No not at all. Never misses is more of a hit where he intends to hit kind of thing. Any kind of interference of course can change things. He can lead a target of course but sudden change in direction or unexpected movements can cause him to miss. Especially with something in this particular scenario where you can see him notch the arrow and know that hes about to fire. You are prepared to dodge and aren't being caught by surprise.

autohitting in a fight would be godmode and unacceptable.

Anything realistic. I've come up with interesting ways to mitigate damage that are believable. I obviously don't want to disclose those right now, but....

I haven't been enjoying Arena rping as much as more collaborative non-competetive approaches to combat, so I'm going to have my character take this hit, besides, I can't see him dodging the next arrow realistically.
