Astra shakes her head clearly many here were not warriors at all... their tactical assessment of the threat ... faulty. But none were dead... yet. Though the Pixie seemed to be full of criticism but little to contribute save sporadic blasts of energy to the effort save... putting herself at risk with little resilience to back it up.

Astra moved again flying to intercept the new creature threatening the mouthy Pixie. Again another wall of near naked female Viltrimite flesh intercepting the creature! This time she met the creature with a Flying Punch not to waste time merely blocking it but letting the force of her blow SMASH it and any nearby in her path as she flew to the fissure Breach ~ careful to 'aim' her attack to not strike her allies with the 'splash' of her shattering impact!

Astra spared the wordy Pixie a comment as she flew by, "Blast, Talk, or Fly Out the way ~ Pick One!"

To the other more combat useful companions, "FORWARD, They Falter... CRUSH THEM!!"

At the edge of the fissure she again unleashed Radiant Vision from her eyes... cutting into the numbers she could see already at the fissure trying to claw their way through... and then again a weaker blast but further reaching Natural weapon Energy Eye Beams at the clawed creatures within ~ charging the Fissure from below in the distance...

Hopefully pushing the 'Front' forward as the Gunman and the Elf-child added their effort of summoned minions and gunfire. At least the shield maiden constructs... would absorb the wounds of the clawed creatures while their pike-wielding sisters charged in for a hedge of pain for the horde to impale itself upon!

To those watching... they can see Astra is NOT bleeding anymore ... and her wounds... seem less serious now...

OOC: This is my 6th post and Astra was directly attacked in the GM post in response to her 1st Post action. Either this post or the NEXT post.. she will be fully Healed of ALL injuries with her Regeneration F 'Regains all HP/6posts'

Astra hovered briefly above surveying the battle scene and seeing for the first time how her allies were fairing... they were being overwhelmed.

She went into action to change the balance of the engagement... modesty at her tattered costume being her least concern...



First she flew to interpose for Taotie, blocking with her body... a flying wall of partially naked Viltrumite female flesh to stop the clawed horror in mid-leap with her body.

She did not stop but grabbed the creature and swung it at the other bounding across the room using it as a Club to smash both!

Then Astra turned her ~ apparently now, Natural Energy Eye Beams on the many claws gripping the edge of the fissure seeking to climb into the chamber... careful to aim for the creatures and NOT damage the fissure further to allow more into the chamber ...

Internally, Astra could feel her stored 'radiant' energy reserves being expended rapidly... soon she would have no more magical? energies remaining to unleash her beams... she had to end this fight quicker. She had miscalculated how many foes were assaulting what she thought was mere dozens was clearly now hundreds...

"We must break through this flow of foes... I'll focus on blasting the foes coming out of the fissure... but my energies are not unlimited... we MUST advance!"

Astra realized with a building of burning pain behind her eyes that she could 'push' the radiant energy harder from her eyes but she would hurt herself to do so... in this case.. considering the odds in numbers and the threats involved for the city as a whole if these creatures were allowed to run free and wreak havoc... if her and the party did not stop them here... restraint seemed more prudent than her mother's advice ~

'If You not hitting hard enough for it to hurt.. Your not hitting HARD Enough!'

Astra could push this newfound power... and likely end up blind... but that would not serve the immediate needs. She was sure she's eventually regenerate any such self-inflicted damage... but even with her Sonar hearing to guide her blows...with all the ruckus from the howling beasts and cacophny of battle ... her sonar returns were ...iffy. Better coordination would be possible sighted ~ with the party.

So she eased off the on the flow of the radiant energies pouring forth from her eyes... noting she could 'feel' this pool of energy was not 'endless'.. she could exhaust the power. She knew not how she knew or how she 'felt' it would slowly build again... but it was a resource she now would put to more of a tactical use.. than just trying to match the creatures savagery with her own.

Easing on the flow of the emitted energy so as not to hurt her eyes... Astra first focused the beams on the creatures holding onto her body trying to bite and claw her ~ severing griping limbs and necks to free her of some of their weight using that brief opening to fly with her super-strength [lift 600lbs] up through the fissure back into the room with her comrades to hover above the rift.

She turned move radiant beams on the creatures that grabbed at her as she rose incinerating or severing limbs that tried to forestall her ascent into the chamber...

Once she was back in the room she turned her radiant eye beams on any of the creatures that leap to grab her as she floated up to the roof to gain some space to see how she might assist her comrades... the flow of monsters had truly been unexpected ... it was clear to Astra Teamwork would be needed to FORCE them back!

