain, used to take off and land crop dusters. However with the influx of entrepreneurs and BPC employees, the airport was enlarged and a terminal building added on neighboring purchased land.
Once gas fields had been depleted in the early 90s, Berry lost interest in the region and the utility was purchased by the Sol City Civil Aviation Comity. SCCAC promptly built new terminals, and with private investment formed Solaire (SCRA-S) from the purchased fleets and infrastructures of surrounding regional airlines, forming the largest airline in the region.
Though you didn't need me to tell you that, you could have just visited the airport museum.
Solaire continued to be a dominant player in regional flights well into the 80s, consistently preforming well on a quarterly basis. Partnering up with a smaller, Solaris County based aviation firm, the company petitioned congress with air traffic control of regional airspace. However plans were quickly derailed with the entry of a rival petition from Pan-American and their junior company, Daedalus. The smaller initial partner with Solaire withdrew from the deal as a response to unfair business practices from the PanAm subsidiary.
Solaire eventually lost the battle for control of regional airspace to Daedalus, and with leaked plans to try and buy out their smaller partner, they lost them too. Bad soon turned to worse, in the late 90s the company had to default on debt it owed to the bank, and had to hand over its outer-city terminal to the bank. Subsequently the property was purchased by Daedalus, who too was hemorrhaging money until that point but swiftly recovered.
Accusations of foul play flew around but no court cases ever materialized.
Modern day Solaire (SCRCH-S) is a shadow of its previous self, operating half an hour out of the city and mainly servicing the industrial estate nearby, as a cargo operator. Occasionally handling budget passengers.
Media & Radio
While the new wave smash hit the Buggles might have mused that “Video Killed the Radio Star” back in 1979 your humble chronicler would have to disagree with their catchy yet flawed conclusion as when it comes Sol City in the year 2017 Radio has never been stronger. It is not a stretch to say our great city has the most diverse and vivacious broadcast programing in the continental United States; who needs the complexities of streaming when you have these great curators to gift you with great musical experiences again and again and again:

Occasionally local artists of those persuasions will host a set or two.
While the programs listed above are just a slight sampling of the music stations, plenty of other stations offer more talk oriented programs that deal with sports, celebrities, offer psychic readings, and so on.
It would be prudent to mention that the large majority of Sol City’s Radio stations and broadcast towers are owned by French entertainment conglomerate Visionetworks and most the of the programs listed above and some that are not are broadcast from the historic Visonetworks’ building in Central Point. However, with founder and majority shareholder Gaétan Cyrille in critical condition after a life-threatening stroke in late 2016 at the age of 76 many financial analysts predict that his company might face a buyout from major Sol City players such as Vencorp International or Huang Incorporated by the end of the current fiscal year.
The centre of everything, Central point houses some of the best boutiques, shops and best night spots including the famous play houses and night spots that give Sol city its young and active reputation.
Take in a show, have a few drinks in the bars and maybe sing some karaoke in the city centre bars.

Swan Songs: by aladdin_sane
Located in our beautiful historic district Swan Songs has been Sol’s number one provider of records and tapes since 1976.
“My father Isaac was always adamant that a healthy city is artistically vibrant. And at least to me music is the most important of the Arts” says Rupert Kingsley 44 who inherited the business after his father at the age of 87 retired with his wife Mandy to the sunny shores of Florida in 2004.
Rupert and his staff have curated a large collection of music from all genres; they also offer great selections from both mainstream staples and more eclectic artists. While they do not carry everything ever recorded Rupert ensures us that Swan Songs is always adding new stock and the store would be more than happy to appraise your collection if you wish to sell.
Throughout the years, the shop has offered more than just albums; they have provided a spot for our more musically inclined residents to congregate and perhaps perform. Rupert prides himself on supporting local bands and the windows of the shop are normally plastered with ads for upcoming gigs or “musician wanted” posters. Swan Songs also sell albums, EPs, and singles from local bands and artists; some these great local selections include Lyclene obscurilinea from the post-punk outfit Louis-Pierre Gravel, Bottle Rocket the latest release from the darkwave band Kremlin, and the somber new album from M33 entitled L'Estaque, Melting Snow Once or twice a month the store will transform itself into a live venue for a local or touring band to perform.
“Newcomers to the city are always asking about the local scene and what bands they should check out” says Kingsley “Our helpful staff are always happy to point those folks in the right direction.”
So if you are looking to expand your musical horizons you would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not visiting Swan Songs. They are located on 412 W 18th street next to Café Clover and Lawful Good Gaming.

Passenger flights all over the region are regularly available, cargo flights to destinations near and far. If you need it moving big or small, local or to the other side of the world we can help make it happen.

