Ooh, I'm loving the activity here! Glad to see you Izkripp! As well as you Ryver, although I haven't had the chance to roleplay with you yet.

Haha, that's exactly my plan. I'm not going to give Elysia magic but instead she'll have advanced technology which might appear to some as magic if the person observing from a world that is not as technically advanced as the world Elysia is from. My next post, which should be up tomorrow, will be getting more into all this though.

When I first leapt into Advanced, it was a little tricky and intimidating at first but I know from experience that if you stick around it'll help you out in improving your writing. I'm not going to lie, it's going to take more work than writing in Casual but if you do your best and aim at trying to improve you should be fine! If you or Izkripp ever need any help, don't be afraid to ask.

MisterMonkey, the intro posts are meant to be a way for us to go crazy and flesh out our characters. I've never really try it before and thought it'd be an interesting alternative to character skeletons. Maybe you're more comfortable when the real stuff starts happening, with more material to bounce off of. i used to be like this. I used to dread the first post of a RP because I found the opennes in possibilities to be daunting.

The idea is just to tell us a story. My posts are actually a terrible example of this, since I got too caught up with my NPC. All I can say is hang in there and see where you're at once the real stuff gets rolling.

Haha, I might have gotten a little carried away on my post. I've reached over two thousand words and am still going strong at it. Hopefully it doesn't become a torturous read or anything like that once I'm done.

By the way, what kind of music is everybody into? I preordered an album a couple of months ago that I'm really looking forward to getting tomorrow. It's from this electro-pop/rock band called Uh Huh Her (try saying that out loud without sounding silly). I'm not particularly into the electro-pop genre, but something about the band resonates with me. I usually listen to metal and punk rock. I'm really into The Offspring and Nightwish.

I liked nightwish for a while. I listen to vocaloids a lot. Mostly it is my playlists. I have their original songs and covers so I can sing the songs in my own language if I want :)

My friends got me into metal and my father has influenced me into liking rock over the years Hah.

Nightwish! I listen to some of their songs but I am still ambivalent about their songs. My friend recommended them. I love Emilie Autumn, Emilie Simone and P!nk! Love oldies too.

Vocaloids will always have a special place in my heart. My fav songs are Trick or Treat, Circle Game, Umbrella at World's End, Servant of Evil and many more.

uh oh. I forgot how popular vocaloids are on RP forums. I remember once I was in a RP of like 20 people and I was literally the only one who didn't know what it was so I was totally alienated in the OOC. I'm GM though, so you're obligated to explain this phenomenon to me in a way that a first grader would understand =)

So, it's like fan-created singers? and they make covers and original songs with them?

I haven't ever been alienated from a group because I didn't understand something. Usually someone will point me in the right direction lol.

:) I don't like them because of forums, I like them because I have an anime/manga addiction problem and vocaliods are a part of my fix.

Great, so we've got a full house now. I'm really looking forward to everybody getting their flashback posts done. Things should get interesting.

I'll check out the songs you recommended Ryver.

Edit: They're not bad, but I don't see myself getting into it. I kind of liked Servant of evil, though. It reminded me of Sonata Arctica with the whole narrative that's going on in the lyrics. I don't know if any of you are familiar with them.

I like the kagerou days album. Children's record. Romeo and Cinderella, witch hunt, six trillion years, panda hero, kokoro, remote control, game of life, death should not have taken thee, and cruel clocks :)

I have others I like but there are waaaaaay to many.
