he watched her "and their reason for you to come here was why?"he asked. "and i cant believe they didnt send an escort with you" he said more for himself then to her. "its not safe traveling alone even for someone who could turn into a fierce creature" he said to her.

kali frowned and looked down. "im sorry if im boring you" she said and got up. "enjoy your evening" she told him walking towards the dance floor.

"They do not care. They have their son. I'm just someone they can marry off."
She looked away again.

James stopped her.
"You're not boring. Do not ever say that."
He had grabbed her hand, holding it in his, to keep her from leaving.

kali sighed as she was forced to stop. she looked at their hands and pulled hers from his. "seems as of you dont want to really talk to me" she says " so what am i suppose to think?" she asked him.

"something about...finding a suitor...."
She trailed off. She fought a tear.

James sighed.
"Do not think badly of yourself. It's just...been a long a long time since anyone asked about where I came from. most have not cared enough to ask."
He hugged her for a moment.

" so your not promised to anyone?" he asked with a relief flooding over him. he let go of her hand and took off his jacket and placed it over her shoulders. "so your town miss elizabeth what is that like? favorite spot to go and hide out?" he asked her

kali drew in a breath as he hugged her but his scent was intoxicating. he smelled good to her and she pulled back and took a few steps back. she bit her lower lip and glanced around.

Elizabeth shook her head.
"no...I am not."
She sighed a bit. She blinked when he put his jacket around her shoulders like that. She looked at him and frowned when he asked about her town. She hesitated.
"It's mostly my own species. It's a pretty...isolated place. There isn't too many places for me to hide out. It is an island town. The only thing that I ever enjoyed there was seeing the dolphins as they passed by. Sure, roses grow along the houses, but they aren't that pretty."

James blinked. He frowned with worry. He stepped closer.
"Are you alright, Kali?"

"i'll make a note that you arent fond of roses" he sayd "how about wildflowers?" he asked "like those better?" he asked her. "with no escort you must find this freedom nice" he says to her as he sat back down.

kali looked at him briefly "i..uh" she glanced around "i need to go" she says to him" she said she looked slightly scared. she walked through the dancing couple as she made to the other side of the room.

"My parents are not here. That is what matters to me."

kali made her way back the man her brother introduce her too at the door
"excuse me" she looked frightened "can you show me too..." she blacked out and fell to the floor.

Elizabeth blinked. She was surprised. She shrugged a bit.
"I...I suppose."
She blinked again when he asked her to dance again, offering his hand again. She hesitated, taking a deep breath.
"....alright."
She stood up, her hand in his.

Eric gasped. He called for help.
James arrived when Kali blacked out. He gasped and picked her up. A maid would help him tend to her, to make sure that she was ok.

he smiled and looked at her "why do you hesitate?" he asked "its not the first time i noticed it" he said as he led her back into the mansion and into the ballroom. he looked at the table they were at and didnt see his sister. he glanced around the ballroom for her but didnt see her. "shit" he swore under his breath and looked to Elizabeth.

kali had a panic attack. she hadnt had one for years. she thought she had control over them and was able to stop. them from happening. when she couldnt find her brother it worsened. when she passed out she hit her head on the floor. she felt as if she was floating.

Elizabeth sighed.
"I'm...not used to all this."
She blinked when she sensed something was wrong. She looked at brandon and saw the look on his face. She heard what he said. She shifted not a wolf and sniffed the air a bit, after noticing his sister was missing. Then, she changed back.
"She's upstairs."
She pointed upstairs.

James did his best to make sure that Kali was ok. He frowned. He wanted her to wake up. He was very worried. He truly cared.

he looked at her then looked up where she pointed "thats amazing" he says "we are going to talk about this and your going to tell me how you figured that out" he says smiling at her. he took her hand and kissed it "do you want to come with me?" he asked her. he didnt want to leave her alone but understood if she said she stay put.

kali moved her hand. she felt someone beside her. she thought it was her brother and moved her head as she groaned. her head hurt some. "brandon?" she says in a quiet voice

She actually chuckled slightly. She blushed bright red when he kissed her hand like that.
"um...i'll go with you."
She would follow him upstairs.

James took a breath.
"It's James. You blacked out in the ballroom. I had your brought to your room to make sure you were ok. A maid helped."
He still frowned with worry.

His widen widen as he heard her laugh. "beauitful" he said as as he took her hand and walked with her through the room and up the stairs to find his sister. he didnt know why she was up here.

"james?" she said a bit confused as she opened her eyes. "where js Brandon?" she asked frightened. her eyes darting around the room. she started breath harder "where am i?" she said.

Elizabeth blinked. She glanced away. but, she followed him to where James and Kali were.

James tried to calm her down.
"Calm down, please. It is alright. You are in your' assigned room. A maid helped me bring you here. I was worried about you. Your brother is downstairs in the ballroom but I am sure it will not be very long before he comes up here to check on you. You are safe."

she moved away curling her knees up to her chest. "safe" she says as her as she was able to fain control of her feelings and controlled her breathing a bit more.

he gave her a smile and kissed her hand again as he walked to the door. he knocked before walking in. he saw his sister curled up on the bed and he let go of Elizabeth's hand and ran ovsr to her pushing James from the bedm. he looked his sister over and placed a hand on both side her face 'Kali what happened?" he questioned her

Kali looked at her brother and it registering that it was brandon and she threw her arms around him and started to cry. brandon hugged her back. "what the hell happened?" he asked but more for james to answer then her.

Elizabeth blushed. She followed him. She gasped when James was pushed out of the way and ran to where brandon was, hugging his sister. She frowned, worried.

James gasped. He groaned when he got up off the floor.
"She blacked out on the ballroom floor after running away for some reason. I think she panicked over something."

"panic attack I assume"said the maid.
