Sorry, i'll quit my role as motivator I get it so much at work that it's kind of rubbed off.

Nice posts guys! I'd just like to clear up the issue of terminology for technology. I know i haven't put it in the OP because i haven't been focused enough but i'll put it here. Sandships are reasonably sized. When you said a medium sized Sandship i thought of the Hercules, which is where James Huxley is right now. The Hercules has over 50 crew and is on three levels including the gundeck. It's big, and difficult to board unless you're on another Sandship and you have grappling hooks or whatever.

I think what you might be referring to Fortune, is a Sand Skiff. These are like the craft i've put at the top of the IC. Small, Yacht like vessels that have only a few crew and rely instead on speed & agility.

Of course it's tricky to classify when it stops becoming a Skiff and starts being a Ship but i'd put it down to the number of decks or tonnage. More on this to come.

Great! That it does, gotta get dem good grades.
I've edited the last paragraph on my post. Still not quite happy with it but it'll have to do.

Guys i'm going up to Birmingham for a meeting today and tomorrow. Won't be back until Saturday at about 9pm GMT, ergo i won't be posting anything in that timeframe. I'm sure you'll do fine, but in the event that something in the OOC catches fire i'm appointing the roleplay's mascot as my second in command.

Getting involved isn't mandatory. Babylon is huge and varied and completely open. There are hundreds of scenarios unfolding every second; in a realistic world Jack and Tal may never cross paths until the very end of the Roleplay, if at all. I suggest that if you can't see a way to organically involve your character in the drama developing in the Projects, start something else close by and see what happens. We will all support ventures and sub-plots unless they absolutely do not mesh with the general direction we're going with.
