Veronica grew up on the Ollerton estate, located on the outskirts of the village of Starcross, in England. She lived here with her parents Mordechai and Beulah Starkey, and her siblings Ben, Walt, and Margie. It was her grandfather Balius manor, but he preferred living in New York, and so
She was born in the middle of winter, and barley a hour old she showed signs of magic. Most of her early childhood was spent reading, drawing, and running around with her brothers. Down the back of her left arm she has six glyphs tattooed in black ink; Protect, Strength, Air, Water, Earth, Illusion. She has the Mind glyph branded on the back of her neck. She has four glyphs scarred up the right side of her torso along her ribs; Heat, Deflect, Clarity, Blood. On her left hand pinky she has the Moon glyph tattooed in black ink. Tattooed behind her left ear is the Learn Glyph, and the Negate Glyph is burned into her right shoulder. None of Jadis's glyphs are bigger then a penny.
Jade's mother was only sixteen when she accidentally got pregnant, and nine months later Jadis was born. Her parents married a year later in a traditional Castor wedding ceremony. Her early childhood was spent growing up in Dublin alongside the mundane populace as most Castors do. As Dublin Ireland is a major city, it was also a mecha for Supernaturals to flock to. So it was an added bonus to her upbringing as she was surrounded by all the different supernaturals in the city.
As a toddler when she was overcome by strong emotions such as anger or frustration, her raw magic would overwhelm her to the point of creating power outages, shattering windows, and giving people around her nose bleeds. During these lapses of control, her grandmother would sing to her to calm her down, as her parents cast protection spells and wards to stop the worst of it.
Born connected to three well known castor bloodlines, Jadis has more raw magic then compared to an average Castor. Thankfully by the time Jadis was five years old the majority of her raw magic had settled down. She started kindergarten at the elementary school closest to her house. Her younger sister Adelitha was born later that school year, and luckily the aggressive unstable raw magic that Jadis was born with did not manifest in her too.
Like all Castor children she officially started studying the Incanta language when she was six years old. Though, she was already rather fluent, as her Grandmother Maeve refused to speak in anything but it at home. She loved being a big sister to Adelitha. Sadly she was eight years old when her parents and Granny Maeve were killed by the notorious French Warlock, Malachi Rosier. Jade and Adelitha were taken in and adopted by their mother’s older sister Salvie Delamere and her husband Claude. The move to Erehwon USA was a big change for the girls. From the tragedy of her parents death, she gained a new family, and two protective older brothers, her cousins Dexter and Alan.
The night of her tenth birthday her family held her coming of age ceremony under night sky. She had been waiting eagerly for months for her tenth birthday, ready to finally use her magic, and find out who her patron deity was. But most of all she really wanted to learn her true name. Alan was who she had chosen as the conductor of her ceremony. Dressed in white muslin the ceremony began as she sat in the middle of a circle made of branches, and river stones. She lit the eight candles, as she recited the ancient castor laws in the Incanta language. Then she dank the elixir.
Thirty minutes later she came to, feeling like a new person. She had learned her true name, who her patron deity was, and could feel power all around her. Even from everything her family had told her about their experiences, it was a surreal feeling. As per tradition her first words after coming to was the name of her patron deity, Deplin. Alan used a soldering knife to cut Jade’s Patron glyph onto the top of her right hand. As extremely painful as it sounds, she didn’t scream, the Elixir had an added effect of numbing limbs for a short time. The ceremony ended after she was gifted with a bundle of wood and a carving knife, to make her first wand with.
Seven years later Jadis graduated high school, and decided to take a year off before she started at Gringore. She spent the year with Alan, backpacking through Europe. Getting into some trouble with a shifter man, she ended up running off to Italy with him for a few weeks of mistakes. She came back to Erehwon when she was twenty and moved into the dorms at Gringore. Now she is starting her third year at Gringore. She works off and on at Third eye tattoo mainly working with supernatural clients.

She can speak fluent Romanian, Incanta, Irish, and Latin.
Following Jade's maternal bloodline she is connected to the Drăgoi clan which was once one of the most powerful Castor families in Eastern Europe. Unfortunately in the late 50s, Korikov hunters massacred most of the Drăgoi clan in Romanian. Jade's grandmother Ecaterina was only seven years old during the massacre, but she and a handful of others made it out alive, due to the Drăgoi clan’s affinity with healing and protection magic.
