M I S C E L L A N E O U S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ► Haannah has three sisters. Gia, Eunice, and Sara... Hannah is the youngest, and has always been an odd duck. Even around her family she is quiet and distant. The type to slink off early during family gatherings, especially if there is a crowd. She loves them, but she doesn't think anyone in her family was outside during the collapse.
Penelope Green. Hannah's long time best friend, room mate, and definitely not the girl she has crushed on for years. They are basically inseparable. The only reason they didn't enter the dungeon was because Penelope had caught a night shift at the hospital, where she works as a nurse.
I picture this as an unspoken and unaknowledged romantic relationship. They are both a little awkward about romance, with Penelope being Ace and Hannah being... well Hannah.
If this character came up later as a crawler, I imagine Hannah would struggle. Hannah will be forced to emotionally grow quickly, and I think will come to resent herself from before the crawl. I think as she begins to change and warp from the crawl, She will be basically unrecognizable from who she was before. -
Everyone who went to school with Hannah is bound to remember her. The mousy girl, who seemed smarter than everyone else... She went to gifted classes, and got straight As. It was easy, and school was boring for a girl who could soak up information that quickly. It lead to her becoming a bit of a procrastinator, someone who would push projects off until the due date...
She spent a lot of time playing video games, and staying at home. She didn't go to any crazy parties, or go out on dates... She enjoyed solving the puzzles and problems that online gaming had in troves. She got a license to work in a pharmacy as a tech, and with her father's insistence she started night classes to become a pharmacist.
She is the youngest of four daughters, and Hannah is the black sheep of her siblings. Enjoying her peace and quiet. Hannah is very confident in her self, and her ability to recall information... but she has trouble expressing her confidence.

Diving into the dungeon seemed like the smartest move at the time. Hannah will come to question her decision, questioning herself, and the people who have banded around her as family. Was this a wrong call, a faulty plan? Her real family would never choose something like this... Seeming the system as a life and death version of a MMO, Hannah begins to gain confidence again. This time it shows outwardly, as she begins to grow more comfortable and confident with her found family.
A decision she makes brings the whole of her group into a dangerous situation, and she will rely on them to keep her grounded as she begins to spiral.
Early in the dungeon perhaps at the end of floor two, she takes a devastating blow that shakes up her entire build. To save someone important to Loralie?
Hannah is used to being the smartest person in the room, with very little effort... how much would her world spin, if that was suddenly untrue?

When Loralie enters the dungeon, she's a laid back and a bit of a partier on the weekends. She partakes in drinking and the devil's lettuce to free herself from the prison she's built around emotions. Generally agreeable, she'll support you in your endeavors, but has some preconceived notions of black and white for certain rights/wrongs. That sticks around when she enters the dungeon. The gate to her grief and rage is jarred free from her at the injustice of Diane's death. She's angry. She doesn't understand why a seemingly all knowing entity would refrain from committing that atrocity against her friend. She has faith in death, if anything, and that makes her quietly dangerous. I think she has the potential to be funny, and is charming (see 5 charisma & radio experience). Her principals are important to her, and she believes that people should die for a good reason, and that's it. She's persistent, but sometimes that comes off in her ability to become ruthless against people versus her friends. She knows she's not the sharpest tool in the shed or the strategist. Eventually I see her sense of justice blossoming into unchecked arrogance. But she's more alive and participating in her relationships.

Oath of the Marytr: Loralie is dying of Brugada Syndrome, her attacks are getting worse. She's been resuscitated twice. This class is introduced to the character because they need a way to stay alive in the dungeon & their "Cheat Death" stat is .5 as opposed to 0.(xp .25 per resuscitation via defib).
a) Martyrdom: I vow that my life will mean something bigger when I die. Unfortunately dying in the dungeon is on that list. But dying of a Earth-bound disease? Absolutely no longer a problem. [Later levels could lead to character negotiating with the AI] b) The Fallen: I vow to not forget the fallen. A collector of stories, where in learning of a crawler who has fallen from a party member allows for the telling of these stories to cast an order of healing spells. c) Endurance: I vow to be strong for those who need it. Makes them our tank. They can heal, do physical damage with a weapon, and tank. This could be good mechanically to balance your caster.

