WH40K Vassal is a program that lets you play WH40K tabletop over the internet with other people.

This is Vassal the base software:
http://www.vassalengine.org/

And here is where you get the Warhammer 40k module for vassal:
http://vassal40k.tripod.com/

You still need the rulebook and the codex of any army you plan to use but that is it.

Fallen Muse and I have already had an interesting game using this over the internet and I am up for anyone else wanting to play or wanting to learn more about this.

Monday I should be available for a game if someone wants. i generally play fluffy casual lists instead of crunch lists aimed at winning because those are no fun for anyone.

Anyway ya i prefer fluffy lists though often enjoy making lists that are just silly.

The only thing I can complain about with this is that it doesn't have the new stuff added to the Tau codex, but as the only really new thing I actually use is the Fireblade, it's a minor issue.

EDIT: Ah, Battlescribe, it's like Army Builder without the hilariously bad price tag. I got pretty much my entire club hooked on Battlescribe after getting the store owner to endorse it. I hope the guy working on a file set specifically for our club gets it done soon as the files most of us are using right now have a lot of redundancy and errors.

I honestly never use Tau so I did not notice. I am waiting for battlescribe to let me directly export files to vassal as well.

This weekend Fallen Muse and myself are going to be played a 5,000 point game if anyone is interested in watching and learning a little.

The battle will be 5,000 points, non-apocalypse at the moment with Imperium forces lead by a Sisters of Battle convent facing off against a varied Chaos force lead by a host of Chaos Space Marines.
