Siblings in the apocalypse?

Thought it might be fun to do a siblings survive the apocalypse sorta deal? Even if they aren’t blood siblings, maybe one found the other sick/injured years ago and they kind of adopted each other. Or maybe they are blood siblings. Whatever.

Maybe they’re trying to get somewhere? Maybe they’re building or have built a “tavern” of sorts and have to defend it? Idk.

No zombies. Please no.
Apocalypse could be due to nuclear fallout (fallout 4 ish) environmental collapse, war? Maybe there’s a societal collapse of some kind?

Maybe there are “cities” but the regimes running them are corrupt and hunger games ish?

Throw some ideas at me!

wooooot. I'm down. Thoughts on how it happened? And how far gone are we, would you say? Like is there just like, rampant looting in the streets, or is everything pretty bare by now?

And these siblings of ours. Actual siblings or adopted siblings? And what do they do? Are they scavengers or do the kinda run an outpost of some kind? Or are they trying to get somewhere?

I'm cool with a fallout of some sort. Maybe the government tried unleashing some biochemical weapon or tried wiping out the interwebs and all hell broke loose. I'm down for whatever, cool without zombies too.

I like the idea of a homemade, with our characters trying their hardest to protect it. Lots of possibilities for arcs.

Are our characters early to late teens or were you thinking young adults in their twenties or a wider range of ages?

Fallout sounds good, whether it’s radiation or something more exotic and fabricated like a poison that got out of control or something.

As for age of characters, I’m not sure....it might be interesting to have a range. I thought it might be interesting to play a kid. Maybe I’ll play two, one really young and one older, maybe mid twenties or early thirties? But I think it can range.

Maybe for this RP since there’d Be a couple of us, instead of a sibling pair we have kind of a slapdash adopted family that sticks together and have found each other over the years.

I mean we could have it where our characters are siblings, kind of separates us from other fallout roleplays because most roleplays I think have a group of misfits that kind of make up a makeshift family. But that's just my two cents, I'm down for whatever as long as we get loads of character development!

Hey!

Sorry I forgot to sub on this account. Yes, still interested. I am up for w/e the group wants.

Reading through, I think it would be cool to do like a Shameless sort of family dynamic. Oldest sibling is essentially raising/responsible for family of half brothers/sisters from dad’s different relationships.

@Rabidporcupine sorry mate, I’m not looking to manage a group larger than 3 people (players, that is). Maybe you and tenma tendo can do something together? It’s not like my idea is original, feel free to steal haha.

I don’t know what shameless is, but I kinda like the idea of having half siblings sprinkled around, for the sake of diversity or something. And the oldest is trying to loop everyone together. Tastes like Maximum Ride, almost...

Anyway I’d love to play the youngest and then one of the middle aged ones. Older one is male and the younger one...possibly female.

Could do a family of brothers. Makes up a dynamic where everyone could want to possibly be a leader. Lots of budding heads, a whole lot of "you ain't my dad!" kinda deal.

Could be indeed! Though i say everyone do what they want and if it turns out that way, cool, if not, cool.

Let’s say this family is called.....hmmm Black? Winter? What’s their last name? Open to other suggestions as well.
