Admittedly, I kinda want the answer, but at the same time, it's nice to leave it up to interpretation! I'll see what the others say

Oh, and I'm gonna be dropping out of this RP with Morgan now that Wesley's catharsis is wrapped up ;-; I'll come back with a more fleshed out OC in the future, but for now I'll just be spectating. (I really can't think of anything for him and I'm. very busy atm and would like to focus on just one or two rps for now). It was lovely RPing with y'all though, Sirpa and Teresa are awesome

Also, with Vicis/Teresa, it would help to have hiders showing what the characters perceive lol. I also love chaos as long as I can navigate it somehow 😅 I know for me, I don't want Sirpa and Damien to perceive each other because that will end up confusing me. I'm gonna have Damien not perceive Jay but Sirpa will. For her, she's only going to perceive human/humanoid characters

For feedback, I liked how you did Wesley's catharsis in general (the club symbolism, the visions, etc), it was super interesting and fun to explore. Also love how you incorporated the nickname I gave him into the story too! Although, I think you could give more freedom in terms of exploration? Maybe give a more detailed layout and whatnot, although I understand it's the first catharsis we solved, so keeping it simple is fine.

Otherwise, that's most of the feedback I got. You're an amazing GM, and I'll just tack this on, I always pictured your pfp as like. the default keeper in everyone's catharsis LMFAO

@Stanifly If we do go with this, I'm thinking maybe the easiest option is to use the hiders and explicitly tell us what the others do or do not hear from Teresa and Vicis.

in that case, I'll do hiders. I'd say for now that Teresa atm can perceive the chars there were alr present when she arrived + Jay, and Vicis can perceive Damien, Jay, Silas, and Aelvira.

Wesley/Westbound grew up pretty isolated. His mother was the bread winner of the family and worked a lot. That usually meant Wesley was often under the care of someone else when he was little, but once he hit a certain age he more or less took care of himself. The father wasn't present for most of his life, and what he does remember is of him using corporal punishment on him "for no reason."

It is unknown if Wesley/Wesbound is actually on the spectrum, because he has never been diagnosed, however he (and other members of the maternal side of his family) has displayed traits of it. He has high Neuroticism, and as such, he's constantly battling with anxiety, depression, sudden outbursts of anger (though one could say this is more because of his father's parental methods), and low self-esteem/worth.

Another thing to note is that Wesley has a mixed background and actually knows more than one language. But that came with its own set of difficulties when communicating with others who only spoke one language.

All this combined, Wesley has struggled with communication on various levels and forms, and has learned, more or less to bottle things up. When he was younger, he expressed himself through the arts, but as he got older he had less time to do these things and eventually stopped doing arts all together.

While Wesley can be considered an introvert, he actually likes hanging out with people (he in fact strongly craves it when he hasn't spoken/texted someone for days), and he doesn't mind being in busy places, but this comes from extreme loneliness.

The massive disconnect with the conversations in his Catharsis is based on my personal experience, bumped up to 10. I've had many instances where I meant to say/write one thing, but then when I look back on it, I realized how it was taken another way 😭 One example is actually when I said:

In my head, I meant that I was guilty of using bad grammar... but then I realized later on that it sounded like I get frustrated at seeing bad grammar 😭

So yeah... communication's hard.

@Tlazolteotl ahhh, that makes a whole lotta sense. that multilingual spice just makes wesley all the more interesting! I'd be interested in how his Catharsis progresses later on in if he ever makes a reappearance. Miscommunication: Electric Boogaloo (except we alr did a dance club thing... maybe the next time will be somewhere less overstimulating lol).

I like how flushed out Wesley is! I definitely didn’t expect him to be that detailed since it was just a demo and I am pleasantly surprised. Guess that’s what makes a good RP scenario 😁
