Sylvia waves back to Mica as he greets them. When Ferric and Pylia joked a bit about her being gone, Sylvia gave a hesitant laugh and she apologized again, "Sorry! Sorry. I did kinda get swept up in everything," When Ferric asked about Shortfang, she answered, "Ah, yes! Yes he is! In fact, we thought we'd stop by to introduce you two to each other," She then proceeded with the introductions, "Ferric, Mica, this is Shortfang. He's going to be helping out and protecting the caravan,"

"Hello!" Mica said cheerfully. Ferric seemed less enthused but nods. "Well, if he's got your approval, I shan't many any complaints about it. Now then, while I'm still doing repairs to the cart, our shop is open for business too. If there's anything you need, I'm sure we have it! We sell all sorts of oddities, equipment, and supplies here." Mica nods and chirps up. "Enchantment?" Ferric seemed to remember something and looks to you. "Ah right, I did mention that when we get back to camp, my boy and I can look at a few of the items you've gotten. Consider it a free service for rescuing us from those goblins. If you have anything you'd want to sell or check, just give it to me and my boy and we can appraise or identify it for you."

At the mention of the free identifying, Sylvia smiled and answered "Oh! Thank you very much, Ferric!" She then pulled out the rusted ring that Mica had pulled out of her backpack earlier and she put on the counter, informing him, "I believe this little ring needs some identification,"

She was very curious about the ring, and what it could do. What kind of enchantment did this ring have?

“Alright then. You know what to do son.” Mica took the ring into his hands, holding a clear pearl. The ring floated in his hands as the pearl glowed a light blow color. Ferric put on some strange sort of headgear as he looked at the item. “Hmm... Seems here this ring is enchanted with a sort of... Water walking spell. Or rather... It’s an unusual enchantment, but I reckon if you wear this ring, you’ll have no trouble moving in water, whether it’s waist deep or if you’re swimming.” Mica finished identifying the ring and nods happily. Ferric hands it back to you. “Of course it doesn’t work immediately. Needs attunement! Wear it for an hour or so and you’ll start to feel the magical effects.”

At the sound of water walking, Sylvia could not help but immediately picture herself as a ninja running across the water. She smiled and she commented, almost excitedly, "Oh, that's cool! Thank you, Ferric!" When she received the ring once more, put it on her finger instead of just putting it in the backpack.

After the ring was identified, she asked Ferric, "I don't suppose you have any staves or maces for Pylia, and any armor for Shortfang, that we could purchase?"

“Staves and maces hmm? I think I might have something up your alley.” Ferric went to the cart and looked through his chest. He came back with a hefty looking flanged mace, almost as long as Ferric was tall. Which was quite large for a weapon. Pylia tried to handle it however she was having some notable difficulty. “This one might be a bit too heavy for me. Don’t suppose you have something more... Wooden?” Ferric shook his head as Pylia handed back the heavy mace. “I’m afraid not. I mean, next best thing is a few birch staves we use for Spears and such. They’re sturdy enough I would think.” Pylia decided to go look at the staves for a bit while Ferric turned to Shortfang.

“I’ll be honest, none of my gear was made with kobolds in mind. That being said, I do have a set of halfling studded leather. It’ll take a bit of fitting, but give me an hour and I could make sure your friend here is comfortable with it.” Ferric looked over to you as he took an abacus off his data me to calculate prices. “Let’s see... Fifty gold ought to over the cost of the armor and alteration. Normally I’d charge 75 for the armor alone, but I appreciate what you’ve all done for me, so I’ll sell at cost.” Shortfang seemed excited to try out some new armor and looked at you giddily. “Shortfang look great yeah? Like warrior!”

Sylvia nodded to Ferric, and she answered "That sounds reasonable. Thank you again, Ferric," She then handed five platinum pieces to Ferric. When Shortfang giddily made his comment, she smiled back as she answered him, "Yeah, definitely! The bad guys will definitely have a hard time getting to you,"

Seeing Shortfang giddy like this kind of reminded her of a kid dressing up as a superhero. It was kinda adorable. She then remembered that she had picked up a shortsword from Garruk's so-called home, and she stated out loud, "Oh yeah!"

She laid the sheathed shortsword in front of Ferric and Mica, curiosity clear in her voice, "Never hurts to check, but is this a normal or an enchanted shortsword?"

Ferric took a look at the sword, letting Mica see as well. “Not enchantment.” Ferric seemed to agree. “Aye, it’s a decent enough blade but it’s nothing magical. No notches or scratches, polished steel, smooth leather handle... If I had to guess, this sword must be new! Hasn’t been used. I imagine you didn’t buy it. Where’s you find this?”

"I picked it up during my last adventure in the thief's hideout. At the time, I wasn't sure if he was home or not, so I thought if I had it, then he wouldn't be able to use it," Sylvia answered honestly. She then added, "He still had that stolen silver spear though..."
She wondered if this sword was stolen as well...How many items did that thief, Garruk steal anyways?

“A thief huh? Well... If no one has claimed it, it’s yours now. Such is the cycle of looting. Is there anything else you picked up from the hideout? Im more than willing to buy whatever loot you might’ve picked up on your adventures and give you a good price for them.” Ferric put the sword down and took out a leather strap to make a scabbard for it. “For example this short blade is practically brand new, if you don’t want it I’m sure I can sell it to an adventurer today. How does 10 gold for it sound?”

"Hmmm..." Sylvia thought about the proposal. Ten gold sounded good, but...it would never hurt to have a back up weapon just in case. Plus...there were her two allies to consider. She answered Ferric thoughtfully, "Hold that thought for a second," She then looked to Pylia and Shortfang and she asked the both of them, "Pylia, Shortfang. Do either of you need a shortsword?"