Sa'Saori grimaced, but was undaunted... muttering "If one hit does not work... Hit it Again ~ Success is the flower of Repetition... !!!"

This time she regarded the positioning of the foes and saw.. she needed not to move at all to attack... they had not advanced enough to put them out of her spells reach, nor were they close enough to threaten Alicia... a 'tactical' mistake they would pay for.

Holding her position she held her elven curved blade high to parry... but instead with a flourish of her hybrid Blade Catalyst called upon her arcane inner fires and cast another fireball. A bead of burning radiance streaked from her blade and blossomed into... the 15'ft radius sphere of fiery destruction the ravening fires centered on Guardian 1, and engulfing Guardians 2 and 3!

Spell cast, she held position to allow the magic to flow into the spell, but with a quick sweeping flourish she wove a weaker arcane enchantment into her blade on a quick casting and slashed at guardian 2 for being within melee reach!

The empowered Curve-Blade glowed with searing radiance as she swept a whirlwind attack to hit anything that dared to get close...

Astra fumed her rage building like a wave of fury... and then ... it literally exploded ~ from her eyes!?!

Beams of golden Radiant Searing Energy wherever she turned her Burning Gaze!

No one was more surprised.. than she was!!! These last few weeks she'd felt ... odd. She knew when she arrived in this world she was no where near as strong as she had been back on Earth and she could not figure out why she was soo weak. She had felt a slowly building burning inside her body... she had though perhaps it was fatigue... but that was non-sense Viltrumite did not get fatigued!

But during the fights she had been in working for the Adventurers Guild the feeling had gotten worse not pain but a seething under her skin.. totally not like anything she had ever felt before. But now.. it was clear.. or perhaps perplexing even more?

The energies bursting forth from her eyes were pure magic! No viltrumite could do this... what was happening to her?!? It was like her body was slowly filling with magical energies from the very nature of this Realm/World.. and now that power was being unleshed ... mostly uncontrollable... save direction...

So in the same pragmatic way of her mother... she put it to destructive immediate Use... turning her gaze upon the creatures weighting down her limbs and flight ~

Astra regarded the approaching oversized hairless reptiles with their elongated hooked forelimbs... she was not sure how tough they were or how hard they hit... but as mother had always said ~ 'If you don't know if you can take a hit ~ Find Out! ALWAYS BE ATTACKING!'

Thinking, 'Alright, take their measure and feed it right back at them!', Seeing no need to approach as the beasts were doing the work for her by charging in she paused waiting momentarily to judge distances... and once the closest charging beast was withing reach lightning quick she acted.. not avoiding it but counter-attacking by turning her block of its elongated clawed forelimb slash at her into a grab... then taking flight she flew up dragging the beast with her superstrength to the fissure crack above and swinging it like a fleshy club at ... the mass of beasts attempting to exit the fissure from below smashing and area with her Viltrum might!

In flight she positioned herself some 15'ft within the Fissure Gap closest to the party so if they called for immediate help she would EASILY hear them with her Heightened Hearing and be able to react to come to their aid... and also not hit any of them with her thunderous smashing Area attacks as she waylaid into the foes!

She ignores the creatures, attempting to bite or claw her ... focusing on grabbing and using the one in hand to smash and crush the hordes swarming to the fissure opening. If they actually can hurt her.. she'll find out quickly and will regenerate, if they can't hurt her.. then she never should have bothered worrying and just focused on smashing the curs ~ 'ALWAYS BE ATTACKING...' ~ "Right Mom."

Astra had been walking the streets pitching in with her superstrength here and there to aid in removal of the rubble from the recent quake... it was a lovely day, but did not seem she would find a fight today... which made it less than perfect but still ~ the sun was shining and people were grateful for her help which she gave with no hesitation.

Then the mental message came to her mind... telepathy she thought it was called. There were few with such talent back on Earth... but it must be something of the norm of strangeness in this Realm of the 2nd Continent. But the message was a plea for help... 'A Fight possibly...' and that made Astra's day Even better!

