What a fantastic war! I just love when the mortals get all worked up about their personal space. I mean, really. What's a few million square miles of land compared to the universe? Such petty little things. Still, the empire is at peace again and the people can live in harmony with blah blah blah. Maybe they'll learn to behave this time. If not, well... perhaps the next war will be even better.

---------------------------

The newly formed Colain Empire has finally settled into its peace; or at least, there aren't wide-spread battles being fought, as there used to. The various fracture regions that made up the north-eastern section of the Nalzat continent have, after decades of in-fighting and centuries of prior conflict, finally been brought under a single banner. Four years of actual peace have been held, and the empire is beginning to figure out how to exist outside of a perpetual conflict. The citizens have laxed most of the tension that had been built for so long, and many of the former soldiers have returned to their homes to start new lives. Some have pursued work as town guards, bounty hunters, and mercenaries. Many others have left behind the more violent pursuits to live of simple life as farmers, miners, and general laborers. For sure, there is no shortage of work to be done with the population now rising to heights beyond what was ever possible. It is here that we begin our story. Here, in an empire in its infancy and a world older than the land the empire now calls home. The only question is: what happens now?

---------------------------

This is a concept for a world I have been working on for a while. I'm an engineer and like to build things in a robust manner, and that includes my world-building from time-to-time. So, I have a world that is thought out, but I created it to be able to be played in multiple different genres and themes. I wanted to post and see if there was any interest, and to see if there was interest in any particular facet of the story. The world is created in medieval fashion, so there are certain game elements that are probably out by virtue of that. I'd like to get a small group together, so it'd be great to get a consensus from a few players before I put a ton of time into solidifying the world around a theme, but the concepts that are open for consideration are:

Genre:
Fantasy (high, low, or no) - Depending on a groups choice, this will be a major factor in how the world is set up and how characters will be generated. I have a slightly different way of doing characters that allows for RP to still happen and reduces how bogged down it can get by rolls. This does, however, require reasonably competent and mature players. This does not mean the content of the RP has to be mature or serious (If you wanna seduce everything in sight, go for it), but it does fall apart if a player isn't committing to what their character would do.

Inclusions (romance, nation building, etc.) - Outside of the fantastical elements, I'd like for the group to come into the game with an understanding of what everyone wants out of the RP experience. I want to be able to provide for the players to have fun, and want players to want to continue playing and not get bored or be disappointed if the story strays from something they wanted. So, a general understanding of whether people expect to have a say in building the world, having a romance with other PCs or NPCs, having battles, that sort of thing.

Setting:
Once a genre is set, there will be a start point to consider. Generally, I have it set up for 3 starts: 1) a classic D&D characters small town bar scenario 2) a rebel faction wanting to win their land back from the empire 3) nobility or high-class (or at least in the high-class town scape) and having more of a direct connection to the new empire, its creation, and the overall building of this new nation

I am willing to work with almost any character concept once a group has made at least a loose agreement to the above. As I stated earlier, I have a bit of a unique way of doing a CS that I've wanted to try out that will hopefully allow for better story movement and RP. Above everything, I do want it to be fun and casual, hence not a lot of dice will be rolled necessarily and the players will have their run of the environment to do as the party pleases. If there is enough interest, I'll move on to taking applications soon. Be kind!

sounds interesting as most of my projects fail due to lack of individuals. Count me in.

@DaemonsRevenge, I might be interested. Will this RP have a Discord Server?

Edit: Note that I might not have the time, though, as my own RP is ramping up its pace right now...

It might, I'm fine with either a well maintained group in the site or on discord. I know everybody can access the site, at least, but some may not have a discord (though, I imaginevery few).