Loralie's story is about discovering and processing grief, rage, and their multitudes. She starts out attempting to repair the radio tower in Harrisburg, nothings wrong with it, the crawl was getting ready to start. It was late at night, during one of her shifts. The two other night employees came down (Jack & Diane), and Sharod brought over the big tool box from the garage they both worked at. When the entrances appear, Loralie is in shock but follows her best friend Sharod into the cave. Diane wants to follow, but Jack pulls her back. Sharod grabs ahold of Diane to haul her in by her hands, but Jack has her by the ankles. At the last moment before the gate slams down locking them inside, Loralie leans forward to pull Sharod inside. This last act leaves them with the top half of Diane's body. Her organs are sawed right down the middle.
They're all registered as crawlers, but Diane's dead in moments, blue and shivering in the face.
TL;DR - Sheltered graduated mechanics apprentice is dying of a heart related syndrome that is made worse by her environment of a car shop. Becoming a radio dj- she tells stories of dead Harrisburg citizens. Her reddit community has concerns about her lack of emotion during intense stories.
Loralie grew up in a relatively sheltered family. She attended public school, was in the marching band, and went to every Friday Night Football game when she was in high school. She was raised by a single mother, who lived with Lor's grandma. Lor's father died when he was in his late twenties, when she was 8. This was devastating to her mother, but led to Loralie having a rather cavalier opinion of death. She wasn't really impacted by grief because she wrapped it up in a box and stuffed it deep within her chest.
It didn't start to impact her until she was 23. She was working as a recently graduated apprentice at a Ford backed mechanics shop. The jack came down too hard and almost crushed Sharod. Her heart started beating, and then it felt like a butterfly with 6 foot long wings was interrupting her pulse. Sharod drove her to the hospital because she couldn't afford the ambulance ride. That was the start of her hatred of the financial circumstances surrounding the medical system.
Working at the radio station was supposed to be her out from working in an environment that was actively triggering her Brugada syndrome. At 27, she was hired as a PA for the most tenured late night dj in Harrisburg. What she didn't realize until she got the job, was that he was also notoriously a no show. That meant The Late Night Lor(e) show was steadily on the air by the time she was 29. In that time, she told stories of every day Harrisburg citizens who passed away. The good, the bad, the ugly, the heroic. If a listener had a memory to share, she would consider inviting them on.
She had a tiny community of people who would discuss the stories on a reddit thread. As of late, her listeners wanted to know why she never cried, even during the most devastating stories. She locked that skill away deep inside.
I picture someone in the party doing something against her morales and she nearly kills them for it or does. If she does- I think this should cause her to become a oath breaker paladin of a sort- which suddenly brings her morality back into question.
Sharod is self assured. He's someone who acts first, and talks about it later. He grew up in a family that was apart of the Move movement, but his Mom left the group when he was about 12. She wasn't quite sure how she felt about pinning Sharod's life down for him ahead of time. His father agreed, but stayed behind as to not arouse the wrath of some of the members. They are separated, but not romantically. He met Loralie in middle school. They sat next to each other in class, were both relatively new to the neighborhood, and they've practically been inseparable best friends ever since. Sharod is driven by his sense of self. Which is something that is called into question starting from the moment he gets in the dungeon. I picture him as a strong steady presence, but on the quieter side. I see him becoming afraid of that and he becomes more and more boisterous as he loses his physical identity.

Sharod's story is about finding sense of self when your physical self is lost- seemingly forever. It's about finding peace in things outside your control, and who you become when you lose everything.
She doesn't spend a lot of time talking about her past, or opening up. Zoe came from a rough part of town, and lived a life most would find distasteful. She joined a crowd of unsavory types at a young age, spending a lot of time bouncing from Juvi to foster home, staying more nights than she would care to admit without a roof over her head.
By her 20th birthday she was already in prison, and when she exited... She was scarred. A prison brawl gone wrong, had caused significant damage to her right eye and scarring ran across her face. After her stint in the system Zoe was a changed woman. With a legal okay, she moved to Texas and lived her life on the right side of the law.
She stumbled a few times, sinking into old habits... but she honestly wanted to be a better person. After a few years, she found an relatively normal life. She works in a bakery, and even though she can be terrifying to behold... Zoe is a big softy, a total work mom to all the younger people she works with.
She doesn't have much, most of her money goes to rent, bills, and saving for retirement... but she still manages to find funds to donate to those who are trying to find stability like she has.