Utilizing her superspeed [Fast] she dashed through the markets and streets at twice the speed any human should be able to move... but she was not wholly human... she was a hybrid half-human, half-alien warrior race Viltrumite. But none of this world knew of outer space not that Viltrum even existed in this dimension of contradictions. Her world she fled through the LevyGate her father had build when the Hybrid Viltrum-humans all revolted against the Galacy conquering warrior race of supermen. A choice that had spelled doom for her earth when the might of the Viltrum Empire judged them and brought its unyielding might down on Earth. The order Extermination... Complete and total. Astra had only escaped because her mother pushed her through the LevyGate before the artificial gate closed... trapping Astra here and forever sealing her world beyond her reach.

Astra had tried to make the best of it but somedays... it really depressed her. She had been a Superhero on Earth, so helping people here came as second nature...and throwing herself into battle against the wicked quieted her own grief with the exhilaration of Triumph in battle against those in need of a beat down. It was cathartic.

With a rush of air a... very oddly dressed young woman entered the basement ruin...

She looked about instantly regarding the fissure in the floor.. her Heightened Sense of Hearing and her Supersences of Echolocation told her some things ... not human were approaching from below.

There was no fear in her soft voice only ... cold certainty... "Someone called for help. I am Astra. I will assist. Some... things, sounding very unfriendly approach from below... I will engage them."

With those simple words, she moved into action ... and move she did.. with single step that seemed to carry - slide her across to the fissure she entered without hesitation jaw set grimly... a slight smile on her pretty features ~ eagar for battle...!!

She wore no obvious armor, and bore no obvious weapons... !

Background: From an alternate Modern Earth. The Alien conquer's ~ The Viltrimite Empire feared throughout space for their titanic god-like abilities as a race of 'supermen' but their rule brutal and violent composed of a Vast interstellar Empire had come to Earth. Secretly ~ as they were indistinguishable from humans, they infiltrated members within the human populous to expand their conquest.. while an internal Civil war raged among themselves between the stars. Humans, of all species of the galaxy can breed true with Viltrimites bearing offspring with Viltrimite abilities though unremarkable humans have no such superhuman abilities themselves! It was a Miraculous discovery for Viltrum and a chance to swell their dwindling numbers!
However, the Hybrid children were loyal to their Earth Roots and rebelled! It did not go well for them and the Earth was laid waste to. In the final hours Sylvia's parents pushed her through an experimental LevyGate to 'save' her from their fate into hopefully a better Alternate Earth... that's when ASTRA / Sylvia Crest arrived in IH. Alone and lost.

No one spoke to her nor for that mater even so much as acknowledge her presence which... was rude but she really didn't care as the Adventure's Guild was paying her for her time... and the last mission of the guild had paid well in coin but most of all in combat experience. Enough so her natural Viltrum senses and superspeed had finally awakened in the heat of battle!

Astra had been so pleased to learn her half-human blood was not so thinned that some of the natural Viltrum abilities were not forever lost to her as some hybrids had been reported as suffering with. But her mother always believed it was only a matter of time... and again.. she had been right.

Astra preened mentally as she stretched out her newfound senses her eye-sight was a keener than a hawk's she could see miles in perfect clarity. Her hearing could detect the scuttling of the rodents in the underbrush... and was even precise to locate unseen targets within 10'ft of her accurately enough to strike!

To all present it seemed as if the strangely dressed young woman decided not to take any note of their ignoring her following along her eyes drifting about unfocused as if she were in a daze for some time... but once the sun hit its zenith, she seemed to come back to the here and now. Then did something really odd... she took some smooth black 'stone-tablet' about the size of one's palm out of one of her many belt compartments and began touching its surface and it glowed with some inner light with shifting colored glowing icons. Then proceeded to move about holding the "stone" up like it were some kind of mirror looking at everyone one at a time or the terrain squeezing the stone to which it clicked softly.

Clearly it must be some kind of enchanted device... but whatever she was doing was completely inscrutable, though she seemed to take a great deal of joy in... whatever it was as she spent long moments gazing at the glowing ... sometimes moving 'pictures' upon the stone's surface.

But sensing when her antics were starting to become annoying she stopped abruptly ~ likely getting bored again... then she focused on the stone... placing something tiny from her belt in her ears?

Then began to shimmy and dance slightly as a very soft sound of music'?'... emitted in the air about her quite unlike ANY kind of music anyone had heard before.

Clearly it was a thumping rhythmic beat that sounded as is bees had been wrangled into some minuscule band or orchestra... words could be hear, a feminine voice but too soft to make out...

Astra's reaction though was clear she greatly enjoyed the music she could obviously hear clearly... as she swayed her shapely hips bobbed her head to the beat and danced lightly about ...

At the song's refrain she sang, not unpleasantly...