On the other side of her maternal bloodline is the Racoviță clan. A bloodline that carries quite a history in black magic. Historically the first-born Racoviță baby of every new generation ends up possessing devastatingly massive amounts of power, and the baby was always sacrificed, so the Racoviță Castors could absorb and keep using their ancient ancestral magic. This all changed in 1948 when for the first time in history, the first-born came as identical triplets boys. The massive power was evenly distributed between the babies, Corneliu, Ionel, and Neculai.
The clan elders came together to decide what to do. The question was whether to sacrifice all three boys, or to use the last of their magic to call upon the Racoviță ancestors for guidance. In the end they sought out a Propheta Witch, who explained to them that the triplets had the power of three and though the present Racoviță castors would lose their ability to use ancestral magic, the three boys would not. The triplets would be the ones to carry on the Racoviță bloodline, with all future generations bore from them having perpetual power without need for sacrificial first-borns.
The triplet’s mother was overjoyed that her sons would not be sacrificed, but the rest of the family was not. They didn’t want to lose their ancient magic. So with what little magic the elders had left they joined together to summon their ancestors spirits for answers. The spirits voices spoke, and explained that there were only two options. Sacrifice all three, and everyone can keep their power, but they must sacrifice the first-three-born of every new generation to follow. The second option was just as the Propheta Witch said.
The triplets mother knew that her relatives would insist on sacrificing the babies in order keep their power, no matter what the cost. So during the wee hours she took her baby boys and run away from her clan and the only home she ever knew. She only needed to stay in hiding until the boys first birthday, when it would be too late to sacrifice them. In the end the triplets grew up and started their own families, and kept the Racoviță clan going strong for the new generations. Jadis is the granddaughter of the eldest triplet, Corneliu.
Her paternal side of the family hales from Irish ancestry, the Ó'Nualláin are more well known in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Ó'Nualláin are extremely traditional, and have traceable ties to the ancient Incanta royalty, thus granting them a high stats among Castor kind. Ó'Nualláin Castors more often than not excel in combat focused magic.

Alice was born into a middle-class Jewish family. Her father, Fred, was a pediatrician, extremely well educated, and well known among professional chess players. Her mother, Lucille, was a busy housewife, and ex-teacher, who was originally from France. Alice grew up in Düsseldorf Germany, in a three-story house, along with her siblings Konrad, Wilhelmina, and Hugo.
She was four years old when her sister Wilhelmina was born early; she was a small and sickly baby. Alice's whole family was raised bilingual, speaking German, and French. At her mother's urging Alice began ballet at the age of six, playing small roles in local stage productions, and taking piano classes. But what Alice really wanted was to learn to play violin. Luckily her parents agreed that everyone should know how to play an instrument and read music, so she was given her first violin when she was seven, just after her baby brother Hugo was born.
She was mainly educated at home by her mother, and in Synagogue. She was instructed in the basics of formal education such as math, reading, and writing. She hated math to its core, but reading became her favorite. Her father sent her to a proper school when she turned 10, as he wanted all his children to have an education, so they could do whatever they wanted in life. Overall she was a happy little girl.
She stopped the ballet classes when she was eleven, as she decided to focus her time on the violin, which she had grown to love dearly. Alice's dream was to one day to be a professional violinist, and composer. She was well on her way to accomplishing her dreams. She also began trying to write her own plays, making little Hugo, and her friends put them on for their parents and neighbors.
In 1935 the anti-Semite, Adolf Hitler came to power, and his reign started. Nuremberg Laws were adopted, and all Jews citizenship was withdrawn. Alice was 15, but luckily she had just been accepted on scholarship, to a private music school is France. Her parents saw this as a way out of Germany for Alice. Her mother had even arranged for Alice to stay in France with her uncle, Eugene Lemery and his wife Claudia. Alice left home just before the start of the school year, and her older brother Konrad came with to find work in England on the way there.
Alice graduated in 1938. Her parents urged her not to come back to Germany, as things were just getting worse. So she stayed in France with the Lemery family, and started college, majoring in Music Theory, and English. After being away in France for almost three years, all she wanted was to see her family, but she pressed on. She became first chair violinist of her college orchestra, and began dating a young man named Henri Palissy.
