[APPEARANCE]
Small, childlike girl with an oversized hooded cloak that hides most of her face. Usually only her eyes are visible—quiet, observant, and constantly scanning her surroundings. She often appears harmless or lost, which she sometimes unintentionally uses to her advantage.

Her staff looks like a simple wooden stick, slightly worn and unremarkable. In reality, it was blessed by an elven mage, allowing it to stabilize and enhance her spells while hiding its true magical nature.

[PERSONALITY]
Quiet and reserved. She rarely speaks unless necessary. Prefers observing over talking. Easily distracted by sweets and has a soft, curious nature. Despite her silence, she is intelligent and highly aware of her surroundings.

[BACKGROUND]
Nyx Fay was born in a small settlement that was destroyed while her parents fled from a mysterious monster. Orphaned during the escape, she was taken in by a dwarf miner who raised her deep within cave systems.

Growing up underground, she learned how to survive in tunnels, identify minerals, and navigate dangerous underground terrain. Over time, she developed an unusual ability to recognize minerals by smell and sometimes even taste. This habit eventually led her to develop a strong obsession with sweets, as they resemble the “pleasant” minerals she once sampled.

The dwarf taught her practical survival skills, but her magical ability emerged naturally. During her time in the caves, she encountered an elven mage who blessed her staff, recognizing her potential before disappearing without explanation.

Eventually, she left the caves to explore the surface world, seeking knowledge, food (especially sweets), and a place to belong.

Haha! Just picturing the group traveling together and all the odd looks that they are going to get is amusing. Fantasy is fun.

The fun part is going into a tavern and the guy has to do an age check to make sure we're legal to drink.

I was thinking of adding to the lore.

Goblins make a sort of ale made up of medical herbs that they call Glee. It's a bit strong with a sort of hay aftertaste, but shouldn't affect anyone drinking it too much and the mild alcohol acts to purify the water.

Boiled down into a paste, it becomes Glah - often spread on wounds to protect them, believing the powerful smell drives off disease (it's just very antibacterial). Warriors who smell jars Glah being pried open often leap to their feet and run back into battle before they can start spreading it. In practice, it keeps the wounds clean, although removing the bandages will remove all hair they may have in that spot.

Goblins villages who have a surplus of Glah will uses it for other things, like waterproofing the roof of their huts (assuming they have huts) and putting back together broken pots. Once it cures in the sun for a few days, it's as good as new, except for all the green between the broken bits.

Hitting a full pot of Glah can bounce back the force onto the attacker.

@Expendable all purpose adhesive, wound spray (spread) projectile as well as repellant and cheap alcohol. Love it.

@Blue Wolf I cannot get the fact goats also use natural salt licks out of my head. If Lorn affiliates you with livestock I am sorry
