@Expendable Is the hand to hand combat striking/kickboxing like Muay Thai or is it grappling like Jiu Jitsu? What kind of melee weapons is she good with?

Hand-to-hand combat is more like Jiu Jitsu. Muay Thai or Krav Maga is reserved for special forces units, not the grunts.

Melee combat is whatever comes to hand - beer mugs, belaying pins, brass knuckles, paintings, teapots, small kegs, nightsticks, spoons, etc. along with the usual grappling, punching, biting, kicking....

Maybe just call it brawling? Focus on hand-to-hand, with improvised weaponry spliced in.

I'm okay with calling it brawling, if you don't mind the occasional use of someone's prosthetic limb, the odd fork...

@Expendable I separated boxing and grappling as separate unarmed skills and bladed, blunt, and stabbing as separate melee weapon skills.

You could put

Makeshift weapon (blunt): 1 for whacking people with prosthetic limbs then
Makeshift weapon (stabbing): 1 to include stabbing someone in the eye with a spoon

Jiu Jitsu is already a grappling unarmed skill. Knife fighting would be part of training.

She carries a Swiss army knife, the basic camping style with a 2.5 inch blade, is that going to be taken away as a weapon?

Also HP starts at 20 and then you multiply any skills you have that exert energy, for example melee or hand to hand. So yours would be 20 + 8 for the hand or hand and +4 for whatever melee you chose. 32.

@Expendable The grappling is fine. And I will say they view a swiss army knife more as a tool than a weapon.

Okay, updated sheet. HP:32, Jiu Jitsu: 4, Knife Fighting: 2. And yes, pocket knife is a tool. Should have brought a sharpening stone and a deck of cards.

okay to post?

Conrad's HP is correct.
Danny's is correct.
William's is just 38.
Ursula's is just 34.

Damn I overlooked that. But yeah, it's basically anything that exerts energy. Basically any melee combat skill and any support skill that could be considered athletic, like if they had hiking, jogging, power lifting, etc.

@tadcfnaf We don't exactly take turns. If we wait until everyone is on or everyone else has posted we probably won't get anywhere. I even trust people to roll their own dice and figure the success on their own. Generally you need the dice plus your skill to equal 10 to succeed at something, such as landing an attack or picking a lock, with varying levels of success depending on how much higher than 10 the result is. Like doing greater damage or picking the lock without breaking the lockpick or making any noise. I think you might get a feel for it the more you play. In general, don't worry about "winning" because you won't "lose." Focus on the story.

Clover, 21

Although her ability to masquerade indifference is quite impressive, as an influencer, Clover’s desire for approval teeters on neurotic. The ability to manufacture a life fantasy is a skill all social media moguls must master. She was never good at math, but without a doubt, Clover can spot a good angle - and not just for selfies. Like most narcissists, she can adjust the degree of her superficial charm to best suit a situation. Crafting the perfect caption isn’t easy, it’s psychology - but Clover knows how to whip up a witty quip for any occasion, it’s a certified talent.

Clover has recently become embroiled in controversy as the result of a drunk driving accident. Her guilt is uncomfortable so she avoids it, preferring to frame herself as another victim in a tragic incident when the reality is, her moral failure caused the death of two people. Swarmed by cameras, Clover was approached by a strange man posing as a lawyer with an offer to bypass a lengthy court case. As a criminal in the public eye, she may not at first seem like an ideal candidate for an occult study, however, she does indeed exhibit potential.