She was 20 years old in 1940 when France became occupied. Henri proposed to her later that year, and she accepted. They promised to marry when the war ended. Henri, her first love, best friend, and now fiancé left to fight in the war in December of that year. Alice withdrew from college and found work as a typist, making extra money, as to not be a burden on the Lemerys.
Back in Germany her parents were quick to help their fellow Jews. Their three-story home became a place of refuge for dozens of Jewish people trying to find their way into hiding or out of Germany. She learned through letters that her parents’ main focus was helping people get out by doctoring papers. Unfortunately her parents, Hugo, and Wilhelmina were found out and taken by the Nazis in late 1941. Her father died on the train journey to the death camp. Her sister Wilhelmina, was sent to the gas chambers on arrival at Auschwitz. Hugo and her mother were split up and made to do slave labor. Konrad was still in England working on ships, and around the docks in Portsmouth. He had been sending money back to Germany for the family, and had no idea his family had been taken until months later when his letters returned unopened.
The Holocaust got its claws into France, and in January 1942 Alice was caught and deported to a concentration camp in Poland. By some miracle her mother was also an inmate there. The reunion was short lived, as her mother explained that Wilhelmina and her father were dead. The poor woman said she had only caught a glimpse of Hugo months ago, as he boarded a different train to god knows where. During Alice's time in the camp, she became an interpreter among the inmates, using her knowledge of different languages to help with communication. The death of her father and sister, along with the missing Hugo were almost too much to bare, and it was a miracle she lasted.
In 1943 she developed pneumonia, and she was taken to the infirmary, were she basically had a week to get better or be sent to the gas chambers. In the middle of the night, two day before her week was up; her brother Konrad appeared, disguised as a Nazi soldier. Konrad had been looking for their family since he found out they had been deported in 1942. And he had found Alice's name by chance written on the infirmary list two days ago. He hadn't known she had been taken, and had assumed she was still in France hiding. He was here to break his family out. He picked up the dying Alice out of bed, asking her where to find their parents and siblings, as he carried her gently outside. Through struggling breaths and painful coughs Alice explained that their father and Wilhelmina were dead, Hugo was missing, and their mom was the only one left.
The next thing Alice remembered was waking up in a warm bed, with her mother asleep in the chair beside her. Konrad came in to the room, red rimmed eyes; he offered her some soup and water. He explained that once she was strong enough he was sending her and mother to England where his friend Alec Moore, had a place for them; but he was going to stay behind to look for Hugo. Alice spent months recovering, all while trying to convince her mother and Konrad that she should stay to help find Hugo. Her weak arguments were going nowhere, and in December of 1943, she and her mother left for England.
On new years day they had made it to Mr. Moore’s home in Dover England. Mr. Moore was glad to see they had survived and opened his home to them. There were two other families living there. An elderly couple from Austria, and the Stuart brothers, Paul and George. Little did anyone know that the Stuart boys were actually Vampires. Paul was attractive, and charming, but secretly a psychopath. He took immediate interest in Alice. But as the weeks past and he got to know her more, he became borderline obsessed with her, not that he would let anyone know that. George was quite, and stand offish, most of the time he just ignored everyone and spent his days locked in his room.
Alice was polite to them, and grateful that Mr. Moore took them in, but other than that she was only concerned with the war, Konrad safety, her MIA fiancée Henri, and where her little brother Hugo was. She and her mother counted the days between letters received from Konrad in Germany, containing news on the search for Hugo, which was going nowhere. Do to the prolonged bout with pneumonia, and the malnutrition suffered from the camp, Alice's health would never be what it once was, and the scar tissue in her lungs didn't help. She developed asthma, and spent more days in poor health then not.
Months past living in Mr. Moore's home, all the while with Paul trying his charms on Alice, flirting, and Mr. Moore seemed to be suffering from anemia. One night Paul tried to sneak a kiss, and Alice had finally had enough of him, so she abruptly and venomously rejected him. Paul was enraged, he grabbed her by the hair, dragged her to the ground and bit her, drinking her blood as she kicked and hit him. But he kept on drinking her blood. She stopped fighting as the last of her blood was being sucked away, and she went limp. When Paul came down from fit of rage Alice laid near death on the ground in front of him, he laughed, and then started crying because he didn't want her dead. So in his hysterics, the spur of the moment decision was made, and he fed her his own blood.
