@Tlazolteotl Feedback? Well I knew what I was getting into after reading the description, and it was fairly consistent with that. I don't write enough to judge your posts, but they seemed well written and adaptive.
Are we doing this, or were you just taking a survey? You have a few responses, so I would expect you to share a role-play idea.
This has been a decent exercise, and I appreciate my mini-catharsis, but I'm dropping out. I'm more interested in a group dynamic than a turn-based battle against depression.
The gentleman was becoming irritably impatient. Jealousy was not a regular companion to him, with his shiny metal watch and intellect. However, no man is an island, and the respect of others was something he viewed as both a reward and a necessity for business. He tapped the vacant counter before him, echoing the clanks of cups and silverware enjoyed by customers. He certainly didn't feel like a customer himself. Rather, he felt more like a spectator. Rather than a watchmaker or even a watch wearer, he felt more like a window-shopper pressing his nose against a glass. So far his query on the barista's location hadn't been answered, though he supposed that he hadn't properly addressed it to anyone in particular. It may as well have been a voice to the void. He considered asking someone properly, either Jay or the purple-haired woman. however neither seemed especially talkative.

Floriano was distracted from his discomfort when he heard someone nearby in pain. He turned to the quiet woman who finally spoke, watching multiple reactions in her body. Seeing her pain, he commented, "You too? Maybe these seats are splintered or something." Just when his expression relaxed for a bit, he noticed that someone who had arrived just after him was now being served. "Oh, there he is..." He felt a pitch on the skin under his watch and flinched. However, he also noticed that the purple-haired person was holding her own arm in pain. He pointed his finger and inquired, "Is your arm alright?" And just like that, a gram of compassion neutralized his selfish suffering. "If you want, I can walk over to that barista and ask for some ice. He's been giving me the cold shoulder anyway," he offered with a smile.
Floriano frowned, realizing that the man's uncertainty extended past a mere first impression. "Oh, I'll pass on those so-called appetizers. That doesn't sound like a sustainable business for either side. It seems that we're both new to this establishment." Lacking any recommendation or menu, the gentleman looked around for the barista so that he inquire about his options for coffee. Unfortunately, the barista was nowhere to be found. This bothered Floriano, as he had been sitting there for a few minutes without any greeting or welcome by anyone other than Jay.

The gentleman tapped his foot impatiently, then felt a sting as if he had stepped on a nail. He checked his dress shoes but found no puncture or blemish on either or them. He complained loudly, "Buggers, how long must a man wait to be served some coffee."
Thanks @Haha. I'll treat "Apply" as an invitation.
Thanks for the encouraging words @Yankee.

Hey, I'm having some trouble. I've repeatedly browsed threads in Free RP and Casual RP, restricting myself to threads with less than 100 posts, less than ten characters, and used within the last month. Out of the threads that are open, most are difficult for me to get into. As I mentioned before, word count is part of the problem. I think 500 words per post is the most I'm comfortable with for now. I don't want to think I'm being picky about genre, but that might be the second half of the problem due to my lack of interest in magical RP. I think I'd be fine with a medieval story without magic, but I guess that barely exists.

Do you have any advice? Should I go for those threads with hundreds of posts, read the first and last page, and make a a character? Should I make a medieval character and go for those magical RP threads? Pardon me for pinging you just for motivation.
A man dressed in loose, blue and yellow clothes sipped a cocktail to loosen up. Having paid upon receipt of the drink, he stood up from the bar and mildly shuffled to the beat of the band. He was having a solitary celebration of his new-found freedom. Far from the from the troubles of the satellite where he was raised, he was looking forward to a future brighter than a blue sun. He sipped his blend again, eager to join the people dancing. Even with the music, he could hear kitchen staff communicating. His eyes were drawn to the menu out of curiosity. "Hmm, that steak is tempting. Circuit? And I wonder where the cows come from..." he considered.

Looking back to the small crowd near the DJ, he caught himself not chilling out as intended. "Watt am I saying? I can worry about circuits later. Time to let the sparks fly." He raised his glass and drank all but a quarter of his drink after finishing his self-motivating monologue. "Aah, I like this one," he said while facing the bartender. He noticed someone seated at a booth with dark eyes, but then remembered where he was and dismissed it as being something like eye make-up. With that, he finished his drink and left the glass behind.
The gentleman returned Jay's welcome, comforted by the man's assurance that he bore no ill will. He waited a moment, wondering if the less-than-energetic fellow would continue speaking after vaguely describing the scene as "this". The sound of mugs landing on tables and utensils clattering resounded in the vacuum of a conversation that hadn't even started. Realizing that the statement was complete, he looked around to get a closer look at what "this" was. Other than a silent woman oriented like a partner to this conversation, nothing really shined light onto his situation. He didn't want to embarrass himself by asking what "this" was, so he nodded as if he understood. "Pleased to be here Jay. My name is Floriano." The gentleman offered a handshake to Jay with a smile.

He then began to ponder on how what he should order, checking his metal watch as he did. He hadn't docked into this port with any itinerary, but embraced the saying about not being particular about ports in inclement weather. He supposed that he could watch the barista until he was introduced to a menu and then inspect it to make an informed decision. However, the vague response from the fellow customer mirrored his own uncertainty, to which he drew some comfort from. Seeing Jay as someone he didn't have to impress, Floriano innocently inquired, "Do you recommend anything on the menu Jay?"
I had planned on completing a non-fandom RP on here before getting into a fandom one. However, I can hardly ignore a fellow MMX fan. If you have an actual plot idea then I might participate.
