Welcome to Istituto Nova per Giovani Eccezionali. This academy located in the countryside of Italy is an international reference in training young mutants with the greatest degree of discretion throughout Europe. We don't care about your background or how you ended up here, whether you're the son of a great millionaire, a military experiment, or an individual too difficult for the authorities to handle. We are funded by Alchemax Industries, so don't worry about the costs of your education and your stay at the institute. It's entirely optional. The only thing we need from you is that you be ready for this next stage in your life. You're free to go whenever you like, even when you've already enrolled. And don't worry about how you got here either. You signed a term that allowed us to erase your memory of the route to reach the facilities, as a security measure. You can request the video in which you verbally declare your acceptance at any time!

Be aware that your training will include theoretical classes, physical training and even field missions. You will be able to choose your academic path and in four years you will have a bachelor's degree and full control of the gifts provided by your mutation. You are free to explore all of your options and if you want to apply to different programs then please do not hesitate to contact the faculty and we'll take care of it. You will have the support of a competent staff that is only concerned with the best development of your skills. Cassandra Nova, chancellor and founder of the institute, will accompany you at all times and ensure your success while you are here. Welcome to my Interest Check for an X-Men adventure. As you may have noticed, this roleplay will take place in an alternative universe in which Cassandra Nova, Charles Xavier's twin sister, decides to create her own institute for the development of young mutants. In this universe, Xavier still doesn't know about his sister's existence and she seeks to create a team that can compete directly with her brother's pupils. If you're interested, feel free to describe a mutant you'd like to play. Original characters are encouraged, but you can use canonical characters from the comics if you wish. My only caveat is referring to the Original X-Men from the comics (Marvel Girl, Cyclops, Angel, Iceman and Beast), as they will be the main rivals of Cassandra's team. If you present a very strong justification I might consider allowing some of these characters. I look for a small group of players with a maximum of 4 besides myself. There will be no first come, first serve. The characters that add the most to the team will be accepted. An important warning is not to create extremely powerful characters. In fact, the evolution of the characters' powers will be part of the roleplay plot, as Cassandra Nova has genetic manipulation abilities. In addition, the characters must be young, since the proposal is for the institute to function as a university. The required age range is 19 to 23 years old (only concerning characters, all players are welcome). This is intended to be a long RP with multiple arcs, so I ask that only willing players apply.

Just so you guys know, I plan on making a character that's called Poltergeist. His powers include astral projection, possession, and generating/controlling electricity.

I love this idea! My character would be called Ella but she would have the ability to like change shape kinda like mystique from x-men. She would also have the ability to control water and or fire

So this is interesting and I have a character in mind. Basically he was going to be born a conjoined twin, but in the last weeks of the pregnancy his twin disappeared. It would turn out that the twins X-Gene activated really early and he transformed into energy and entered his twin. When the remaining twin hits puberty he is able to release his energy twin as an electric looking being. He can fly, shoot energy blasts, and transform into different shapes. But the downside is that the physical twin is unconscious during this period and they can only be separated for a limited amount of time. It’s kind of like Negative Man from DC Comics if you know the character.

But in relation to his back story, I see you have said this is Marvel AU. I would like to know if none mutant superheroes are a thing, and if so are there any teams at this point. I’m asking because my character is going to be Canadian, and I would like to tie in Alpha Flight (the original Canadian superhero team iteration). If not I can come up with something else to fit the world of this RP.