June 1944 Alice died, and three days later woke up a vampire. Chained to a wall, in some windowless room, she had no idea where she was. All she could think about what how thirsty she was, but not for water. She felt strange, different, and strong. She could hear and see things clearer than ever before. Paul showed up hours later, with an unconscious human man flung over his shoulder. He dropped him in front of her, and without a thought she bit the man, and drank every last drop of blood, effectively killing the poor guy. Not thirsty anymore, she looked up at Paul, blood smeared her lips, and she remembered how he attacked her. Her mind was rushing a millions miles a minute, think so many thing, but everything was so clear, so sharp. Words like Aluka, Dracula, Motetz Dam, demon, and Vampire flashed through her mind, and she instinctively knew that that was what she was, what Paul was, what he had made her.
She was not Human anymore, she was a vampire, and this made her angry. Using her new superhuman vampire strength she ripped the chains from the wall, and lunged at Paul with a growl, fangs bared. But he was quick to laugh as he slammed the door in her face. Through the door he said in a cheery voice, "You're a strong one Alice, so happy you're all mine. Never thought I'd turn someone, you’re lucky a pureblood like me even cared enough too. I made George cover for us, dear. Told your mother we ran off to elope ha. See you later my girl."
Paul held her captive for over 8 months. And in February of 1945 she finally escaped. The first morning of freedom, she found out the hard way that Vampires can't walk in the sun. Finding her family and hiding from the enraged Paul became her primary mission in life, if you could call it life… Living in darkness, the only thing Paul had taught her was how to feed without killing, and how to erase a human’s memory.
About a month later she finally found her way back to Mr. Moore's home in Dover England. She came there hoping to find her mother, but George answered the door. She backed up in fear, expecting to see Paul behind him, but George just frowned and had the clueless Mr. Moore invite her inside. George explained that her mother was in Paris with her relatives, and Konrad was in Birmingham England drinking himself to death, as he spent his days going through concentration camp books, logs, and papers searching for any mention of Hugo. George apologized for Paul's behavior, and what he did to her. He explained that Paul had been here two weeks ago looking for her, and that it was best to not cross paths with him. Over the next three months George reluctantly became Alice's mentor in the ways of a vampire. He taught her the history, laws, abilities, and limitations of her new life. They slowly became friends in the process.
They left Mr. Moore’s home in June 1945. Alice wanted to find her family, and though George advised against her ever seeing them again, he went along with her anyway. She dyed her hair blonde, and began going by the name Susan Wilson, as to keep Paul off her trail. By September that year, WWII was over, and people were beginning to rise up out of wreckage that had plagued the world for the last five years. But she would never forget the camps and the horrors of war. For two years she searched for her brother all over Europe. She had found her mother living in Paris with Uncle Eugene, but didn't reveal herself to them, knowing George was right, and that it was better they though she was gone.
Paul found Alice in April 1947. But instead of attacking her, or showing any sign of anger, he smiled cheerfully as he greeted her and George. Alice could tell that he didn't expect George to be with her, but Paul didn't let on his true feelings. Instead Paul brightly told Alice that he had a gift for her, as an apology for keeping her locked up, and that he had seen the slight error in his ways. Paul grinned as Konrad happily walked out of the shadows to stand beside him. The smiling Konrad, ran up and give Alice a bear hug. "Konrad and I, have been looking for you my dear Alice. We've been searching for you for over a year. I must say blonde hair suits you, but your natural brown is more my taste, so will have to change that." Paul told her looking menacingly at George. George and Alice knew Paul was up to something right off the bat, but Alice was overjoyed to see her big brother.
Little did she know that Paul had turned Konrad into a vampire, over a year ago, knowing that Alice was looking for him, knowing this was not the life she wanted for her brother, Paul was playing a game. No fight broke out, Alice didn't yell, she just quickly whispered into Konrad's ear, not to trust Paul and to run. Konrad's response was a light hearted laugh as he stopped hugging her and said "Don't worry Ally, Paul explained everything, and I'm just like you, fangs and all that. God it’s good to see you." giving her another hug. Paul just smiled. The shock of what Konrad had said was apparent on Alice's face, and even George looked wherry. As a general rule vampire were not really allowed to turn more than one person every 50 years, but Paul didn't seems to follow any rules.
