She'll be sitting on the sidelines for the first round or so, using her Keen Eye ability and Darkvision racial trait to learn more about her enemies before committing to an action which almost sets fire to a teammate. :p

That's what allows her to precisely target body parts when aiming, but she still needs to actually aim herself.

Unfortunately her speed of 8 meant she wasn't fast enough to act quicker than Arton with his speed of 3, so he managed to take out the undead soldier she fired at before her arrow could hit it, leaving the arrow flying towards Rio instead. I take it that this was due to the number of things she was doing simultaneously (Light Step to launch into the air, aiming, channelling mana, launching arrow compared to just swinging a sword.)

Speed is only a single factor in what happened. Reaction was the main factor.

Every character pretty much reacted the same. Each one of them threw themselves into combat without a second thought. The only one of you that didn't was Rio. He watched his teammates moves and acted accordingly. In this situation Arwyn assumed that Arton would hold the monster back instead of destroy it. In a situation with where everything was going bad, Rio showed the perception to notice. And in this RP, everything can and will go bad. Luckily this time things worked out. From an outsiders perspective though, it looked perfectly coordinated

Ha, I was just reading up. Will post after I get back from work in six hours or so.

On another note, goosh I forgot how awful I am with action prose.

Every character pretty much reacted the same. Each one of them threw themselves into combat without a second thought.

It's a bit difficult to coordinate the different movements since one second is spread out across multiple posts that can be written in multiple days. One post might want to react to the middle of the post before it and hoo boy that's difficult to pull off. At least the enemy is constant every "turn".

It's ok, though, I think we'll find a comfortable middle ground somewhere.... Unless you folks want to make the battles a live posting thing, or something.

So the parts of my posts where I noted Arwyn scanned the enemies for details using her heightened senses, and stepped back to take a moment to assess the situation before acting on Jack's advice to use fire didn't count?

In that case it's best to actually wait until all the other players have posted before acting, so as to base your actions off of theirs, rather than posting first and placing yourself at the mercy of the situation being changed before your actions are taken into account.