They are saving souls and rocking out in accordance to Christian principles. They play Christian Rock, Christian Hip Hop, and Gospel.
95.5 YAWP - Oluf Holst is the demented soul that defiles the ears of his listeners by playing some of the darkest music this side of the River Styx. He is cruel, he is crass, and what he plays is not trash. Genres played are Death Metal, Deathgrind Black metal, Blackgaze, and Post-metal
14.3 KLIQ: Three generations of local rappers Lil Hammer, Young Ice, and Masta Blasta curate one Sol City’s most diverse listening experiences. They Plays Modern Rap and 80's/90's West Coast Rap
10.3 Razzle-Jazzle - Rupert Kingsley of Swan Song records DJs some obscure and eclectic Blues and Jazz records from his personal collection every weekend, while his close friend Napoleone Locatelli handles the show during the week.
The Primary medical center, that some of the finest doctors, nurses, surgeons, physicians, pediatricians, and other medical specialists calls home. Sol Memorial takes pride in helping their patients and strive for quality service. For the ones who have been in this place, they can vouch that there's nothing to be afraid of or worry about being in the care of the staff.
501 Club by Pilatus
Are you having a bad day? Would you like to make it worse? Has your band ever played behind chicken wire? We didn’t think so. Ever seen a pool table with no sticks? We didn’t think so either. The Fight-or-Run…err or rather the prestigious 501 Club is located in Southside right on county Route 501. The loyal clientele here, at least those that are not locked up or dead would love to welcome you to an evening of physical contest! There will probably be more of them than you so be ready for a hearty welcome.
Name: “Lady” Victoria Darya Romus “vika” "Lady De Winter"
Age: 23
Appearance: Once athletic like her half sister she suffered from a rare condition, though she survived this has left her weaker and noticeably her skin tone like fresh snow and is a fair bit shorter than her sister. She relies on walking stick to walk and is fairly slim build.
Longer pale blonde haired with a detailed platt weaved in (like deneris Targerian, Got) , the pale skin and lighter hair can be a little bit disconcerting to some people, shares matching grey eyes with her sister. They both look like related but not identical.
Height: 4;9 to 5’0
Weight: 95 Pounds
Likes:
Warm weather but not heat waves Geeky fun Tea Loyal to family Independence Laptop and digital in general. Sweet tooth
Dislikes:
Athletes General fitness freaks etc Cold weather Those who treat her as helpless Intense sunlight, she burns easily. Having to rely on others too much if she can help it. People staring Overly spicey foods Betrayal and false friends. Those who treat her like she is helpless despite needing help at times.
Zodiac Sign: Aires
Special Talent: able to perform a near pitch perfect lara croft impression and has a knack with fixing a wide range of digital devices that at times defies logic.
Profession: Works from home, App and digital coding, also supported by a allowance from her father as her illness left her unable to work full time.
Bio/Personality: Born to Vesarian after he left Maria , her mother was killed in a accident when she was young and seeking a redemption for leaving his first daughter he vowed to never let down his second.
Her life was fairly normal to begin with bar her father being away alot as part of his job and often was in care of a nanny or other relatives around half the year.
She was a normal confident teanager before the condition hit her and was a promising track athlete, even attracting attention of the county scouts. All that was to come to end when she began to weaken, her skin went pale as snow and soon things looked dire.
Her father who had made his money in the shipping industry working on jobs regardless of the moral aspects and high on the financial reward soon plowed every resource he had into finding a cure for the condition and rapidly made a large dent in his fortunes he had earned.
The recovery took several years in which she was often stuck at home or hospitals and soon began learning to code apps and other digital systems. Plenty of time to learn she soon mastered it and found she enjoyed it, also meaning she could work from home and avoid some of the stares she got in public.
Though she began to regain her confidence she never was going to regain her skills and fitness she had. She eventually regained contact with her half sister and the two soon formed a strong bond once they got to know each other.
She ended up at shine city after her father's business arrangements when exposed in a documentary on armaments shipments to Africa. With less friendly attention growing back in England she decided to move in with her sister and start afresh over in Shine City where she was just another young woman.
Her title stems from her father, much like her sister but the family wealth and estate was spent and gone several generations ago and all their current wealth was built by her father.
Her personality and confidence slowly began to recover after her illness and also earning her own money after years of being supported by her father or others. Though still needing some support she has began to regain her independence and moving in with her sister was the best option available. and though slow to trust and warm is very loyal once her friendship is earned.
Working in coding and digital systems has meant she can escape the office and work from home, not tied to a county she was able to carry on her work even when forced to move countries. Both her father and half sister have been very protective of the youngest member of the family, despite her desire for independence she has long realised she does need some support day to day.