Alice was angry, and upset. She didn't want this life for her brother, a life in the darkness, life as a demon. She suppressed the instinct to rip out Paul's throat, and instead calmly took Konrad by the hand to make him follow. She needed to be away from Paul, and to explain the truth to Konrad. George understood this, and went to get Paul's attention. When Alice and Konrad were far enough away, she told Konrad the truth. She explained how Paul had attacked her, held her captive. That she was never his fiancée, and that she hated Paul. Being a Vampire was never her choice. She could tell Konrad didn't want to believe her, but he knew she was telling the truth, and then he became furious at Paul.
Alice had Konrad, and George on her side, so Paul was outmatched and could do nothing, he seemed to accept that and leave of his own accord. George apologized again on Paul behalf, and Konrad just looked lost, like his life was a lie...which it was. Turned out Paul had told Konrad all about some happy prefect life that was being a vampire, that Alice wanted this for Konrad, so they could all be a happy family together...forever.
The months after finding Konrad were an adjustment. She had had a mission, a reason for living since she had become a vampire, and now that she had found Konrad, and seen her mother, the reasons were gone. She didn't know what to do with herself, what to do with her impossibly long life. She still had not accepted herself as a vampire. She still had nightmares from her time in the camps, and the death of almost everyone she had ever loved. Everything she had ever dreamed of having in life was gone; finishing college, marrying Henri, having children, growing old with loved ones, walking freely in the sunlight. She had survived the death camps, the war, but everything she had planned for her life was gone.
Depression, PTSD, and self-loathing made up most of the next few years for Alice. George and Konrad stayed with her, and together they made their way to America. A fresh start as Konrad called it. Living in New York City, times were changing in the 50s. George stayed with Alice, as he felt obligated since his brother was such an ass. Later in the decade Konrad found himself addicted to fairy blood, and spent most of his time tracking down old Nazis, and killing them off.
In early 1955 Konrad had ended up in a prison for supernaturals, as the Guardians found him guilty of murdering 12 fairies, and 43 humans. Konrad confessed that it was true, but that the fairies were all accidents; do to his addiction to fairy blood and his uncontrollable thirst. He would have got 90 years in a supernatural prison, but he had only been a vampire for less than a decade, so he got 10 years. With Konrad in jail, George and Alice left New York for a small supernatural community in Canada, called Umber.
Alice and George started a romantic relationship together, and love blossomed, which was something she never thought would happen. Alice felt free, and in love. Her witch friend charmed a daylight ring for her, and being able to walk out under the sun, changed Alice's outlook on vampire life. She was finally beginning to accept that the world around her was much bigger then is seemed.
In 1963 George and Alice had been traveling around Asia when Paul appeared. He was more psychotic than usual, and once he deduced George and Alice's relationship, he went bat shit, and killed George. Paul came back to reality rather quickly after he ripped George's head off. The regret and grief was instant for him. Alice was hysterical as she sank to her knees in the growing pool of blood around her. Paul forcefully grasped Alice’s wrists, and dragged her to her feet. "You...You made me do this Alice, it’s all your fault. You are mine! You were supposed to love me. You made me have to kill him, my own brother. Stupid girl, you'll have to pay for this. A brother for a brother is only fair." Paul said accusingly glaring into Alice's tear filled eyes. His blood soaked hands tightened around her wrists, as he watched her eyes widen as she comprehend what he said, and threatened to do. He kissed her on the cheek and then he was gone.
Cleaning up George's body was gut wrenching, but she was not just going to leave him there in some random ally in the middle of Beijing. She payed someone to discreetly cremate him, and the next day she berried his ashes in the Beijing Botanical Gardens. Konrad was safe from Paul as long as he was in prison, but his stent ended in two years. Alice had time to figure out how to keep Konrad safe. A small part of her hoped that Paul would just forget about his plans, that he would just grow bored waiting for Konrad to get out of jail, but Alice new that Paul was hell bent.
Over the next few months she did what she could, and called in favors to keep off Paul's radar. She sent letters to her brother, to inform him on what was going on, and told him to watch himself. She made her way to Rome to report Paul's offences to the Guardians. Little did she know that Paul's mother, Gwendolyn, sat on the judges’ counsel, and was a one of the Elder Guardians. Reporting Paul got nowhere and Gwen made sure of it. She also learned that vampires killing fellow vampires was not illegal unless it was done in front of the mundane, or caused some kind of clan or turf war.
