Hello fellow writer.
I’m your friendly neighbourhood New Zealander. New to the site but have been Roleplaying on and off for over a decade. I’m looking to dive head first into a juicy RP. I’m laid back and just want to have fun in my writing. For all my role plays this is what I’m looking for:
1. Aim to write at least 200 words per post. I’ll probably write between 300 to 800+ but often I’ll match my partner.
2. Character development. I want our characters to grow, change, and to transform under the immense stress we’re going to put them through.
3. Long term partner. I’m not looking for a short fling. I want to write an epic. I want to create worlds and then burn them to the ground.
4. I need more than romance for my plots. Yes I love a good romantic sub plot but I need something else to carry the story forward or I’ll lose interest.
5. Don’t ghost me. Flick me a message instead saying that your bored and tired of me. I’m laid back with a thick skin. I understand.
6. Be happy for 1-3 posts a week. Keep in mind I’m looking for longevity so there might be weeks of minimal posts and a break here or there.
7. MxF romantic relationships with me playing the male character. That’s just what I feel comfortable writing.
Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, here are a few plot ideas swishing around in my consciousness. Feel free to send me your own completely unique ideas if now of these pique your interest but I sound like a fun bloke to write with.
The Loop
Groundhog Day inspired plot. There’s no need to have watched the film. Every night at midnight the day resets, with only our two characters having any memory of what has happened. The two live the same day over and over with even death not stopping the loop. I want to dive into the emotional damage this would bring and put our characters through hell as they grapple with their immortality. This can be set in any time period but I’ll like to base this somewhere unique and a little different.
Lords, Ladies and Con-Artists
Set in regency England (early 1800s, no need to have expensive historical knowledge). Two desperate con artists reluctantly team up to impersonate brother & sister or husband & wife to fleece the rich and wealthy in high society. The only problem... they can stand each other (for the time being ;) )
The Cyber resistance
Set in a Cyberpunk futuristic city, a disgraced soldier is recruited to spy on a former lover/friend/crush from the orphanage they grew up together in. She is now an influential member of a resistance style terrorist organisation. I’m looking for a slow burn romance with a lot of angst and drama as they unpack the hurt from their past.
The Clone
Set in either a sci fi or fantasy world, the clone birthed from science or magic is destined to spend their every breath serving their master. The master and their clone develop a complicated and angst filled relationship during the politically volatile situation in the city.
An Epic fantasy
I don’t have a particular plot for this one. I’m looking to build a unique fantasy world together and create a truly epic tale. I want adventure, love, angst, heart break, action, politics, world spanning wars.