In a soft English accent the young woman spoke as she buckled I to the Taxi. It would be good to get a social event and have some fun.
"Swan Songs, jazz evening please."
Victoria was in a rush, the taxi was stuck in nose to tail traffic and the city traffic was just getting worse and worse as time seemed to drag on. The trip was expensive, though her half sister had left early before she got back after her flight.
Despite being close sisters they could never quite get right any idea of a unified scedule, both where too independent and sometimes had small arguments over it. All normal between sisters but she was not exactly normal, looking in the reflection in dark window her pale snow like skin, extreme pale blonde and done up in a intricate and rather time intensive serris of platts.
She has been "Normal" until she caught a rare illness, though she survived it had taken a heavy cost, 4'9, slight build and skin more like pale snow, a cane too completed the ensemble. Normal was not a word that described Victoria Darya Romus.
Dislikes: - Politics - Modern Art - Social Media - Relationships - Surprises - Video Games
Zodiac Sign: Scorpio
Special Talent: Taught herself how to count cards in Blackjack
Profession: Deputy US Marshall, newly assigned to Sol City District
Bio/Personality: Paige comes from a stone-cold conservative family from Delta City in Central Florida. Her father being a minister and her mother a lawyer and a judge, she was imprinted with an immense sense of morality since she was old enough to comprehend the meaning of discipline. To her the value of one’s word is akin to a blood oath even to the most trivial of arrangements: Give her a statement and she expects the truth. Make an appointment and you damn well better show up on time. She takes her job extremely seriously, but has mellowed some in her years of experience- a sharp edge that has been weathered to deal with the streets. She's learned how to deftly walk the lines between justice, proof and truth knowing the difference in being a law-enforcement officer and lawman (or woman).
Currently, Paige finds herself transferred to the Sol City district where a combined effort between Customs, ATF and the Marshall Service are being prepared for a large operation to counter the importation of drugs and weapons into the city. Paige was selected as she recently participated in an ongoing identical operation in her Florida home district. However, her transfer was amid some controversy. After lengthy investigations and multiple arrests, Paige shot dead a well-connected weapons dealer in a sting operation. A man that could have provided further information to aid in the operation were he allowed to be interrogated. He was known to have participated and set up multiple hits against officers and witnesses alike as well as being point on multiple overseas weapons deals. While many were privately happy to hear of his termination, it was decided that Paige had to be transferred rather than punished. Sol City was a natural choice.
The exact details of the encounter are known by Paige alone as she encountered the man without backup. In her testimony of the events, she simply stated that he pulled a gun on her and she fired in self-defense. There were no witnesses.

Much Ado about Winter
Friday evening to Saturday Morning
It only took a few hours but centre Point was blocked by heavy concrete barriers, sand filled trucks painted in bright colours like presents and the stalls, supplies and stands of the holiday party where assembled.
It was a tradition the Mayor had started, a winter party, the drink was free, the food was free and City Hall thrown open with a large dance floor and yet more food, drink and prosecco on tap.
Manton times they had tried to complain about the coat but the event had become a firm favorite over the holiday season and the annual costume party was always a fun one to attend.
City Hall decked out in bright colours, trees and a large dance floor set up sourounding by many dozens of tables, snugs and sofa sets. Local bands and others booked, the venue was no stranger to big events but this was one of the years highlights. The walk across the lawn was lit by lights. Holiday scenes and little grottos, spot lights shined on the City Hall and made it stand out among all other buildings.
Centre Point was closed to all traffic, stalls, small stages, venders with food, drink, knick macks and presents clustered all over. Everything was ready as a winter sun set over the city skyline and the lights twinkled lighting up the bright centre Point to a while new level of excess and shining beacon drawing all to the party.
Workers put the mayor's finishing touch up this year, mistletoe and lots of it. Some thought it was abit silly but the world could always use some fun.
The stage was set for the party. The food was ready, the drink was by the crate and from above one would see a great glow in the city centre, a shining beacon of Sol Cities success.

9. Second characters are allowed. You have to be a active posted, both male and female allowed. . You cannot RP with self solely. Please PM or Tag a GM or Co GM to confirm things if you have any questions regarding this and genders allowed at time.
Thank you for reading the rules! Hope you have fun RPing with us!