Shortfang shot his hand up. “Shortfang need shortsword! Mean humies took Shortfang’s Longtalon! Now Shortfang only have Hand Bow.” He grumbled at the thought of when they took his sword away. “Shortfang shooty hero, but sword always good.”

Pylia returned from looking at the staves and shook her head. “I’m not really good with actual weapons like that. And sorry, none of the staves are really my style. Do you have any lighter maces?” Ferric shook his head. “I’m afraid not. Dwarves craftsmenship is solid and hearty.” She sighed but didn’t seemed to bother. “Well, extra gold always help. Why don’t you flog the loot you picked up from that thief’s place with Ferric? Maybe we can look at some of the other traders, see what they have for us.”

Sylvia answered Pylia thoughtfully as she recalled the other loot she came back with, "I did come back with some other trinkets, but first things first," She then took the shortsword off of the table and asked Shortfang, "Think you can use this one?" She wasn't sure if he could use the shortsword. The armor had to be adjusted to fit him, she had a feeling that the weapon would need to be the appropriate size for the kobold as well.

Shortfang grasped the sword, expertly flourishing it. It looked a bit funny seeing someone so small swinging a sword around, but he handled it like an expert, not a child. "Hmm. Bit heavier than kobold swords, but Shortfang can fight with this." He strapped the skabbard that Ferric made onto the belt Shortfang wore, bowing at you. "Thank you for sword!"

Sylvia watched Shortfang tested the sword. After he thanked her for the sword, she answered him with “You’re Welcome,” before she turned to face Ferric and Mica once more. This time she brought the trinkets, including the club, and she asked “How about these?”

Ferric looked them over. "Hmm. The craftsmenship on these pendants are fine indeed, though their cheap material make it difficult for me to put a price on them. But for the whole set, I'll give you twenty gold." Looking at the trinkets Ferric handed them to Mica who fiddled with them. Only the key he seemed to focus a lot more on but then he shook his head. "Not enchantment." Ferric put the three items together and pondered a price. "Well, can't really do much with the sheet music, and honestly not sure where the key even goes into. Mica seems to detect some radiant magic energy from it, but it's very weak. If I had to guess it was perhaps made from magic somehow, but now it's simply a key to a lock we may never find. As for the snuffbox, it's smaller than what most regular smokers would use, but the silver and craftsmenship alone is worth a little. I'll give you three gold for it."

Looking at the club, Pylia seemed to have an interest in it. Ferric looked at it too. "Now this... I dunno where that thief got this, but this is a prize for sure. A darkwood Crysaalilk cavalry mace. For you it's a simple but ornate wooden club, but up north these are only given out to the elite green knights." Pylia nods in agreement. "Many of the green knights are druids who rider various beasts into war. The most common is the Diamond Mare, fast and maneuverable horses who can dominate both open field and forested terrain. Their ability to traverse dense woods rapidly is what made the Crysaalilk once a grand empire." Ferric smiles in agreement. "Aye, nowadays they're just a vestige of their former selves. I mean granted their Green Knights are still a force to be reckoned with, but I doubt they'll be doing much expansion these days. In any case, I'll give you two hundred gold coins for this one. It looks somewhat old, perhaps ten or even twenty years old. Despite that though this is still very much a sturdy weapon, a sure sign of it's masterful craftsmenship." Pylia chimed in looking at you. "Actually, I would love a weapon like this! It's a perfect combination of light weight and durability for me. I can use my magic to bolster it further too."

Sylvia listened carefully as Ferric and Mica appraised the loot she found. She was surprised to hear about the club. To think that Garruk somehow got his hands on something special. Her head spun with the new information regarding Keratia's history. She was even more surprised to hear that it was worth two hundred gold! The mission just net her about five hundred gold! But...she felt that it would be better to give this club to Pylia. She can always find more gold later on.

She answered Ferric, "I'll sell the amulets and snuffbox. However, I'm going to keep the club," After that agreement was made, she handed the club to Pylia and she told her, "Here you are, Pylia. It's yours now,"

Pylia smiled and took the club. "Thank you very much Sylvia. Hmm... When we're done shopping, I think I know a way to repay you too." Borrowing a strip of leather she made a lash for her club as she motioned back towards their tent. "I'm going to go check on your robe. Please don't get into any crazy adventures while I'm gone?" Meanwhile Ferric motioned Shortfang to come over. "Aye, and I'll get started on fitting this little guy with some armor. I'll need to borrow him for a short while just so I can get precise measurements. Ah yes, and here's your coin." Ferric counted out twenty=three gold coins and handed them to you after putting the various loot away. "You can pay me for the armor after it's done. Shouldn't be too long."

Sylvia smiled at her thanks and her request to not get into any more crazy adventures, and she laughed a bit "I'll try not to," She then turned her attention to Ferric when he mentioned getting started on helping Shortfang, and the coin. She accepted the gold and put the coins in her purse. She answered "Thank you. I'll go look around in the meantime, I'll be back soon,"

She figured to take some time to look around. Who knows? Maybe she'll find something interesting, or maybe she'll find more people who might be interested in joining the caravan to Gransys...

As the day winds down, you go around and y’all to some adventuring folk and try and recruit more people. However much like before, most already had work and were simply resting. Others simply ignored you. It seemed like despite your efforts, even after turning in that thief, most of the adventurers would lay you little to no mind at all. Eventually Pylia finds you, holding our robes.

“There you are. Your robe is done drying. But before we put it on, do you perhaps want to leave these clothes on for a bit longer? There’s something I want to teach you, might get a bit messy.”
