A Star Wars Story

It is a dark time for the galaxy. It has been nine months since the destruction of Yavin IV by the Death Star and the defeat of the REBEL ALLIANCE. The emboldened and vengeful GALACTIC EMPIRE has begun a series of purges and mass arrests of what remains of the Rebellion throughout the galaxy, thousands perishing in summary executions, tortured for information about a Rebellion they know nothing about, or shipped off to labor camps on far-flung planets.

Now, the Empire has a new enemy - the HUTT CARTEL, which, perceiving recent Imperial actions as a threat to their sovereignty, has begun a guerilla war to push Imperial presence out of their territory. In response, the Empire has seized several spice mines owned by the Hutts and begun to form a blockade to encompass nearly all the borders of Hutt Space; most estimates give at most three more months until the Empire’s blockade is complete and no living thing comes in or out of Hutt territory. Due to the millions of tonnes of the material at stake, many have taken to calling the recent tensions the beginning of the so-called SPICE WARS.

You have been arrested by Imperial troops on Tatooine for acts of subversion and treason against the Empire, real or contrived, awaiting transfer to a maximum security prison nearer to the core. However, rumors among your fellow prisoners tell of a bloodlusted JEDI, driven to madness after the loss of his brothers at Yavin, determined to strike down every stormtrooper or Hutt henchman that dares cross him. Some of you at the Tatooine holding facility eagerly await his arrival, while others fear that he might kill the prisoners as well.

This is a galaxy where no one trusts each other anymore, after all.

Hi guys! In Star Wars - Dark Era, the roleplay centers around a group of convicts on the run from the Galactic Empire. You could be a former member of the Rebellion, a henchman on Jabba the Hutt’s payroll, or an ordinary denizen of the galaxy caught up somehow in this mess. This roleplay will not share the same optimism and idealism Star Wars stories usually have; more morally grey themes will be tackled by the players. Will you keep on fighting for a long-dead Rebellion? Would you bomb a cantina full of innocent people to throw Jabba’s bounty hunters off your trail? Would you betray your comrades to save your life from the wrath of the Empire? The moral code players will have will not be so clear-cut, and sacrifice and corruption will play a huge part in this roleplay.

Anyone up?
