Oh my gosh... this happened so many times in our field. Recently, there was this one student (from a different university) who contacted our PI and he showed off this one report he wrote... which one our own interns read and found out that this whole paper was basically AI generated (more specifically there was a butt load of hallucinated citations and the real information was interpreted in a way that made no sense given the context). It's soooo bad 😭

You'd think, right? But I think we've come to the point where A.) more and more people use it in that way, so there's not as much shame attached to doing it; and B.) it's also not uncommon for people to just have AI read it so... maybe they thought no human being would actually read and take the time to validate the report?

Either way, we humans have become very lazy 😭

@DaftJive Apparently it's gotten bad enough that there's people who don't know "how students before ChatGPT could even write 600 word essays," or something like that. At first I thought it was a joke. Now... not so much 😭

Have we come to the point where some people can't function with out it?

@Tlazolteotlomgg i forgot abt that, it reminds me of a vid of that exact situation of a teacher saying to his class rhey need to write at Least a paragraph without chatgpt and the amount of groans of complaint were insane. like girl i used to have to write Pages in one hour in highschool years back nd they getta pull This now instead like wtf 😭

i have no idea, man.. competent literacy without ai is dwindlin it looks like and its straight abysmal

So I ask this whenever a new character jumps in, but did you want other characters to perceive Floriano? If yes, there's essentially two groups right now: Jay and Damien's. If you'd rather do your own thing, that's an option too!
