”Passion’s Daughter”
Sa’Saori was born in the Duchy. Her mother, Jehnna, was a pretty human scullery maid commoner seduced by a visiting Elven Knight, Perishial Gilderleaf. Her mother was just another of his ‘conquests’, but her mother was already married to a human cobbler named Taramin. When Jehnna gave birth to her half-elven daughter Taramin was enraged his ego never accepting the fact his pretty wife had dared to be unfaithful and he harbored a secret hate for “her” even prettier elven daughter.
Tragedy struck when Sa’saori was only age 15 her mother fell ill of and died suddenly. Taramin in his grief and shame , still dealing with unresolved anger at his deceased wife sold Sa’saori to a slaver. He could not raise a child that so reminded him of his wife and her unfaithfulness.
So Sa’saori’s happy childhood turned into a nightmare as she grew up sold as a slave child… mistreated, taken advantage of and abused.
When she turned 21… her natural arcane powers revealed themselves and she ran away from her enslavers. She had some grueling times on her own - alone on the streets of Ryken so far from home that she barely remembered but decided to seek her elven heritage and wandered into the Fae See and was eventually taken in by the Church of Fire.
She learned how to use her blossoming sorcery powers and master it… trained by the masters the church provided. Sa’saori’s “paid” the church back for that training with devotion and obedience but her half-blood, and years as an abused slave ~ always made them question her 'purity' and her training was hard and sometimes... unfair.
She learned enough to find out the true history of her birth and with the ‘Fire Huntresses’ eventually found out who her ‘true’ father was, the fate of her mother and the where-abouts of her step-father.
She got her ‘vengeance' by simply confronting her ‘step-father’ and telling him she lived and would be all the things her mother would have wanted her to be – strong, proud and free! And that she would NEVER have anything more to do with him! She just wanted him to know she lived and nothing he could do would destroy her or diminish the memory of her mother!
As for her True ‘father’ she schemed a way to meet him but when she finally did she was disappointed that he did not know or really care who she was. So she left without telling him at all… but not before swiping a House Gilderleaf Elven Curve Blade-Catalyst without asking…
Now she is an adventurer sorceress and focuses on improving her magic.