1965 Alice was ready to protect her brother. Konrad was let out of prison. He wanted nothing more than to slaughter Paul. The man who killed his best friend George, and ruined both his and his little sister’s lives. Konrad wanted vengeance and he did a good job of convincing Alice to want the same. They set up house in New Orleans, where Alice had made friends with a Lycanthrope named Thomas Cooper, and a Sorcerer named Malachi Rosier. Paul arrived two weeks later, completely calm with the same cocky grin he always had. Konrad was convinced they had the advantage, and hastily went after Paul.
Paul with all his cunning had planned accordingly, and in all the chaos it turned out Malachi had been Paul’s spy for the last two years. It was no coincidence, the seemingly friendly sorcerer had bumping into Alice years ago, quick to befriend and agree with her. The betrayal hit hard for Alice, and Konrad was now held in a steal cage in Paul’s mansion, being tortured. Against Thomas’s advice, Alice entered Paul’s place ready to plead.
Paul was happy to see her, and though he enjoyed her pleading for her brother's life, it didn't make a difference. In his mind it was a brother for a brother. The fact that he was the one who killed George didn't factor in, he blamed Alice, and this was how he made it fair in his eyes. Alice hadn't expected Paul to really do it, after she had begged he seemed like he was going to let Konrad go. But then he laughed, and in a blur flung a stake lightning fast across the room into Konrad's chest. He turned to ash in seconds. Alice's scream could practically shatter glass. The confused albeit amused look on Paul's face infuriated her. The fight that ensued basically destroyed the whole first floor of the mansion.
The fight ended with Paul pinning her to the ground, grinning like this was some fucked up version of foreplay. Alice turned her emotions off in that moment. A choice she never thought she'd make, but everything was so broken she didn't want to feel anymore. Without the painful emotions, with her humanity she was a different person. Pushing Paul off with enough force to send him flying into the marble staircase, she stood up and brushed Konrad's ashes of her knees. After fixing her hair in the shattered mirror she walked out of the wrecked doorways, and smiled.
Over the next decade she would join a vampire den in Spain. They would end up going on several killing sprees, together. Thérèse the leader made sure to keep it all within the law, though just barely. Apparently murdering a bunch of humans who had no connection to supernaturals was not illegal if you cleaned up your mess. All of Alice’s time was spent indulging in pleasure, blood, and darkness. Paul with all his obsessive and jealous behaviors tended show up every few months, and she and her den would send him packing.
It was 1978 when she left the den out of boredom. She went to Paris, and three days later found herself forced by an old witch named Esme to turn her humanity back on. Esme apparently knew Konrad in prison, and felt it was her mission to make sure the Alice he loved came back. So with her witchy magic, and help from her coven, they flipped Alice switch back on. The resulting flood of emotions crippled her for months. The guilt from slaughtering random defenseless humans, the pain and sadness for Konrad and George’s deaths, knowing that her whole family was gone now, and the pure rage that still burned for Paul....
Esme was a bitch of a witch, but she let Alice stay in her home, and among her village. By 1980, Alice had accepted the death of her family, and the fact she was immortal. The idea of letting anyone into her life, only to see them die was more than a struggle for her. She had grown attached the old witch, and her little grandson Etienne. But she kept her distance from everyone else in the small French village.
A pair of Jager Hunters showed up in the village. No one knew they were Hunters though, and so the village full of blissfully unaware witches catered to the two tourists. It was about a week after the two men left when three witches from the village were found burned on stakes, and Esme’s Daughter Colette was missing. Esme called Rome wanting Guardians to be sent to investigate. Alice stood guard every night for the next week, and then it happened. Fifty or so Jager Hunters showed up in the middle of the night ready to burn down the whole village. Apparently they had tortured Colette, and learned the whole village was made up of witches, and a vampire. Fighting ensued, and Alice killed ten or so of the Jagers before being shot with Hemlock dipped bullet. Thankfully it missed her heart, but she was down and in severe pain until she dug the bullet out.
The hemlock poison made her inhuman abilities and healing factor basically turn off for the time being, so she was bleeding out as she watched hunters set fire to the Village. Guardians thankfully showed up an hour later but there was not much left to protect. Of the hundred or so witches that had lived in the village only about twenty survived, and they were mostly children. Thankfully all the Hunters had been killed by the end of it, except two cowards that ran off half way through. Esme was one of the many dead.