Daedalus Airlines float aircraft can land and take off from the southside of the River Park away from the highway bridges that connect both sides of the riverfront landing with downtown.
Do you wish to mingle with the uppercrust of the uppercrust? Well tie a string around your finger and pray that a yet to be heard from rich uncle dies leaving you his untold billions. A perhaps apocryphal city myth states engraved on the cornerstone of the House of Lords is the following phrase, “If you have to ask the price of our apartments…you certainly can’t afford them”. While, it the authenticity of the aforementioned quotation is questionable the sentiment is at least rings true as the last apartment sold cost the buyer (a Saudi royal) around $82 Million.
One of the largest buildings in the city standing at 55 stories tall this behemoth of a building towers over even the other luxury apartment buildings in Riverside. Needless to say security is impeccable rivaling that of the armies of some small nation states and it is not uncommon to see stern faced guards armed with automatic weapons patrolling the premises. Rumor has it that even the old gray haired doorman is a black belt in some form of martial arts. So would be rabble rousers beware you are not getting in the House of Lords without an express invitation from some the building esteemed tenants.
It is in this building where the tabloid infamous Perfect Posse reside squandering away their fortunes on all the lavish vices money can buy.

He is currently Genres played are 70’s Glam (Glitter) Rock, New wave, Krautrock, Proto-Punk, Classic Punk, Post-Punk, Dark wave, No wave, Cold wave, and Gothic Rock.
94 Country - the so-called “Chinese Cowboy” country music artist Zhou Fen Fan guides listeners through Country’s past, present, and future. Genres played are Contemporary Country, Bluegrass, Outlaw Country, Western Music, Folk Music, Traditional Country, Rockabilly, and Alternative Country
929 The Bull - Hadrian Ellis keeps Sol City rocking all-night long…despite the noise complaints. Genres played are Classic Rock.
S.O.A.P 31.6 - Pastor Jim and his wife Mary-Sue of the Aspen Heights Fellowship host S.O.A.P (an acronym for Scripture Observation Application Prayer) a contemporary Christian music station.

Final Round Armory by RoccanIronclad
An old ware house building that Milo was able to get converted to be able to both hold a decent apartment sized living space and his workshop/showroom/gym/office, it isn't the prettiest place but it is exactly what he had wanted and was worth the money he had spent to get it. The walls of the shop are covered in basic tools and tongs of all sizes, the two forges in the build are a mobile gas forge that he keeps stored as a backup and the large coal forge that he uses most often. the Back wall is the only one that has any pieces on it, he has large sword hanging on the wall and well as a few knives set on a rack.

This applies to RPG Guild, Discord and any other platforms that may be used.
4. Primary character images need to be in an anime-style.
8. Second characters are allowed. You have to be an active player and both male and female are allowed. You cannot RP with yourself, PERIOD. Please PM or Tag a GM or Co GM to confirm things if you have any questions regarding this and genders allowed at the time. WE WILL BE WATCHING THIS CLOSELY. 9b. Some characters may be "grandfathered-in" from Chapter One as the GMs see fit. Again, we will be watching this closely, particularly if you seem to post heavily with NPCs and not other players.
9. Obviously this isn’t going to cover everything, so the GM and Co-GM’s reserve the right to make decisions as situations arise.
In general the RP is using a permissive rule system, as long as events are not too likely to effect other players or alter the dynamics of the RP heavily. These actions do not require permission.
Events are rough backdrops and scenes and open to player interpretation within reason. If you are unsure about the application, PM a GM or Co GM to make sure, and consult with those player or players who may be effected before hand. If a secret or suprise action this is permissable via PM or discord etc.
This is to maximise creative options and make it open and easy to join and take part in RP.
Thank you for reading the rules! Hope you have fun RPing with us!
Current gender balance
Pending male : Pending female
Please consider this when planning a new character. Gender status open

The Lighthouse has a casual atmosphere, good food and occasionally features live music and bands.

Highlights include the Shwarma Palace, small family run with best Shwarma in the city!

He is currently Genres played are 70’s Glam (Glitter) Rock, New wave, Krautrock, Proto-Punk, Classic Punk, Post-Punk, Dark wave, No wave, Cold wave, and Gothic Rock.

Rescue Services
SoL City Volunteer Rescue Squad
Founded 53 years ago, the SoL City Volunteer Rescue Squad is the active emergency response source for 911 calls. EMTs and paramedics are on call 24 hours a day, working in shifts from 8 to 12 hours. They respond immediately to highway, residential, industrial, and water emergencies with two ambulances and a rescue boat, towed by truck and trailer to the marina. They work in tandem with the local hospital, fire house, and Sol City police force to make sure situations are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible. The brave men and women that serve are trained in First Aid and CRP, and have EMT certification. Housing and amenities (washing machines, a kitchen, bathrooms, changing rooms, and a rec area) are provided for volunteers who want to stay for prolonged periods of time. Some even choose to live in the building in exchange for weekend shifts. From Officers and Technicians to Paramedics and EMTs, the SCVRS is the backbone of emergency search, rescue, and transportation of Sol City. They're just a phone call away.
