"Sorry about that," He said sheepishly. He smiled a little when she mentioned going to face her problems. "Yeah, I should probably see mine too. Uh, my living one, I mean. Maybe I can figure out how to get this mess sorted out."

He looked back at the Maitlands, who were holding hands and watching them with goofy, proud smiles.

"Uh. You could come back and visit, if you want. Maybe around Halloween. They'd be awesome." He grinned.

"Halloween sounds great. We can throw a party and scare people! But not to death, just enough to scare them." She grinned, feeling a little awkward before trying to hug him only to phase through him. "Oh, right, ghost." She chuckled.

Lawrence shivered as the cold ghost passed through him. That was certainly unpleasant. "Well...see you around, I guess," He smiled.

"I hope you work things out with your family, hun," Barbara said sweetly.

"Yeah, and send us a postcard!" Adam quipped.

"Aww, you guys! Come here you cinnamon rolls!" Lydia exclaimed before hugging both of them. She was going to really miss these guys but time flew quickly in the Netherworld. She'd be back in a heartbeat. "I'll be back before Halloween!" She smiled before disappearing.

She appeared before Miss Argentina, smiling nervously. "Hey, Tina. I know I don't have an appointment but-"

"Well...today's been a weird day," Lawrence said to no one in particular.

"Strange and usual," Barbara quipped.

Lawrence managed to convince the police to take him off house arrest so that he could go back to work. He was still struggling for money, and trying to find a new place to live, when he got a strange letter in the mail one day. He tore it open as he brought the mail in, and his stomach did a flip.

"Guys!" The ghosts appeared beside him almost immediately. "Malcolm is an advertising company. They saw one of my commercials and they loved it! They want me to become one of their producers!" He looked at the ghosts with the biggest grin his face could fit. "Guys, if this works, I'm gonna' be able to keep the house!"

Once money from the new job started coming in, Lawrence was able to convince Ken to give him a second chance. He was making significantly more than he did at the car lot. He was even able to pay off his dad's medical debt. As the seasons began to grow colder, he found himself looking forward to a visit from his "wife".

Lydia had finally told her father how she felt about his second marriage and everything that happened when she was gone, even becoming human for five seconds. Thankfully he wasn't upset as he embraced her, saying how much he missed his little girl. She eventually warmed up to Delia although she wasn't quite ready to call her mom yet which she understood.

Therapy and anger management were next on her list of opening up which had her either bawling her eyes out or almost full true demon form. But they paid off after a while with her able to articulate how she felt especially when she was upset.

As Halloween drew near Lydia popped back into the living world, grinning as she entered the house. "Whoa." She said seeing how clean it was now, much different than what it was before. Seeing Barbara levitating some pumpkins to decorate, she chuckled softly before flying over and removing her head, making it the next one Barbara moved.

"Hiya, Toots!" She said with a wink.

"Oh!" Barbara jumped. "Lydia!"

Lawrence came down from upstairs. He was looking surprisingly not sloppy and presentable. He had to be for his new, fancy job. "Lyds!" He hollered as he reached the bottom. He began to excitedly explain about his new job, keeping the house, and even getting therapy.

Lydia smiled as he told her everything before proudly showing off her one month badge she got in anger management. "I've been in control of my temper for a whole month! It wasn't easy, let me tell ya, some people down there I want to give a piece of my mind to, but I didn't." She said.

"Dad and I have reconnected, hell, even Delia isn't that bad. She knows the fancy restaurants that have my favorite bugs on the menu. Therapy's helped me realize that I just needed to express my feelings in a positive way and articulate how I feel about something instead of running from it or getting upset."

"Hey, that's great!" Lawrence flopped down on the couch, which was new and free of stains or trash. "Well, I picked out a bunch of Halloween specials to watch, and this popcorn isn't gonna eat itself."

"Aww, and I thought you didn't care." Lydia chuckled before sitting beside him. "We're still going to scare trick or treaters, right?" She asked as she took a handful of popcorn.

"Hell yeah!" Lawrence shoved a handful of popcorn in his mouth. "Just don't do anything that could get me arrested." He spoke around a mouthful.

"Well, we get a lot of grungy teenagers around here, so have at it," he chuckled. Lawrence was halfway dozed off when the doorbell rang. He looked over at Lydia, "I think that's for you." The sound of kids giggling outside indicated definite trick or treaters.

Lydia grinned before floating over in glee. She turned herself into a music box before opening the door, playing Pop Goes the Weasel. "Trick or treat!" The kids exclaimed happily before it turned into confusion, staring at the box. It opened up, unleashing a horrifying clown version of Lydia who cackled wickedly. "TRICK!" She shouted, causing the kids to flee in terror.

"That never gets old." She chuckled, closing the door before rejoining Lawrence on the couch.