The Guardians went to work cleaning the place up, helping the survivors, and figuring out what to do with all the orphaned witch children. The Leader decided to go after the two runaway hunters. Alice fully recovered in about two days, and little Etienne wouldn’t leave her side. Five days later the small little Village was gone, and in it’s place was a graveyard. Homes were found for the kids, and Alice left with Etienne to live in Brussels.
Life went on, and Alice became Etienne’s adoptive mother. She did her best to give him as normal of a life as possible. But they had to move every five years or so, since she didn’t age, and drawing suspicion was dangerous. She also was afraid that Paul would show up to ruin her life again. They were living in Paris when Etienne turned thirteen, and he claimed the specialization of Intelligere. Thankfully Alice knew a small coven there that was willing to teach Etienne witch craft. His studies had been mostly self-taught up to that point from books Alice had come by.
It was 1992 when they moved from Europe to North America. Etienne was sixteen, and Alice could no longer pass as his mother. So she started being referred to as his older sister. Québec was where they made their home this time. She also promised not to move until he graduated. Her old friend Thérèse showed up a while later. Apparently she was on the run from a Korikov Hunter named Siarhei and needed a place to lay low. Alice didn’t appreciate the visit to say the least, but Thérèse made a blood oath to kill Paul Stuart if she ever came across him in exchange for a place to stay, so Alice obliged.
Etienne turned twenty, and Alice finally convinced him to move away to college and start his own life. He had stuck around for long enough, worried about Alice and lusting after Thérèse the tease. Etienne left for Brown University and just in time too. Siarhei had finally found Thérèse. Korikov hunters tended to fuck everything up, and Alice didn’t want Etienne on their radar. Thérèse ultimately confessed the truth, explaining why a Korikov hunter was so obsessed with her in particular, and why he would cross an ocean and spend four years personally searching for her. She had killed Siarhei’s wife and kids in retaliation for him killing her lover Dominic.
Unfortunately Siarhei was not alone, he had brought along his Korikov brothers, and five Hunter cousins. Alice was now known to them; no doubt they started a file on her. After a few scrimmages here and their Alice sought help from a few different supernaturals she knew in the city; Richard Templeton a Sorcerer, three gorgon sisters, a boggart named Valeria, and an Incubus named Norman Kelly. Thérèse called in favors to a handful of Vampires she knew. Starting a war with the Korikov was never a good idea, but things seemed to be going in that direction.
About a month later Guardians came to know about the storm brewing in Québec, and sent a half dozen Guardians to make sure whatever happened in didn’t happen in front of the Mundane. The Korikov attacked later that week, and both sides in essence lost. On the Korikov side only Sairhei’s younger brother survived. And on the Alice and Thérèse side only they, Richard and two other vampires were left. Alice was fed up with Thérèse selfish recklessness, and so she left her behind. Everyone else also went their separate ways afterwards.
Etienne got married to a fellow a witch in 2005, and moved to Erehwon to start a family. Alice attended the wedding and kept in touch, as she lived nomadically around southern America. In 2016 Paul showed up in Savannah Georgia, asking for forgiveness. Whether he was sincere or if it was another one of his tricks she’d never know. She shot him with a hemlock laced bullet, though she missed his heart, so he was most likely still alive. She left Savannah and moved to Erehwon to be nearer to Etienne. She owns the Treasures of Time antique shop, and lives upstairs.

APPEARANCE Sinna is considered an attractive girl for her age. She is a slender and a bit on the taller side for a woman. Her eyes are caramel colored, she has naturally bronze skin, and long, white hair. Raised as a noble lady, Sinna possesses the traditional feminine graces of her milieu. She tends to dress in the fashions of the secluded south western Hau'Ma, where she was raised, but she has slowly been switching to wearing the fashion popular in the majority of the drink empire. She has a love for jewelry, and beading. She has multiple scars on her back from whippings she received as a young child, thankfully they healed to be faint.
BIOGRAPHY Sindia is the youngest child of Renshu and Vanna Fang. Her parents were madly in love with each other, and married without their parents blessing. As Renshu came from a family of poor gentry, and Vanna was the only child of a count, it was quite the scandal among noble circles at the time. Thankfully they later obtained Vanna's father's approval when she announced she was pregnant with their first child. Little Caslan was born six months later, and Renshu took his wife's family name of Fang. They were a happy young family living in Renshu's small picturesque manor near the border of Hua'Mu and Estrye.
Three years later Vanna became pregnant with Sindia. Tragically when Vanna entered labor she began to show the early symptoms of pre-eclampsia, and the midwife was ill-equipped to do anything for her. After delivering baby Sindia, Vanna began to experience a series of severe fits and spasms due to the eclampsia, and was unable to breathe. Little Calsan, the midwife, and the households ladies-maids were present at her bedside, while Renshu held her as she suffocated and died. Renshu could not accept the fact that Vanna was gone, and took to drinking himself to sleep, and ignoring his two little children, who only reminded him of his dear Vanna.
A month or so later after the burial, Vanna's father arrived to collect the children, as Renshu had written that he could no longer bare to look at them, and needed a brake. So their grandfather collected the toddling Caslan, and newborn Sinna, whose nursemaid begrudgingly came along, irritated that she had to move to the isolated south western Hau'Ma. Renshu was nowhere to be seen, as his children and father-in-law departed, in fact according to the household servants he had run off a week ago, delirious, drunk, and insane with grief.
Unfortunately things were only going to get worse for the siblings. Being under their grandfather's guardianship was awful. Their neglectful absentee father was heaven compared to Count Fang. He blamed Sindia for the death of his one and only child, and made sure she knew it. So she grew up terrified of and abused by her maternal Grandfather. She was regarded as fearful and furtive by the manors servants, who always looked the other way during the abuse. Her brother Caslan tried his best to protect her, and take the brunt of the abuse, but there was only so much a kid could do. So they found comfort with each other, quietly playing in the library, and gardens to stay out of their Grandfathers path.
Count Fang had never forgiven her for his daughter's death in childbirth, and frequently made her the target for his frustrations, by making it practically impossible to go a day without braking any of his ridiculous rules. His "punishments" included simple things like going without food,to much harsher things like whippings, and beatings. Being dragged by the hair, getting locked in the stables overnight, and verbal abuse was Sindia's normal for the first nine years of her life. Her brother was fortunately always there, sneaking her food, tending her wounds, teaching her to read, and hiding her when the count was on the war path. She was nine years old when she was beaten severely and locked outside during a storm. She ended up with a serious infection, and became so sick she was bedridden with fever and hallucinations for almost a week. The doctor informed Caslan and the Count that she may not survive if it lasted any longer. Thankfully she lived through it, though her health would never be the same. Two weeks later her grandfather, who was healthy as a horse, and as strong as an ox, died in his sleep...
Sindia believes that he died, due to her prayers being answered. As she had been praying to any and all of the gods of various religions every night since she was seven, praying to make her grandfather disappear. When she woke up in the morning to a wailing maid, and the news of her grandfather's death she ran for her brother. Life changed quickly after that. Caslan inherited everything, including the estate, and title of count. Relatives they had never met, came out of the woodwork to dispute Caslan's inheritance, and try to manipulate their way into their lives for selfish reasons. The excuse that Caslan and Sindia were only children, was thrown in their face more then once. Caslan wasn't having it, and took over the Counts seat rather well for only being only twelve years old. These so called relatives were basically banished, and ignored from then on.
Caslan spent quite a bit of his time on martial arts training, Sinna wished to follow him and train too, as was custom for girls in the Drink Empire, but after her illness she could never fully keep up. Her training flittered to an end by the time she was eleven, and instead she took up playing chess, and helping her brother manage the household. Her life was now peaceful and enjoyable, her brother made sure of that. A governess from the capital was hired, and so began Sindia's official education. Though her brother had thankfully taught her what he learned from his tutors, so she was not completely behind in academics for her age. Learning the etiquette of being a noble lady came easy to her, and she actually enjoined learning to dance, sing, sew, play the harp, pursue the arts, and write poetry.
Nightmares still plagued her, and anytime there was a thunder storm you would still catch her crying, bundled in blankets hiding in the wardrobe, but for all intensive purposes she was safe and happy. She was fifteen when Caslan was appointed a position as a official knight and guard at the Hua'Ma palace in the capitol. She came with, as the idea of living alone, and a whole months journey away from him was horrifying to her. So at fifteen she debuted at the royal court, and has been living there since, becoming friends with Princess Minagi.
